At the American Astronautical Society’s Glenn Space Technology Symposium on September 8, Bill Gerstenmaier, SpaceX’s Vice President of Build and Flight Reliability, shared an important insight. He revealed that the company had obtained critical flight data showing greater stability than either computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models or wind tunnel testing had predicted.
