ABOUT YAKUSHIMA TRAIL:
I spend 3 days hiking in the forest that inspired Princess Mononoke, Yakushima. It was a great experience, my first time in Japan. I started hiking in the entrance Shiratani Unsuikyo and went up until Cabin and slept there. In this Cabin I found the first restroom in all of my life hiking in the forest and it was Dry Toilet, very surprised. Second day I went to Taiko Iwa Rock, although unfortunately it was all cloudy and I couldn't see anything. However, I embarked on the famous hike through the forest, admiring its moss-covered trees and unique wildlife. Later I went down until get Mining Railway Track and then I could met some monkeys and continued until the end of Railway Track. After had my lunch I hiked from the End of Mining Railway to Wilson's Stump, and finally I arrived to Jomon Sugi cedar and sadly cloudy again and spent last night in Cabin and all the night it snowed. Last day finally I could watch to Jomon Sugi cedar and I went back along the Mining Railway Track to the entrance Arakawa entrance and in the way I was filled with a lot of nostalgia watching to pictures of Kosugidani Village, all the way it was raining until I took the bus.
