Moses spoke to God and said, “Show me Your glory.” And do you know what? He did! God caused His goodness to pass before him. (Exodus 33:18-19) God’s glory IS His goodness!
Be expecting greater manifestations of God’s glory. Instead of being brought down by circumstances and situations you may be facing, declare the goodness of God and seek His face. Spend time praising and worshiping Him. God loves to manifest Himself when He is worshiped. Speak out and sing His praises, and things you’ve been believing for will come to pass in the glory – and much quicker too!
If you don’t know where to start, read Psalm 136. “For the Lord is GOOD and His mercy endures forever!” Say it with me, “For the Lord is GOOD and His mercy endures forever!”
Thank you for visiting Miller Ministries with Abundant Life Family Church!
Well, praise the Lord. Let's turn to Ephesians chapter 3, and we are going to begin tonight
with a scripture that we used towards the end of our message last Wednesday.
From the Amplified, Ephesians chapter 3 and verse 20.
And we're going to go a little bit of an unusual direction tonight, but I just
couldn't get away from it. The Lord wants us to talk about this, and I'm
not even sure how it'll turn out, but he knows. So keep the switch of faith turned on and keep
drawing. In Ephesians chapter 3, the Amplified, verse 20 says, Now to him who by inconsequence of
the action of his power that is at work within us is able to carry out his purpose and do super
abundantly. Remember we talked about that last week, about the super abundantly part of God.
When you think of God, don't ever think of lack, shortage, or not enough.
You know, you may have to get a good book on heaven sometime and see just how super
abundant God likes to live. He's lavish. He's extravagant. It's always been that way in his
presence, and that was his plan for mankind from the beginning. But we've settled for so much less,
haven't we? And some of you all in the trades have been able to work in beautiful homes and have
somewhat of a vision for what something close to super abundant might look like, but it doesn't
compare to the places in heaven. Any house or mansion, actually Jesus said, in my father's
house there are many mansions. So every one of you has a mansion waiting for you in heaven.
And let me just say this, there's no way you're going to have a mansion on earth like you will
in heaven. So don't try to shoot for something like that. It's not going to happen. You have a
mansion waiting in heaven. I mean, if that's God's plan for you for eternity, why would he want you
to live in a shack on earth? No, he's able. We already know he's able. That part we don't have
to worry about. He's able to carry out his purpose and do super abundantly far over and above all
that we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams.
And here's the part that I needed to say here. He's able to, but he's only able to do these
things to the extent that we allow him to. Because it's according to the power that's working in us
and the power is always present in us. But it will only work to the degree that we release our faith.
But you know, this is something I spend time every day meditating on, is there is great power
in me right now. We don't have to reach up to the heavens to grab it and pull it down. It's right
inside of us. And we walk around with this power every day and usually we're pretty oblivious
to it. It's just great power. You know, the Bible says greater is he who is in you
than he that's in the world. Certainly the greater one lives in us, but it's almost as though
he's dormant without our faith applied, without our expectation applied.
Now look at verse 21. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all
generations. So say, that's my generation. Forever and ever. Amen. So be it. Now we talked about
advancing in life last Wednesday and I hope that you got inspired and that you put a faith project
on your plate. And if you haven't yet, you better get busy. It's already February. Amen. And faith
principles, which is pretty much what we talked about last week, faith principles are important
for us to live by. They're important for us to learn and to follow. But there is another dimension
that's necessary for us in order to get into this super abundantly far over realm of God.
It's not enough just to believe something in your heart and confess it with your mouth.
How many have been confessing something for a long time and you still are waiting to see
the manifestation of it, right? We have a lot of things that we're believing for.
Well, there's another dimension that we're going to talk about tonight and it's called the glory of
God. The glory of God. I heard Pastor Nancy teach this when she was teaching on worship that
so often we're confessing, we're believing, we're praying in the spirit,
but we could have, if you could see a set of scales, you could be really heavy on the prayer
side and the confession side, but you're lacking in the praise and worship side.
And we need to get that praise and worship going in our lives because as she so eloquently put it,
when you start to praise and worship God, you'll eventually get into the anointing.
And it's in the anointing that the yoke is destroyed. See, it's the word of God's always
anointed in a sense, but you cannot do anything apart from the Holy Spirit. Anything apart from
the Holy Spirit is just a principle. It's just a legalistic suggestion or principle or, you know,
check it off on your list. We need the help and the power of the Holy Spirit applied to what we're
doing in order to make things happen. And I think the frustration for a lot of people in churches
like ours is that we learn all these principles. I mean, we're highly trained and we're taught
well. We have a lot of teaching. And I'm a teacher at heart and I've always been a student and so
teaching is my vent. I mean, if you give me a choice between listening to music in the car
or listening to teaching, I will almost always choose teaching. Other people prefer music. Maybe
Isaac, I don't know. But whatever your vent is. So it's good to love teaching and want teaching
and to hear more teaching, but you could be so weighty on that side of the scale.
And I know I am. And then this part with the worship and getting, you know, more of the stream
of the Spirit applied in your life is what's necessary to bring the manifestation of some
things. And so we're just going to talk about the glory of the Lord tonight. See, the glory of God
will move us into manifestation speedily. What sometimes takes us years doing things our way
can be done just like that in the glory of God. It's in the glory that supernatural things take
place. Amen? I was thinking about this recently. I haven't been watching it much lately, but one
of the Flashpoint episodes, I think last week they had Mario Morillo on, and of course he's on
every time, but he was on and he was sharing about how he was, he's been an evangelist for a long
time, guys. I don't know if you realize it, but since the 60s. And he was sharing how back during
the Jesus movement, that what's happening right now in his tent meetings reminds him of the Jesus
movement. And, you know, we've alluded to this several times from this pulpit in the last year,
where you can compare what was going on in the late 60s, early 70s to what we're seeing today.
There were racial riots, there was political upheaval, rebellion against parents, the drug
culture, right? Rebellion to the max. And it looked like things were falling apart, chaos.
And I'm sure that whoever the seasoned saints were at the time were tempted to be disturbed
by what they saw. I'm sure they were tempted to think, oh, this has got to be it. Jesus is
coming back this year, this season, by what they saw. And then look what God did. You know,
the saints need to be praying and believing God always. But in just a short period of time,
he swept across this nation with a mighty move of the spirit, the charismatic revival, we call it,
and just everything just changed. I mean, it turned everything right side up.
And so how long did it take God to change all of that chaos? Not long at all.
And so when he was sharing about what he's seeing in his meetings today remind him of
that particular season. And he said that the biggest keynote of that season was that
people would actually come to him or to his ministry asking, how do I get saved? You didn't
have to go out and find them, like knock on doors for hours and hours every Saturday trying to win
one convert. But they were coming and flocking to him or to ministries like his saying, I need to
get saved. That's the time we're coming into, guys. I mean, it's going to be a glorious time. But see,
it was the glory of God and manifestation. That's really what a revival is. It's the glory of God
and manifestation. And he takes his supernatural power and applies it to what we're trying to make
happen, but we can't do it without him. That's why the frustration sets in, because we're trying to
move things along and make things happen that only the spirit of God can make happen. Now let's turn
to Exodus chapter 33. We're going to look at the glory in the Old Testament, and then we're going
to look in the New. And the reason I'm bringing this up is because there's already beginning
signs of this glory and manifestation across this country, and we want it here. But you only get what
you preach. So stay hooked in. Exodus 33 verse 18. And Moses says to God here, please show me your
glory. Now it's interesting because this is after they had the pillar of cloud by day and the fire
by night. So he'd already seen a manifestation of the glory of God. But here he's saying, please show
me your glory. Then he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the
name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion
on whom I will have compassion. And he said, you cannot see my face, for no man shall see me and
live. And so he was going to put him in the cleft of the rock, and when he walked by, he would put
his hand over him, and he could only see his back parts. That's a lot of glory.
Brighter than the noonday sun glory. So it's interesting though, when Moses said, show me your
glory, the Lord said, I'm going to make all my goodness pass before you. So we can get an
indication here that the glory is the goodness of God. And you know, the first thing I think of when
I think of the word goodness is it's the goodness of God that leads men to repentance. What was it
that caused these people during the Jesus revival to come to them and say, I need to get saved?
The glory or the goodness of God leads people. You know, Brother Hagin would tell stories of people
just coming to the altar. One story in particular that I heard, and I don't know which message it's
in now, but Brother Hagin said, it's only happened once, but hey, God can do whatever he wants.
He said he was preaching a service somewhere, and all of a sudden this man comes walking in
the back doors just as he's making an altar call towards the end of the service. And this man just
looked all disheveled and shocked, and you know, like he'd just seen an alien or a ghost.
And as he's making this altar call, the man starts walking toward the altar, and he falls on his face
and he gets saved. Well, it turned out this man had been walking down the street. I don't know
if he had been drunk or what he'd been doing, but all of a sudden he sees like a bright ball,
a flaming ball that comes down from the sky exploding right in front of him. And as he
walks towards it, it starts moving. And he just, he's drawn to follow this flaming ball. Remember
Dr. Jacobs talked about flaming balls that he threw at people? So he's following this flaming ball,
and it brought him all the way to the entrance of the church. And as soon as he walked through
the doors, that ball disappeared, but he got in there just as Brother Hagen is making an altar
call. And the glory of God drew that man. The goodness of God drew that man to repentance,
and he was saved. That's the kind of manifestation that we're going to see in this hour.
It's not just a few incidents here and there that we can read about from history.
God's wanting to do that and more before the return of Jesus. Now, if you go one chapter over
to chapter 34, verse 6, it says, this is where the Lord actually did pass before him. It says,
and the Lord passed before him and proclaimed the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious.
So remember, Moses said, show me your glory. This is what the Lord is doing. He's showing him his
glory, and he's proclaiming who he is. He's merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and
abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression
and sin. So we see here, this is how God is revealing his glory. He's revealing his character.
He's revealing his nature. Now, the Hebrew definition for glory is a little bit different
than the Greek definition. So in the Old Testament, in these particular passages,
that word glory in the Hebrew means weight, the weightiness of God. Have you ever been in
a service here or somewhere else where you could just suddenly feel the weight of the presence of
God? I mean, I've felt it in services here. In the last 30 years, we have had strong revival
services, primarily in the 90s. It's been a while. That's why we're overdue. Where you could really
feel a strong presence of God. There have been times, I can remember, probably the last time
this happened was at St. Olaf's, where I was ministering, preaching a message, and then all
of a sudden, that weighty presence of God just came all over me. And I had people come forward,
and I mean, it was so heavy. I couldn't stop crying and weeping and laying hands on people.
I loved it. I mean, really, that kind of presence, you wish you could have it every service.
Because it's not you. You know it's not you. It's God just shows up in a manifested form. It's a
glory form. And so that's the kind of thing that God wants to do now. You can sense the weight.
Years ago, my husband and I, this is before we actually started. Maybe it was before we started
the church here. But he took me to a service at the Assemblies of God in Batavia, which at that
time was in a different location. It was the older church, an older pastor. And I had only been
exposed to Word of Faith churches. And so, and I'm not going to get into a big historical lesson here.
That Pastor Jeff can do someday. So please don't try to, because I don't have time for it. But
I know that there are two streams that came out of Azusa Street. And the Assemblies of God,
Brother Hagin was with, Lester Sumrall was with, every great preacher came out of the Assemblies.
And at some point, they started going a different direction with the Word of Faith movement.
Brother Hagin eventually broke off from that because he was doing separate meetings.
And so, when you get into this stream, or I guess you could call it a stream or a creek of Word of
Faith, you don't usually in those services sense a strong weighty presence of the Holy Spirit like
you do in your old time Assembly of God services. But I didn't know that. All I knew was what I was
saved in, which was Word of Faith, like this. So we go to this Assembly of God service. And I mean,
throughout the whole service, I could feel a strong, tangible, weighty presence of the Holy
Spirit. I mean, it just brought me to tears. And when we left, I said to my husband, I don't
remember ever sensing anything quite like this in our Word of Faith churches. And that's when he
explained to me the different streams. You know, the stream of the Holy Spirit, that thing stems
from Azusa Street. And so, and I can't explain to you why it's that way. It just is. You know,
if you've been around long enough, you start to notice certain things. Now, it doesn't mean God
doesn't have that for us. I believe he wants us to have more of that. But that presence is something
that once you've gotten a hold of it or been in it, oh my goodness. Was it Lester Sumrall or Dr.
Dufresne that said, I'd rather have five minutes in the anointing than a hundred years or a lifetime
without it? I mean, it's just, it's indescribable. It's so wonderful. And it's just a portion of
God's presence. He is weighty. That's the point I'm trying to make. There's a weightiness to
his presence. Another definition for that Hebrew word glory is splendor or glory or honor.
So he was revealing his splendor, his weightiness. I mean, God is weighty with everything that's good.
He doesn't have anything bad to give us. So if you get into the glory of God,
all that's going to come out of it is good. Good, good, good, good, good, good.
And I like that, the fact that the mercy of God is included in all of that because
mercy represents to me forgiveness and healing. You know, we believe for healing mercies.
We need the mercy of God in our lives. True. Now let's go to Exodus chapter 40.
And verse 34, here's another characteristic of the glory of God. It says, then the cloud
covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting because the cloud rested above it,
and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. So we see here and other places in the scripture
where the priest couldn't enter the temple or the tabernacle when the glory was in manifestation.
There was no way you could move. I mean, the glory would often cause him to just fall out
and nobody could move. You remember the story of Brother Hagin when the time, you know,
he had three experiences going to hell, but then he got born again the third time on the way up.
And then he had another experience where his spirit left his body, and this time he went up
toward heaven. And he tells the story, and he said, in my mind, I thought it just lasted a few
seconds. But the Lord said to him, you have to go back. The work that I have for you to do on
the earth is not done yet. Now think about it. I was thinking about this in light of how he,
we said this last week, as a teenage boy, he had no human to help him,
but he sure had the help of the Lord, didn't he? And when you are expecting to die, because up
until that point, he pretty much was, but he just didn't care because he knew he was going to heaven.
Now you get a word from God saying, you're not done with the work I have for you on earth. So
right there was a word, and we talked about desire and plan. You got to have a plan. That's where
faith comes in. And so that faith that you're not going anywhere yet, because he said to his mom
when he came back into his body, Mama, I'm not going to die now. He knew he wasn't going to die
because now he knows there's a plan. So the thing is, he never shared that story for over 20 years
with anybody because he considered it so sacred. But when he finally shared it one time and his
mother happened to hear it on the radio, she said, son, let me tell you what happened that day. And
she told her side of the story. And she said, your younger brother came running out saying,
Mama, Mama, Ken's a dying. And so she went to run into the room and she said, I got to the door and
went to run in and I just bounced right out. I mean, imagine the doors open, went to go through
over the threshold and just bounced right back and hit the floor. And she said, I tried again and I
couldn't get in and I bounced back. So I just sat there. And then next thing, Granny, his grandmother
tried to go in and she bounced off. She's a lot more feisty, I guess, than the mom because then
she backed up and she made a bold run for that door and she went flying and bounced off of it
as well. She got up and went back even further and ran and she just could not get past the glory.
She fell out. She said, well, we might as well just sit here. And then she said to her daughter,
well, it looks to me like there's a cloud in the room. I can't see Ken. I can't see the furniture.
And so they just sat there and waited. And his mother told him it was about 10 minutes
before the glory cloud was gone and they could actually see into the room and enter into that
room. Well, can you imagine? There is a modern day example of the glory being a manifestation
and nobody's getting in, into that place where the glory is. Now, if you're already in a place
where the glory comes in, I personally, I've never seen a glory cloud, but I've been in services
where Dr. Dufresne said, oh, here comes the glory. It's moving in like waves or Kenneth Hagan would
say, here comes the glory. And it would start at the back and work its way forward. And as it would
hover over the people, sometimes they would fall out of their chairs. Sometimes they would just be
instantly healed, whatever the need was at the time. And I don't know if that's those kinds of
things are reserved for the prophet's office. All I know is I've been in services where the glory
was there. I've just never seen it myself. Now, maybe some of you have, and that's wonderful if
you have, but whether you see it or not, if it's there, it's a manifestation and it's for us. And
so some of us, we just receive things by faith, not by sight. So this was a situation in the Old
Testament, but we have these New Testament or modern day examples. And, you know, we've read
about them from other creatures as well. Now let's go to 2 Chronicles chapter 5.
2 Chronicles chapter 5, we're going to get to a point here where we're going to come full circle
back to what we read in Ephesians 3. In 2 Chronicles 5 and verse 13,
it says, Indeed, it came to pass when the trumpeters and singers were as one. Now the
previous verse, it tells us there's 120. No coincidence that there's 120 present on the day
of Pentecost because God is just so awesome. He gives us all these types and shadows. So when the
trumpeters and singers were as one to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the
Lord, say one sound. The trumpeters and singers were as one, say as one. And it was one sound
in praising and thanking the Lord. So that's what you call unity. And when they lifted up their voice
with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music and praised the Lord saying, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever. Do you know, we're working on a song. Brother Isaac and I started
writing it, I don't know how many years ago it was. Gosh, 2005. See, he remembers all of that stuff.
And I got the chorus, but he has to write the rest of it.
For the Lord is good and his mercy endures forever. You could just sing that over and over
and over. And you know what? It says that the house, the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud
so that the priest could not continue ministering because of the cloud for the glory of the Lord
filled the house of God. How? You know, let me just say this. You cannot make the glory of God
manifest. You can't make God do anything. But our job is to create an environment or an atmosphere
where it can happen as he wills. And so we're not to just praise and worship God just so we can get
a glimpse of the glory. I mean, we're to praise him for who he is, because we love him, because
he's worthy to be praised. And I'll tell you, it'll just take you into a place that you can't be in
if you don't worship him. That nobody who's unsaved will be in. And most Christians don't
get into, but it's where God wants us to be. And if we would just take time to worship God,
we are going to create an atmosphere for him to manifest himself. There is a glory world, guys.
You know, in heaven the glory is always present. But sometimes we get some of that glory here
on earth. And like I said, when it is, it's a supernatural manifestation as the spirit wills,
not as man wills. So we're not supposed to seek manifestations. Always remember that.
Just like we don't seek visions, we don't seek to talk to spirits. You don't seek to have this
happen, but you just cooperate with the Holy Spirit and learn to flow with him. Amen. So we
see here in the Old Testament that the glory would fill the house or the temple. Now in the New
Testament, what is the temple? The church is the temple of the Holy Spirit. And in 1 Corinthians
chapter 3, verse 16, it says, do you not know that you are the temple of God?
Apparently they didn't. He's asking, and that the spirit of God dwells in you.
One of my favorite scriptures is this, the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead
dwells in me and he quickens my mortal body with his life, his health, his strength, his goodness.
That's power. So we are the temple, but not just individually, but collectively.
Now this is important guys, because there is no one individual for the most part,
that's just going to show up and harness the glory of God. But we talk about the corporate
anointing, how it's the most powerful. It's far greater than anything you can have alone
in your home or your car or wherever. That's why the church has to come together and meet,
because corporately we are also the temple of the Holy Spirit. And so corporately,
the degree that a local church gets into unity in the spirit is the same degree to which the
glory of God can manifest. And this is important for us to know this, because if we come to church
and we don't connect or hook in, we are part of the problem, why we're not having the glory of
God or the anointing and manifestation. But everybody coming together open and worshiping
and spirit to spirit and worshiping in spirit and in truth and open to receive what God has
that service and not just being like a bump on the law, well I paid my dues, I showed up.
No, to the degree that we all get in unity and worship together in one accord,
that determines the outcome. Now let's go to Acts chapter 2, New Testament.
Thank you, Jesus. It's so important that we're coming into these days, guys. We're coming into
this hour. Acts chapter 2 and verse 1, when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all
with one accord in one place. So this is the New Testament counterpart to what we just read
in 2 Chronicles. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. You know, sometimes the glory manifests
as a wind. Brother Hagin told a story of how one time he was in a service and they were
worshiping God and all of a sudden this wind, strong sound of a wind came through. They couldn't
actually feel the wind, but they could hear the strong sound of a wind come through. So it's not
just Dr. Dufresne who had that happen. And he said, as soon as that thing went through, every person
in the place was instantly healed. So there's the wind of the Spirit. And it filled the whole house
where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues as a fire. So fire is another
manifestation of glory. And sat upon each one of them, and they were all filled with the Holy
Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. You know, speaking
with other tongues is a manifestation of the Spirit. Just as much as the wind and the fire
is a manifestation, so are tongues. So every time you speak in other tongues, you're allowing the
Holy Spirit to manifest. And this is why Brother Hagin always taught tongues is the door to the
supernatural. If you're connecting your tongue with the supernatural and it leads into deeper things.
There are other areas which we're not going to get into tonight. The tongues is just the doorway.
But I mean, there are psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. And there are manifestations of the Spirit
that come after that. The Spirit of seeing and knowing, the power gifts. Hallelujah.
So how many would say that on the day of Pentecost, they had a grand manifestation of the glory of God?
And you know, there's just something about being in unity when we're singing, when we're praying,
when we're praising, when we're worshiping, that brings God on the scene. But if we're just
half-hearted or half-awake, or we got other things going on in our mind when we're worshiping, which
you know, you have to learn how to quiet your mind, then it can hinder what God wants to do.
But I love it again, for the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever. Can you imagine just
getting into that flow, for the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever. I'll tell you,
there's just something about God's character. There's something about God's nature that when
you praise and worship Him from your spirit and you magnify Him, He will manifest Himself.
He loves to manifest Himself, amen, when He's magnified and worshiped.
Now let's go to Acts chapter 4 and verse 24.
Acts chapter 4 and verse 24. Now of course, the apostles Peter and John were arrested and then
they were let go. And it said, so when they heard that, they raised their voice to God
with one accord, because they came back to the other Christians and told them what had happened,
gave the report. So all of the believers that heard that raised their voice to God with one
accord. There we go again with one accord, and said, Lord, you are God who made heaven and earth
and the sea and all that is in them. Notice when they heard the report, because they were arrested
and then they were sternly threatened. We've been threatened before. We've had the health
department called on us. That's the worst threat we've ever had. Well, somebody could. Well,
that's true. Someone threatened to kill Liz years ago. But here's the point. That's because somebody
was just demon possessed. But these people, for the sake of the gospel, were doing what the Lord
told them to do. And they were threatened. And so they come back and they give this report. And
instead of them, remember what happened with the children of Israel when they left Egypt?
Every time something didn't go their way, they started to whine and complain, whine and complain,
but not these saints. No, what they do is they lift their voice in one accord,
and they start talking about how great God is. This is how you win battles, folks. Lord,
you're God. You're bigger. You make heaven and earth and the sea and all that is in them. Who
are these piddly people trying to threaten the God who created the heavens and the earth?
Who by the mouth of your servant David have said, why did the nation's rage and the people plot vain
things? The kings of the earth took their stand and the rulers were gathered together against the
Lord and against his price. For truly against your holy servant, Jesus, whom you anointed,
both Herod and Pontius Pilate with the Gentiles and the people of Israel were gathered together.
Listen, all these people gathered together thinking that they were right, that it was to do
whatever your hand and your purpose determined before to be done. Now, Lord, now they get to
this part, the petition part. Now, Lord, look on their threats and grant to your servants
that with all boldness. Notice they didn't pray here. Lord, grant unto your servants great
protection, supernatural protection. There's not one prayer there for supernatural protection.
No, they said, grant us that with all boldness, we may speak your word by stretching out your hand
to heal and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy servant, Jesus.
What a prayer. This is a prayer we should be praying regularly. And when they had prayed,
remember they're praying in one accord. When they prayed, the place where they were assembled
together was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the word of God
with boldness. So here's a New Testament example where the glory of God is being poured out on them.
I mean, a shaking is the glory and manifestation. Listen, God doesn't want us to forget about the
wind or the cloud or the glory or these manifestations that we've read about in the
book of Acts. These are manifestations of the Holy Spirit that he wants to do again
and in greater measure. And of course, we want him to do them again. All right, let's read another
scripture in 2 Corinthians chapter 3. Are you awake? Okay, 2 Corinthians chapter 3
and verse 7. Now this is talking about the Old Testament ministry that Moses had, but it's a good
comparison. It says, but if the ministry of death written and engraved on stones was glorious
so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses
because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away?
See, Moses could go into the presence of God and his face would shine with the glory, but it would
fade because he didn't have the Holy Spirit in him. See, our glory doesn't have to fade.
How will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation
had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made
glorious had no glory in this respect because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing
was glorious, what remains is much more glorious. Hallelujah. It's much more glorious, say much more.
And of course it talks about how Moses put the veil over his face because the children of Israel
could not look at him when he first came out. But the real reason he put the veil over was because
he didn't want them to see when it faded. He had a tough enough time with them already.
You know, years ago when we were in revival, and it was a real revival, when it started to wane
and it wasn't as strong anymore, we had a lot, quite a few people surprisingly, that thought
something must be wrong with us because it wasn't continuing open-ended day after day,
week after week, year after year. And you know, when it comes to revivals, I've heard Brother
Hagen teach this, no healthy church can live in revival continually. There's seasons, seasons.
And so they made the same mistake that these children of Israel did,
confusing the waning of a move with, oh, you must be doing something wrong.
Moses didn't do something wrong. You know, he just couldn't, he didn't have the Holy Spirit in him.
Okay. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
But we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, this is talking
about in the Word, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the
Spirit of the Lord. So we are definitely to go from faith to faith and glory to glory.
All right, now let's go to Philippians chapter 4.
And this is something that I was thinking about today in relation to Ephesians. We opened up with
Ephesians 3. We talked about it last week, how God wants to do super abundantly, but He can't
work beyond what we can think, can't work beyond what we can dream. But in Philippians 4, verse 19,
it says, my God shall supply all your need. Now we know this chapter is in context of giving
and generosity, but you know, He'll supply all your need, even if it's not financial.
And here's what it says. It's according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
A lot of times we emphasize that God's going to supply your every need, but here's something
I want to look at tonight. That word riches in the Greek literally means wealth, money,
possessions, abundance. My God shall supply all your need according to His wealth,
according to His possessions, according to His abundance, according to His richness,
according to His valuable bestowment. That's all in that definition.
But now look at this. It's according to His wealth, but it's in glory, in glory, in glory.
Needs can be met so much more quickly in the glory. In the glory is where the superabundance is.
Now in the New Testament, the definition for glory is a little bit different than the Old Testament.
In the Old Testament, it's more about the weightiness of God or the splendor of God.
In the New Testament, this word glory actually means dignity, glory, honor, praise, and worship.
Praise and worship. Isn't it interesting that praise and worship is another way to translate
glory? So if we don't take time to praise and worship God, we won't have this glory,
and you won't be able to enjoy these riches in the glory. That's what's that, guys. The needs
are met in the glory and the praise and the worship. For the Lord is good, and His mercy
endures forever. I'm trying to pull this together, this correlation together. For the Lord is good,
and His mercy endures forever. It's good. We have to have a vision. We have to have a desire.
The things that I preached last week are very vital. We have to have a vision for what we want.
We need to say it. We need to put it in our mouths and have our saying list before us and keep it
before us. But then we have to take this a step further. We have to take time every day to praise
and worship God because it's in the glory that these things can be manifested in our lives.
It'll speed up the process for sure. Amen. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Why don't you stand up?
Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father. Let's just lift our hands and worship Him. Lord,
we worship you. We thank you tonight for your glory. Lord, you are good, and your mercy endures
forever. That means not just today, not just tomorrow, but for the rest of our eternity.
We thank you, Lord, for your goodness. We thank you for your mercy. We lift up our voices to you
in one accord tonight. We say that you are God. You are the creator of heaven and earth.
You are greater than any circumstance we face. You are the God of all glory, the God of might,
the God of wisdom, the God of answers. You are the God of healing and health.
We thank you tonight for your virtues, your characteristics, for your many facets, O God.
We worship you. We worship you as Savior tonight. We worship you as healer. We worship you
as provider. We worship you as a soon-coming King. We thank you, Lord, for your goodness and your
mercy in our lives. We thank you, Lord, that you're so quick to forgive and to forget our past,
Lord. You wash it in the blood of Jesus, never to be remembered again. We thank you, Lord,
for your goodness. We thank you for your mercy, O God. We thank you, God. You are good, good, good.
Lord, we are your temple. We are your building. We are your house. We thank you that you fill
the house with the glory of the Lord. We thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. We thank you for
this season that we're living in, that we shall see great manifestations of your glory. We shall
see arms growing out, legs growing out, blind eyes opening. Lord, you want to put on a show
that lasts throughout the ages. We yield ourselves to you, Holy Spirit. We want you to have your way
in this church. We honor you tonight, Lord. We magnify you. We glorify you. We thank you, Lord,
that you're such a merciful healer. You're such a wonderful provider. We worship you, Jesus.
We worship you, Jesus. We worship you, O God. We give you glory and praise and honor. We thank you
for your goodness, Lord. We thank you for the manifestation of your goodness in our lives.
We thank you, Lord, that you supply all of our need according to your riches, your wealth,
your abundance in glory by Christ Jesus. We praise you, Father. You are the manifester.
We thank you, Lord. We worship you, God. We worship you, Father. We thank you that you're
our very own Father. We're your very own children. Lord, you always take good care of us.
We honor you and thank you, Lord. We worship you, O God. We worship you, Jesus.
We thank you, Lord. We praise you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank
you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Hallelujah.
If you don't spend much time worshiping God, then it's harder for you
to put the flesh aside and just really worship Him.
But you need to start doing this in your own private time,
you know, whenever you get the opportunity
and develop yourself in worship.
Father, we thank you.
We thank you, Lord.
We worship you, Jesus.
You know, I'm reminded of the story where Norval Hayes,
his daughter was a teenager,
and she had warts all over her body.
I don't remember how many of them, how many?
42 warts, that's the count of them.
And when you're a teenage girl,
that's not a very fun thing to have.
And he did everything, he had them burned off,
they'd come back, he'd try every kind of praying.
And finally the Lord rebuked him one day and said,
you don't worship me enough.
And so he started walking through the house
worshiping the Lord.
Just day after day after day, I worship you, Lord,
I praise you, Lord.
And he said, one day he was walking through the house
and he just got caught up in the spirit
and the glory of God, worshiping God.
Next thing you know, he hears his daughter
screaming from the bedroom.
Ah!
Daddy, daddy, they're gone, they're gone.
Every one of those ugly things completely vanished.
But it happened through worship.
Worship.
Nothing is impossible with God.
We just have to get into his realm.
Thank you, Lord.
We thank you, Lord.
We praise you, Lord.
Thank you, Jesus.
We thank you, Lord, that hard cases are being resolved.
Thank you, Lord.
We worship you.
We worship you, Jesus.
You are good and your mercy endures forever.
Thank you, Lord.
Thank you, Jesus.
We honor you tonight.
We magnify you, Lord.
We worship you, Lord.
Thank you, Jesus.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Praise you, Jesus.
No one is as worthy as you are, Lord,
to receive all the glory in the end.
We thank you, Lord.
We thank you, Lord, Jesus.
We worship you, Jesus.
Worship you, Jesus.
Thank you, Lord.
We worship you.
Blessed be your name.
Blessed be your holy name.
Blessed be your wonderful name.
Thank you, Jesus.
We're here tonight that you would like
ministry for healing.
Then we invite you to come up right now
and let us say the word of God.
I suppose Janet's gonna get a hurtful blessing.
She gets the youth machine.
I said that video to my son recently,
it was his birthday.
You know that old cartoon?
Oh my goodness, 1938.
In fact, you'll look it up,
Youth Machine, 1938, on YouTube.
Hallelujah.
Thank you, Jesus.
In the name of Jesus,
I release the power of God, be healed.
In the name of Jesus,
I release the power of God, be healed.
Thank you, Lord.
In the name of Jesus,
I release the power of God, be healed.
Oh, brother.
In the name of Jesus,
in the name of Jesus,
I never loved you,
I never ever loved you,
so much more so.
Thank you, God.
Hallelujah, Jesus.
Thank you, Lord.
Thank you, God.
Glory to you.
Well, let's spend more time worshiping God
in our private time,
and then when we come together,
it's even starting at a higher level.
And, you know,
enjoy the snow you're always getting.
And Cheryl, you're watching.
Amen.
Praise the Lord.
Hallelujah.
Thank you, Jesus.
We thank you.
We give you glory and praise.
Praise you, Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus.
God is bigger, bigger than anything you face, you know.
Well praise the Lord.
We'll see you Sunday.
Love you all.
God bless you.
Amen.
