In today's video, I start my new series on the channel where I make DIY fish traps out of random items I find. Today I use a traffic cone and catch tons of exotic aquarium fish like pacu, peacock bass, jewel cichlids. And one of the pacu HAD ONE EYE!

This is the first ever traffic cone fish trap. Look at this.
Oh my God. He's missing an eye.
What is up BFB nation? Welcome back to another awesome video guys.
Today is the debut of a new series here on the channel and it's called DIY
fish trap challenge. It's, I just made that name up literally right now.
So that's what it's called. Basically this new series,
we're going to be taking everyday items. It's like this traffic cone.
We're going to be making a fish trap out of this traffic cone that I magically
found here in my yard. I've been,
I've been eyeing it up for like three months, uh,
wondering how I can make a fish trap out of it.
And I think I finally got the idea in my head and we're going to try and do it
today. This is going to be a reoccurring series here on the channel.
We're going to be doing lots of episodes,
making fish traps out of random items I find around my house.
And this is the first one. So basically I have some items over here.
Check it out. Now I got to give it a little warning.
I am not the best handyman. Okay. I don't know. I'm really bad at this, uh,
crafting things, building things.
So I thought it'd be entertaining to do this series because, um,
you guys would probably get a kick out of me trying to,
trying to craft something. And also I might get a little better down the road.
You know, this will, this will make me get better at it.
One thing I do have on my side though is,
is the knowledge of fish traps and how they work.
So I have the vision in my head, uh,
whether or not I can build it and make it happen. That's a,
that's a whole other story.
So we're going to be using this broken cast net. Um, we're going to cut it up.
This is going to go like this. Okay. I'm thinking something like this. Okay.
Easy as that. We have some nails, a hammer.
We're going to nail it into that. So, and then we're going to cut a hole.
That's my vision. So the fish swim in and then they're, they're stuck in there.
Dude, this cone actually has the perfect shape for a fish trap.
I really think this is going to work guys.
We're probably going to go to our Piranha spot, the Paku spot.
We're going to see if we can catch one today, maybe some other cool stuff. Um,
but yeah, let's get started guys. If you're excited for the new series,
go down there, drop a like. All right, here we go. Ready for this?
This is how you make it happen. Where's my hammer? Brady, hand me my hammer.
Hammer. Hammer me. Nails. Nail me.
Here princess. I don't know. Is this even going to, are these even going to work?
Look how rusted that nail is. Oh my God.
We need to nail the net to the cone. Oh, it's working.
Oh my God. Look at me go. All right, that's good.
I say we start with the four corners.
Second nail going in.
Now the third corner.
Ow. We got to start with the four corners. We need a base. Okay.
Yeah, that's how this works. There it is. We have it.
Now we just need to tighten the edges with more nails and then we'll have a nice
fish trap like that. And then all we got to do is cut a little hole.
And there it is. You have a fish trap guys. All right,
so I'm going to get to that. I don't know how many nails is it going to take,
but we'll get back to you guys once all the nails are in the traffic cone.
Last one. That took longer than I thought. Woo. We did it.
Let's check it out. Ready?
We got to cut a little bit to make it all pretty, obviously, but look at this.
Ready? Dude, this is actually going to work. You see that?
Look, we just got to cut a circle there.
We got to cut all the excess and our fish trap is literally done.
That was so easy. Oh my gosh. All right,
we're going to get our scissors and we're gonna start cutting away the cast net
and we'll see you guys once everything's looking pretty beautiful. Okay.
Maybe not beautiful, but it's, it's going to work. This is history guys.
This is the first ever traffic cone fish trap. I looked it up.
No one's done this before. So now we have to,
I don't really know how big I want the hole to be. Maybe like that.
Let's start with that. I kind of want like a decent size hole,
but not too big. Cause I want to be able to catch big fish in here.
Look at this. Oh my, dude, this is beautiful.
I should start selling these, right Bree? Look at that. Oh my. Okay.
It's a little lopsided. Maybe I got to, there we go. That's perfect.
Oh my gosh. This is it. This is the first, dude,
the debut of this new series and we're already making banger fish traps like
this. This is going to catch so many fish. Oh, we got to do something about this.
Okay. I'm thinking when we pick up our fish trap, we, we have a little thing here.
We just like cut one thing and then you dump all the fish into the bucket like
that, you know? Okay guys. So I figured it out.
I tied line around the top with the cast net. So we're good to go.
All holes are sealed and the fish trap is ready.
Now we're going to head to one of my spots. I don't know which one yet. Um,
I kind of want to go to the one where we catch baby Paco's and I feel like this
would be a good trap there.
So I'm probably going to go there later today and test this bad boy out and
yeah, this is sweet.
The first edition of the DIY fish trap series is the traffic cone and I think
it's going to work really well. So let's go test it out.
What was that?
What's up? Wait, no, I don't need to do an intro. I already filmed an intro guys.
We're here at the spot. We got voiceless Brandon behind the camera.
He lost his voice by screaming at a golfer.
I'm sorry about that one. Brandon, look at this fish trap, man.
You see this? That's so sick. Can you believe I made that? No way.
Is this my cast net? No. Yeah, it's yours.
It's an old, it was an old rip cast net, but yeah. You ripped my cast net?
Yeah. Dude.
All right guys, we got tilapia. Dude,
we got a whole flavor chucking in there. Actually, you know what?
There's a fish trap in the car. You want to place a fish trap your own?
Not today. Okay.
Oh yeah. We got two pieces of tilapia in there. That is fricking money yo.
All right. We're at this spot. We've caught Pacu at, uh, Cory catfish.
There's an iguana pooping in the water. All right, dude, he keeps doing it. Hey,
better stop it. Oh my God. The turtle's eating it. That's disgusting.
You guys are gross. All right, we're getting away from here.
Let's move down a little bit. We've caught, Brandon,
what have we caught here? Pacu, lots of Pacu. Big and small. Cory catfish.
I mean, there's a lot of peacock bass here. There's Oscars. Who knows?
You know, it's one of those spots.
Anything could be in here and it wouldn't surprise me.
There's probably iridescent sharks in here.
Dude, it's like Jurassic Park over here. Look at all these iguanas. Oh yeah.
The water's pumping. This is the spot, dude. Yo, it's summertime too.
So there's probably baby peacocks everywhere.
We've caught a lot of baby fish. There's probably baby Oscars, baby peacocks,
baby Pacu. I'm thinking right here.
You know one thing about this traffic cone, they attract you or something.
They, they, I don't know. They're big and bright and orange.
So I feel like the fish are going to see this thing and be like, what is that?
Oh my God. This thing's quick, dude. It's heavy. Bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo.
All right guys, look at that. Get a gander at it. Oh bro,
you almost died up there. What? That tree is trying to fall down.
That whole branch. The tree's trying to fall down. Look at that branch.
You see that branch? Yeah, no, it's about to fall. I think we should make it fall.
Nah, I ain't going anywhere. All right, you guys.
So we got our traffic cone and the water. Get a good look at that.
This is perfect because the water's flowing this way.
So all that scent, dude, the fish are going to smell it.
They're going to go crazy for it. I'm a little disappointed.
You didn't go place that one fish trap. We could have done a, uh, uh,
which is better DIY or, or store-bought.
Hopefully my voice will be back by the end of this video. Dude,
how are you going to fake it? How do you lose your voice from screaming one time?
Look at that peacock down there. No way. There's like six. Holy crap.
Can you see him on the camera? Yo, I bet you,
those little peacocks had babies and those babies are going to swim into our
fish trap. Brandon, Brandon. I see little fish. That's what we're after.
Look, see him down there. Those could be anything. Those are going to be pocket.
They kind of look like pocket. Don't they? Hold up, Brandon. Yo,
while we wait for the fish trap, I'm going to throw the cast.
I'm going to do it.
I'm the cast net God and there's literally no one better than me in the whole
world. This is so funny. Cause Brandon cannot talk and rebuttal.
So I'm free to say whatever I want. I'm a litter dude.
I've caught so many fish in the cast net.
That's a, uh, that's a pocket right there. No, that's a, uh, that's a Grammy.
That's a kissing Grammy guys. I told Brandon, I wouldn't tell you guys,
but I caught Brandon,
the cast net God watching the cast net tutorial the other day.
Fish, lots of fishing, exotic property. I don't know what that says.
Nope.
Dude, there's no fish in here like that. And then maybe a little lower. Yeah.
Right now. Like double Hornet hold. One, two.
And then I don't know. Double horn. I only single horn. Dude, I give up.
We're done. Oh my God. I lied. Look at this.
Get that.
We got to get a pond or a tank ready for baby peacocks because now's the time
when we catch them.
But I don't really have anywhere where we can put them right now.
Let's get that beautiful little Joel. Should we keep this one?
There's a Karen coming over. Where? There's a Karen where?
By our fish trap. The dog's there. No, she's going to remove the,
she's going to remove the traffic cone thing in his trash. All right,
we're going to throw this back. We can catch much prettier ones. We got a wild,
we've got a wild dog looking for a fish trap. Guys. We almost just got busted.
The plan was almost fooled by a wild Karen and her dog. Dude, it hurts so bad.
This is what he cut his foot open on. I don't know if you guys can see that.
It's pretty sure. I can't do it. I can't do it.
We're going to take the trap now guys. I'm done. I'm over it. Oh my God.
Dude, it's like this big. Like next to the trap.
Can you see him? Oh yeah. Dude, there's fish in the trap. There's a play go.
It's a freaking play go. Look the fricking child play go.
There's a toddler play go in there. Right there.
Look at that little play go. Dude, we got jewels. They go to, I think DIY baby.
I made that fish trap is a banger.
That would be constructed by some like professional, you know,
the mass peacock right behind you. Oh my God. It's big.
That's a six, seven pound peacock. Oh, I hope we got his baby.
I think you see him on camera going under the way. Oh my God. He's so big.
That's the biggest peacock I've ever seen here. Oh,
we got to come and catch him dude. For the pond. Imagine.
Oh, I spooked all the fish to the back. Look at this. Look at him. Oh my God.
It actually worked. Ready?
And now hopefully this works and the line doesn't break or else all the fish are
going out. I'll just hold it. Oh my God.
Get him over here. Oh Jesus. Dude, the fish are, oh my God. Oh the top. Oh God.
Oh God. Oh, we got so many. I got to get them in the bucket. Oh God.
Oh my gosh. Look at this little bluegill. We're going to, ow. Oh my God.
There's this piece of shell stuck in my foot. Look at all these little fish.
Trying guys hurry. I'm hurrying. Look at all of them.
Do we actually got a lot of fish you see in there? Oh my. I see that. Yeah.
How do I do this? Do I just dump? I can't.
I need a better mechanism for getting the fish out. Look. Oh my God.
Look at all the fish. Oh, here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go.
Get the peacock. Oh my God. We caught a bass. Hello bass. Little peacock.
Two peacocks. Look at that. This is so cool.
Little babies. How cute they are.
Where's the Paco at? Dude, Paco. As I said it, come here. Look at this.
Oh, it's a baby. Oh, there's another one. Look, look, look. Oh my God.
They get trapped in there. Ow. This trap freaking sucks. Look at this.
Oh my God. He's missing an eye. What? Brandon.
Brandon. This. Oh my God. That fish is freaking special. He's missing an eye.
What? Okay. We got more. I I'm trying my fastest guys. I'm sorry.
Hold on. Let me just try to get everything.
We just caught a pocket with one eye.
That's actually the coolest thing I've ever seen. Oh, he is special. He is.
There's another one. Look at that. Are those pocket?
Wait, it looked like Parker. They don't know.
The ones we caught didn't have those like speckles on them.
There's all, it could be the black ones.
The ones we caught before were red bellies, right? I think so.
These might be black pocket. Oh my God.
The play go. Come here. Look at this. Ready? Get a shot. Look at the play go.
You see that? Yeah. How do I get him out? There he goes.
There we go. Look how cute he is. Dude, he's so adorable. See that?
I love catching baby play goes. It's trapped. Listen, it worked, but the,
there's one design flaw and that's getting a fish out.
I need a better mechanism. Nice Mayan cichlid for the Peacock.
Oh, come on. Smoke it. Oh my God. There's like five.
There he is right here. He's about to smoke it. Oh my God. Stop it.
Throw it. Stop it. Eat it. Oh my God. He has to be ours.
Throw mine. Throw mine. We have no rod. Yeah. Go, go quick.
Straight. Smoke them. Yes.
This has to be our pet Peacock. We're already feeding them.
We got to come back and try to catch them. We don't have a rod. Oh my God.
Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Look at that. Oh.
Oh, that was a big one. Just call me. Dude, that's the big boy. Oh my God.
That thing's like six, seven pounds. That's bigger. That's I'm not even kidding.
I might say it, dude. That's like as big as, as Bain right there.
Drop a like if you want us to come back and catch one of these Peacocks.
They are flared right now, dude. I don't know what's going on with them.
Let's get one close look at these Paco. We caught two of them today.
At least I think they're Paco.
They look a little different from the ones we've caught here before.
Also, one has one freaking eye, dude. That's one eye.
Willy is the coolest fish I've ever seen. Like that makes him special.
A lot of you would be like, oh man, my Paco has one eye. He's disabled.
No, he's special. I can't even find the Paco. Oh, here we go. Here we go.
Here we go. Look at this. Is this one eye Willy? No, that's not.
That's two eye Willy. Look how pretty that is. So you guys,
I'm a little confused though. Cause this,
I don't know if this is a Paco or not. It kind of looks like a, uh,
I don't even know, dude. I'm just like a red belly one. It has the red,
the red fin, but I don't think that's a red belly. I can't find them.
Oh, here he is. Oh my God, dude. That is insane. That's a zombie fish.
Look at that, bro. That is a zombie fish. If I've ever seen it.
Holy crap, man. That is really cool.
Yo, you think something must've eaten his eye, right?
Something had to have eaten his eye. Yo, dude, that's actually like really cool.
Let's throw him back into the Koi pond. Like we did with the red bellies.
Those red bellies are like the size of my head.
Now we're going to throw one eye Willy in there,
two eye Willy in there and they're going to get massive. Paco army, dude.
We're adding to the Paco army,
even though I already have like 10 and I kind of don't need any more.
You can't pass this up coming here and catching wild Paco. I mean,
you can't say no to keeping them. Let's release his bass. See ya bud.
All right. There's a little peacock. We're going to release him. All right.
And the rest we're going to keep. Oh, there he goes.
And the rest we're going to keep either as pets or to feed Bane and all the
other fish. We'll see you guys back at my house. Oh, what's up BFB nation.
I am super stoked for this new series. We're off.
Starting it off with a fricking banger, dude.
We caught so many fish in this traffic cone fish trap.
We might bust this bad boy out too. We might do like a part two.
We're going to keep doing different items to create fish traps,
but if one works really good or you guys really like it,
we'll do a little part two. So we're going to keep this guy on deck.
If you want to see a part two, let me know. We got some Bane food. We got some,
some, some big bass food and we have our two Paco one with one eye,
which is super sick. I don't think I've ever caught a fish with one eye.
Have we? He's so small.
Yeah. Also, you guys got to let us know what kind of,
those are definitely Paco,
but it's like they look a lot different from the other ones we've caught there.
Do they look, no, those are not the same, right?
They look way different. A hundred percent. They are not the same.
I mean, they're, they look like Paco though. They're a hundred percent Paco.
There you go. Big guy. Come on. Be free. There he goes.
Yo banner thought about it. You saw that? All right,
let's get the other one in here. We got one eye Willie. That was two eye Willie.
Now we got one eye Willie. When I first saw him, dude, I was like,
what on earth is that?
I thought it was like a dead Paco that fricking drifted into the trap.
Look at that. They can't see right now. No, he literally cannot see us.
That is cr... Wait, I just realized that he cannot see us right now.
That is so freaky. Well, I mean he's living, he's living.
All right. There, there, there they are down there. All right. They're good.
They're chilling. No one's eating them. That's a good sign. All right guys.
So we got one eye Willie in there. We got two eye Willie.
There is one of them actually. One just swam over. Dude, that is so sick. Hey,
I mean he's got one eye, but he's functioning. I mean,
he swam into our fish trap, so I don't know if that makes him smart or dumb,
but Hey, he's functioning. We're going to go to the pool pond.
We're going to feed all the fish, the rest of the tilapia. And yeah, guys,
it's going to be crazy. Here you go, Bane. Wayne, Wayne, you want one? Oh my God.
Wayne just ate a fish. Oh, they're fricking tag team that fish.
Oh, oh my God, dude. Chill.
Back up. Oh my God. Andy, look how big and feisty Andy's getting. All right.
Yo, I forgot we caught a placo as well. We're going to throw those in the cichlid pond.
Well, you guys can't see in the water. I think you can maybe see them. Oh yeah,
you can see them. Um, it's like really late in the day, so it's shady.
But also guys, important update. I bought like one of those big canopy shades.
You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. Like the sun shades.
We're going to hang it from the trees.
It's like a big dark green thing and it's going to cover the pond.
So there's no glare at all. It's going to be so sick guys. It just arrived today.
So, um, in future videos, you should be able to see into the pond really good.
It's going to be so sick. There's going to be absolutely no glare.
That'll do it for today's video. If you did enjoy, go down there, hit the like button.
Also comment any suggestions on what you have for the next DIY fish trap video. I mean,
I just go around my house and my garage and I'm like, okay,
what could I make a fish trap out of? If you guys have any ideas, let me know. But yeah,
leave a like if you did enjoy subscribe every hour on the rail. See you in the next one.
Peace out.
