APPLE SWIRL CAKE RECIPE (Yeast Cake)

Ingredients:

Filling:
6-8 apples
cinnamon
2 handfuls of raisins

For the dough:
• 600 g of plain flour
• 30 g of fresh yeast
• 250 ml of milk (I use unsweetened soy milk)
• 125 g butter (I use lactose-free butter or lactose-free margarine)
• 5 tablespoons of sugar
• pinch of salt
• 3 eggs

1. Starter - Put the crashed yeast in a cup and pour 50 ml of warm milk. Add a teaspoon of sugar, 3 tablespoons of wheat flour, and mix. Set aside for about 10 minutes to rise.
2. Heat the rest of the milk and butter (or margarine) until the butter melts.
3. Put flour, salt, and sugar into a bowl and mix.
4. Pour in the starter and mix.
5. Add eggs and mix.
6. Pour in the milk and butter. Stir with a spatula until the dough stops sticking to it. If the dough is still sticky, add some flour.
7. Knead for 10-15 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Roll out the dough into a cake around 1cm thick.
8. Put on it peeled and chopped apples, sprinkle with cinnamon and raisins.
9. Roll the dough gently into a roll. To prevent the cake from spreading apart while baking, you can wrap it in baking paper.
10. Bake for 36-40 minutes in a preheated oven to 180 degrees.

OAT BREAKFAST DESSERT RECIPE

Ingredients:

2 cups of oats (I used instant oats)
2 cups of milk of your choice (I used unsweetened soy milk)
2 teaspoons of chia seeds
2 peeled and smashed bananas
Optionally: 2 teaspoons of cocoa

1. Mix all well and spread between 2-3 mugs/jars.
2. Put it in the fridge to thicken the dessert. If you use traditional oatmeal, it is best to make this dessert the night before.
3. If you don't fill the jar or cup completely, you can top it up with yogurt before serving. Using a jar means that you just need to close the jar and you can take the dessert with you to work.

HEARTWARMING AUTUMN ZUCCHINI ORZO RECIPE

Ingredients:

2 cups of orzo (before cooking)
1 onion
2 zucchinis
1 can of chopped tomatoes
1 can of chickpeas

1. Cook the orzo according to the instructions on the package.

2. Peel and cut the onion into pieces. Put it in a pot and pour in a small amount of water, just enough to cover the onion. Cook the onion over low heat until it softens.

3. Cut the zucchini into pieces and add it to the soft onion.

4. Add canned tomatoes, cover the pot, and cook until the zucchini is soft.

5. Season the dish to your taste (I use vegetable stock cubes), add canned chickpeas and cooked orzo. Mix and cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
