Do you find it hard to choose a niche
and you think you have nothing
interesting to talk about on YouTube? Do
you feel like your life is too boring
for content creation? Well, what if I
told you that boring is exactly what you
need to succeed while everyone else is
trying to be the next viral sensation?
There's a bunch of boring niches out
there that are making thousands of
dollars a month. And these are niches
that you can take inspiration from. From
topics that might be boring to you but
entertaining for your grandpa, all the
way to niches that will literally put
you to sleep. These creators prove that
you don't need an exciting life to build
a successful channel. You just need to
share what you already know. And some of
these niches don't even require you to
show your face. Well, today's your lucky
day because I'm going to be showing you
seven of the most boring YouTube niches
that are making tons of money and why
your boring expertise might be your
biggest advantage. So, if you appreciate
me making these types of videos, let me
know by gently tapping that like button
and let's jump into it right now. All
right, guys. The first niche is going to
be bedtime stories for adults. And I
know it sounds weird, but hear me out.
This channel is called Bedtime History.
They have 7,000 subscribers and they
make between $1,600 and $4,500 a month.
This is just a conservative estimate
from the software called View Stats. But
they're likely making a lot more than
that considering their videos are really
long. In fact, their most popular videos
an hour and 29 minutes. And of course,
longer videos have more opportunities to
show ads. Oh, and that most popular
video made at least $2,000. Just one
single video, $2,000. Now, here's what
they do. They take stories from history,
like famous battles, ancient
civilizations, historical figures, etc.,
and they use AI voiceover to narrate the
stories. And then they create slideshows
with AI generated pictures. And that's
literally it. No fancy editing, no
expensive equipment, just historical
stories told like bedtime stories for
grown-ups. And think about it, adults
love history, but they're too tired to
read books after work. So, they listen
to these soothing historical stories to
fall asleep. It's genius, even if you
think you don't have time to do YouTube.
And honestly, you can batch create these
in a few hours. AI writes the script, AI
creates the voice, AI makes the images,
and all you got to do is just put it
together and upload it to YouTube. And
if you think they're the only channel
doing this, uh, nope. Actually, there's
another channel called Sleepless
Historian, and they're doing the exact
same thing, but they're making like 10
times more money. Yeah, they literally
started about 5 months ago and they
already have 617,000
subscribers, which is pretty crazy. So,
yeah, I'm not saying that you do this
exact niche. I just want you to use
these as examples of something that you
could do. Now, the last thing I want you
to do is just go and copy these
channels. Don't just copy them. Try to
take inspiration from them, but make
something new. Now, you might be
thinking, "Well, Shane, you know, they
are getting a lot of views, right?
Sleepless Historian is getting millions
of views. I don't think I can do that.
How can I make money?" Well, this next
channel doesn't get that many views, and
they're absolutely crushing it. In fact,
they're making a lot more than the first
two channels that I've shown you. And
the second niche is going to be helping
women get into cyber security careers.
So, meet Nicole. When we first met, she
had 85 subscribers. And she wasn't
making any money. And she was about to
quit on YouTube, but she had knowledge
about cyber security. You see, she was a
woman who got into cyber security, which
is extremely rare. And there's unique
challenges that women face trying to get
into something like cyber security
that's traditionally dominated by men.
So, she had that knowledge about how to
get into cyber security, especially as a
woman, but she was having trouble
turning it into income. And after
working with me, we got her to over
50,000 subscribers and we got her to
making over $85,000
in a month. And how did she do it? Well,
we just helped her make content that
would attract women and people in
general that want to get into cyber
security jobs, right? But women who
wanted to break into tech and cyber
security specifically were her target
audience. Now this is a massively
underserved market and most cyber
security content is made by men for men.
But Nicole saw a gap and she filled it.
And she teaches complex cyber security
concepts in simple terms. Plus, she
shows women exactly how to get certified
and she shows them what the best jobs to
apply for are. So for instance, she
recommends going into what's known as
GRC or governance, risk, and compliance.
And you can see looking at her profile,
she doesn't get that many views. is
usually just a few thousand views per
video, but it doesn't matter because
she's solving a very specific niche
problem and she's getting people an
outcome, right? She's actually helping
them to land a job. So, she's able to
charge high ticket prices and she's able
to monetize much more effectively.
Whereas the channel I showed you before
probably will never be able to sell
anything and they can only make money
from the ads that show on their channel,
right? So, this is two completely
different types of content that you can
make, but both situations work. And
picking the right things was one of the
biggest things that Nicole was
struggling with. And just about
everybody I meet struggles with this as
well. In fact, there have been people
that have spent years picking their
niche. They've literally wasted years
thinking about what niche to go into.
And that's why this Tuesday at 9:00 p.m.
Eastern time, I'm going to be hosting a
free one-time only YouTube workshop. All
right, quick break. This Tuesday, 9:00
p.m. Eastern time, I'm hosting a free
live workshop called The Billiondoll A
Day Industry Suddenly Unlocked by AI. At
this workshop, I'll be giving away my
brand new tool, TitleGen AI, for free.
This is a viral video idea generator
that I've been working on, powered by
GPT, trained on thousands of hours of my
teaching, my philosophy, and coaching
sessions, and ready to go for you. And
I'm giving it away for this one time
only at the workshop. So, make sure you
show up, click the link in the
description or the pin comment below.
And when you're done registering, make
sure to click on add this to your
calendar so it'll show up in your
Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar in
order to get our GPT. Now, you'll also
be able to ask me questions live, so I
look forward to meeting you. See you
Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Now,
back to your regularly scheduled
programming. Oh, and by the way, if
you're thinking, "Well, Shane, you know,
she's selling products and services. I
want to start a Faceless channel, and I
can only sell products and services if I
actually show my face." Well, actually,
no. One of my other clients, Whiz of
Ecom, actually started off and actually
built a sevenfigure business with a
faceless brand. So, you can look back at
his old videos and you'll see they're
all faceless. Now, eventually he did do
a face reveal, but he actually made it
to seven figures before he ever showed
his face. So, you can do this faceless
or you can do it showing your face as
well. The underlying principles are
always exactly the same, and that's
exactly what I'll be teaching in the
workshop. So, check it out down in the
description in the pen comment below.
Now, niche number three is really
anything for seniors, but one example
would be senior health. Now, there's
some very common sense stuff that you
can recommend to seniors that
dramatically boosts their health. For
instance, just going on walks. Like if
you just go on walks every day, you'll
probably add another 5 to 10 years to
your life. And senior content is
actually significantly more valuable
than any other type of content. And
here's why. Advertisers will spend
significantly more money on ads to
target older people. And the main reason
for that is because the majority of
money is held by older people. In fact,
over 80% of the income is held by people
over 50 and above. And not only that,
but older folks tend to be bored and at
home with nothing to do. So, they have a
bunch of free time to consume content,
which in turn you get more AdSense for.
So, here's an example of this channel
called Senior Zone. They have 108,000
subscribers and they made between 1,700
and $4,700 in a month. And their most
popular video made about $5,100. Now,
here's what they do. They make videos
for seniors about healthy living. So,
foods seniors shouldn't eat, best
exercises for people over 60, etc., etc.
And honestly, most of it is kind of just
common sense stuff. But the thing is
there's a lot of really good information
out on the internet in random places,
websites, books, etc., etc., but most
people like to consume information in
video audio format. And so you can
literally just take information that's
readily available out there in books or
on websites, really good information,
and then just turn it into video audio
format. And in this particular case,
this entire channel is made with stock
footage and AI voiceover. And so you can
do this with AI or if you're an older
person watching this. Older people
actually tend to want to watch other
older people as well because they just
tend to relate to them. And so it's
actually significantly easier for you to
grow if you're an older creator. And
that's actually something I'm going to
be going over in my workshop Tuesday
9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Check
it out in the link in the description
below. For instance, one of the clients
I consult with, the Unretired with R.J.
just started about 1 month ago and he
already had a video that blew up. 32,000
views and he's already over 1,000
subscribers 1 month in. So, this is
actually perfect for people who think
I'm too old to do YouTube. Age doesn't
matter in this niche. In many cases,
your audience wants relatability and
wisdom, right? Not youth. And I'm kind
of jumping ahead here because niche
number four is retirement planning. And
that's kind of what R.J. is doing here.
And if you think R.J. is the only person
doing this, actually, there's a channel
called Azul. And his channel is targeted
to people 50 and older. And just from
AdSense alone, he's made between $5,700
and $15,000 in the last 28 days. So that
would be well over $200,000 a year just
from YouTube AdSense alone. And his most
viewed video has 2.49 million views with
an estimated $12,300 in revenue, which I
can almost promise you is probably about
three to four times higher than that
because of the fact that his audience is
older and therefore advertisers are
willing to pay significantly more. And
his videos are dead simple. literally
just walk and talk recording with an
iPhone. No fancy graphics, no editing
tricks, just him talking to a camera.
And he basically just talks about how to
retire early, how I retired at 55,
social security mistakes to avoid and
how much money you need to retire,
right? That's what people want to hear.
Baby boomers are hitting retirement age
and they're panicked about money. They
need guidance and they're willing to pay
for it. And Azul gives free advice on
YouTube then sells premium courses and
coaching. and he probably makes
something like 10 times more from the
premium coaching and courses than he
makes from AdSense. All right, the fifth
niche is airplane model explanations.
And this channel is called Plane
Curious. Very clever name. I like it.
And they got about 3 million views last
month, which is around $5 to $16,000 a
month. And they make videos about
specific plane models, like why the
Boeing 737 Max was grounded, the truth
about the Airbus A380, or what makes the
F-35 so expensive. and they go over
features, problems, history, and it's
all made with stock footage and an AI
voiceover. And although they make about5
to $16,000 a month, their most popular
video made $6,200.
Now, who's watching airplane content?
Aviation enthusiasts, pilots, engineers,
people who work in aerospace or
travelers who want to understand planes
better. It's a passionate niche audience
and they watch everything about planes
and they have money to spend on aviation
products. Flight simulators, pilot
training, aviation books, and the
affiliate opportunities are pretty good.
So, who knew talking about boring
airplane specs could be so profitable?
All right, next niche is going to be
relationship coaching for men. And this
one that I found is actually quite
interesting because it basically focuses
on rescuing men who are on the brink of
divorce. And this is a channel from
Jeffrey Satawan. And I may have gotten
that name wrong. Sorry if you're
watching this, Jeffree. But he basically
helps men rebuild their relationships.
And his content focuses on marriage
repair. How to save your marriage before
it's too late, why your wife doesn't
respect you anymore, and the three
things destroying your marriage. And he
actually showed in a public video that
he made around $140,000 in a month.
That's about $1.2 million a year run
rate. So Jeffree basically just gives
free advice on YouTube and then he sells
a high ticket coaching program that's
designed to rescue a marriage that is on
the brink of divorce. And so he doesn't
need that many clients to hit six figure
months. And most people would find this
topic extremely boring. But he's solving
a very big painful problem for people
and people are more than happy to pay
him to solve that problem. Now you might
be thinking, Shane, there's a lot of
boring niches you've shown me, but I
really don't have anything going for me,
right? I'm not like a relationship
expert. I don't know anything about
planes. I'm not a senior. I'm not a good
storyteller. I can't tell bedtime
stories. And I'm not a cyber security
expert. I don't have anything going for
me. What should I do? Right? Maybe
you're working a dead-end 9 toive job
that you're having trouble escaping from
and you just have nothing going for you.
Well, that's exactly what niche number
seven is. And basically what this is is
retail job vlogging, showing how bad
your job is. And this is a channel
called Ian on YouTube that I'm going to
use as an example for this. And he
literally just films himself at his
retail job, right? His most popular
video is why I am 30 years old working a
dead-end retail job. and it just shows
him talking to the camera and it's all
about his frustrations with retail work.
The rude customers, the low pay, the
dead-end feeling. And there's no fancy
editing, no B-roll, and the thumbnail is
just a screenshot of the video. And he
made between $7,800 and $21,000 in a
month. Plus, he gets donations from
viewers in his comments. And we're not
talking just $5 donations here. We're
talking $500 donations. Like, he's
maxing out on those donation buttons.
And why is that? Well, because people
relate to his struggle and they send him
money to help him quit retail. Now, why
does this work? Well, millions of people
work retail jobs and they feel trapped
and frustrated. Or people that escaped
retail jobs remember how it felt when
they were in a dead-end job. And Ian
gives them a voice. He says what they're
all thinking and his audience sees
themselves in his videos and they watch
because it's therapeutic. Finally,
someone who understands my pain. So,
this is perfect for people who think I
have nothing to talk about. Your boring
job can be content. your daily struggles
are relatable to millions of people out
there. Now, you might be thinking, well,
you know, he's doing that, but I can't
do it cuz he's already doing it. Or, you
know, he's American, so that would only
work in America. Again, with all due
respect, that is a limiting belief. Just
as an example, there's this channel
right here, Salary Man Tokyo, that's
likely making close to six figures a
year just showing their day-to-day life
being a salary man in Tokyo. So, you can
definitely do this, too. You just need
the right guidance and the right niche
that matches you and your skills. And
that's exactly what I'm going to help
you do this Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. Eastern
Standard Time in my free workshop. It's
completely free. Check it out down in
the description in the pin comment
below. And I hope to see you there.
Because all of these examples are
examples of the beauty of what I like to
call the hybrid personal brand. And this
is where you basically combine the
benefits of a personal brand with AI so
that you can make YouTube videos fast,
whereas it used to take you a ton of
time, basically be another full-time job
to make a YouTube channel. But these
seven niches prove something important.
You don't need to be entertaining to
make money on YouTube. You just need to
be helpful. So, pick a boring topic that
you know something about. Use AI to help
you create content. Stay consistent and
the money will follow. And by the way,
if you want help doing that, you can go
ahead and book a clarity call with
myself or my team by clicking the link
down the description and the pin comment
below. And that'll be a one-on-one call
where we figure out where you are right
now, where you want to be. We'll make a
plan to get there, and we'll see if
we're a good fit to work together or
not. So, you can check that out as well.
And also check out this video I did on
how normal people are suddenly exploding
on YouTube by clicking this video right
here.
