First Solo Motocamping Trip to Clear Lake Oregon, Part 1: The Journey, Finding a Site, Camp Setup

My very first solo motocamping adventure took me to Clear Lake, Oregon and the Coldwater Cove campground. I'm a motocamping noob, so for my first trip I packed up all my motocamping gear and headed to beautiful Clear Lake, a place I haven't been since I was a kid. The ride there was beautiful and enjoyable with the exception of one particularly slow driver. My Kawasaki Versys 650 turned out to be a perfect bike for motocamping, handling all my motocamping gear and the drive over the mountain without missing a beat. I set out without reserving a campsite so I wasn't sure if this solo motocamping adventure would be a success. Fortunately, I was able to secure a last minute spot at Coldwater Cove campground on Clear Lake.
