Hello, wie geht's?
In this lesson, we will be learning the names of dairy products and eggs.
Let's first listen to a short dialogue, where we will hear the key vocabulary we will learn
in this lesson.
Isst du Eier?
Ja, ich esse Eier.
Isst du Milchprodukte?
Ich esse Käse und Joghurt, aber ich esse nicht Sahne.
Essen Sie Milchprodukte?
Ich trinke Milch und ich esse Butter.
First, let's learn how to ask someone if they eat or drink something.
Isst du Milchprodukte?
To ask if someone eats or drinks something, you switch around the verb and the pronoun.
So du isst means you eat, but isst du means do you eat.
And Milchprodukte means dairy products.
This combines Milch meaning milk and Produkte meaning products.
This is the plural form of Produkt and the singular form doesn't have the e at the end.
We can also be more formal by using sie and we can change the verb trinken to ask if someone
drinks something.
Here are some example sentences.
Essen Sie Milchprodukte?
Trinkst du Milch?
Trinken Sie Milch?
Okay, so let's now do a speaking practice of these sentences.
Isst du Milchprodukte?
Essen Sie Milchprodukte?
Trinkst du Milch?
Trinken Sie Milch?
Great job, well done!
Let's now learn how to say eggs.
Ein Ei
Die Eier
