Jiminy Fuck
Squirt Soda
Thomas Paragomes
Everest
我會爬上Mt.Everest的高度
Christine,
Bart City, Utah
就像爬Mt.Everest一樣
Green Johnson
和Green Johnson
Park City Mountain Resort
Jupiter Peak
Jupiter Peak
Line Drift
我們要Line Drift
Yeah
Bacon Gouda
點點Bacon Gouda
和Americano
Man, like 22 hours, I think, a little under.
Thank you, for that lady five dollars.
Boom, boom, boom, got this bro.
Yeah, as far as the pain cave goes, it lived up to my expectation.
On my 8th lap, I had little black dots in my vision,
and that made it pretty tough.
I slowed down on the way down a good bit because of that,
and then my bash guard came loose,
so I had resistance when I pedaled.
So I just kind of scooter-kitted my way over to the shop after that lap.
So that was tough because I was beat physically,
and then something happened mechanically.
And I was just pissed.
I think I've got a little eye boner.
All right, so deep in the pain cave, that lap sucked ass.
I'm now at 22.4K, so a couple more laps,
but something just came loose on my shit,
and I've got a ton of resistance when I pedal.
I think it's like bash guard chain guide type stuff,
but not cool.
I'm like rolling back to the shop right now.
My vision was getting all fucked,
getting, I don't know, just like black dots and shit in my field of view.
So I'm going to go take a half-hour nap
and then try and fix this shit
and then get back at it.
The emotional consequences of some physical shortcomings
were hard to deal with.
We're going up for, I think it was like the ninth lap or something,
and I had gone down, slept a little bit,
and then I came back and joined him.
So I just cranked up, pedaled up,
and when I got to him, he was walking.
I was like, oh, shoot, is he good and whatever?
And he's like, yeah, bro, I think I just got to chill.
My knee feels like it's about to blow up if I keep pedaling.
And I was like, damn, bro, that's crazy.
What the heck?
And of course, he's pedaling up a road,
but what he's descending is some pretty gnar stuff.
It's no joke.
So yeah, at that moment, I was like, damn, this is legit.
I mean, we're into some serious territory here
when you're kind of right on the verge of blowing up your knee.
It was dope, like hanging on to those high lines,
being like, dude, this is the last time that you need to go down this
to hold proper form so your wheel doesn't slip.
It was a pretty cool feeling,
and I think that that's a lot of what I was thinking about
on the last few laps was like,
OK, this is the last time I need to ride this section of the road.
This is the last time I need to ride this steep bit
that I hate at this point.
This is the last time this.
And that last descent was sick
because I was like, it's the last time
I need to make it all the way down the hill.
But it's also on, like, our favorites.
The last lap was a bit of a different pain cave than I anticipated.
UDOT closed Garden's Pass on us.
And so as opposed to, like, pedaling the paved road
to a single track to the shoulder up to Juke,
where, like, there's a couple of hike and bike sections,
but you can pedal to the summit.
We had to turn around and hike the ridge up Deer Valley,
which, I mean, I wouldn't say that it was like a bummer per se,
but definitely very different
than how I visualized, like, summiting, if you will,
or topping it off.
And that last hike, I mean, I was there.
Like, I literally just had to walk, like, 700 more feet
or something like that, 800 more feet.
So I can't say that I was defeated,
but I was just like, really?
Like, really, UDOT's going to close the road right now?
When we got onto the service road looking down at the road,
we could have pedaled it right up to the single track we wanted to
and gotten right onto the ridge.
But they said no.
Well, they said UDOT was right down the road.
UDOT ain't nowhere to be seen, player.
The road looked nice and fast, ready to climb.
Yeah, I don't know what they're talking about.
But it'll be open tomorrow, don't worry.
You can always wait another 24 hours.
But I ended up just overshooting the summit,
not actually summiting, but going around it,
doing a couple of hill repeats
and then getting onto the top of the hill.
I mean, at that point, when I was just a couple hundred feet out
after hiking, you know, probably a mile or so,
with my bike on my back on some really steep stuff,
I was like, I'm going to do whatever it takes
to, you know, see that 29.1K pop up.
Yeah.
Johnny, steeper than Clark City 7-Eleven places.
Yeah?
Yeah.
How much do you think you're off by?
28.27.
I bet you I'll be.
I'll be there this time.
Fucking UDOT did us good.
I got to do that again.
What do you got?
28.8.
By the end, I was pretty juiced up for one.
I broke it for that last lap.
So that last lap, we were kind of just on 5.9.
Yeah, yeah.
Let's go.
For real.
Thank you, dawg.
I appreciate it.
That's massive.
Let's go.
What you got there, dude?
A bacon sausage wrap,
a.k.a. an assimilated breakfast burrito.
Let's go.
Thank you, boys.
Now it's time for some re-rides.
You can do whatever on whatever bike you got
if it makes you happy,
and I think that that's what I want to emphasize,
is whenever you find something that stokes you out
and makes you happy on bikes,
chase that.
Let's go.
That was a gnarly one.
Thank you.
What are your thoughts on the Everest?
Famas is a psycho.
That's thought number one.
This whole project and this idea,
when he came up with it,
I think surprised all of us,
just the fact that he was committing to this
and doing this.
But we all knew that he was going to do it
and that he would do it.
And he did.
He did it.
That was a close call.
Cheers.
Cheers, dude.
Cheers.
How are you feeling, dude?
Good.
I think once the Ibuprofen wears off by tomorrow,
I'll be fucking fucked.
Do you think I said that last time?
Yeah.
Can you please get drunker?
So get me in a not-so-stinky shirt.
That was perfect.
There's a lot of confused mice out there,
so you got to be careful.
But essentially what will happen
is you're just cruising, son.
Mock chicken, all right?
And this mouse is just...
But, like, none of this, none of that.
Just straight trying to confuse you.
So you're like,
oh, I'm going to take an outside line.
And then he's like,
and you're like, oh, shit.
And then there's, like, a drop or something.
And the mouse is just...
just straight scrubbing the jump, dude.
Yeah, lots of mice.
And then Cody was kind of way back.
He was like, dude, I don't know what happened.
I don't know what happened.
After waiting for a while,
I was like, I'm just going to go to the shop
and eat breakfast.
This was lap one,
so I hadn't eaten at all.
I legit pulled into the shop at, like, 2.30 a.m.
and just, like, blood coming out
of my fucking top of my nose.
And immediately, just, like, door opens.
Ding-ding.
Brother, I promise it's not as bad as it looks.
And he was just like...
Oh, my God.
I warned him, though.
I was like, don't be surprised.
This looks worse than it is.
And it's just, like, straight off the nose, bro.
Like, dirt everywhere that there isn't blood.
Helmet's dented.
And I was like, yo, what?
What happened?
I saw a wild thrasher.
A wild peak.
Both off the clock.
Freshly off the clock.
Yeah, free-range grass-fed mountain employees, baby.
That's all.
I always get confused with my pants
that they send me.
But this is the below-the-knee relaxed fit.
Yeah.
