Walvis Bay, Namibia, Africa.

Walvis Bay, Namibia, Africa, is all about 4x4 drives in the sand dunes, and the flamboyance of pelicans, or is it flamingoes. Wildlife is limited to geckos, lizards, sidewinder snakes, and wild dogs. There are a few other larger animals, but they are scarce and there is no large game or cats. At sea you might sea dolphins, but it is birds that are in abundance. The flamingos can be seen in many places without a tour. The town has little offer, the people are friendly and they mix without any segregation and it claims to be the safest place in Africa. For a more touristy place you will need to travel 30km north to Swakopmund. However, now the deep port is here in Walvis Bay, ships will visit, and tourism will grow.

By April the winter is setting in and it is cold, especially in the evening.
