A flamboyance of flamingos. The greater flamingo has red eyes, the lesser flamingos have yellow eyes, the young do not colour fully until about two years old. In Namibia, there are many birds. This was shot as the winter begun, so many flamingos had already flown north to breed.
Manfred Mann has a song called Pretty Flamingo, and there is a wine called a Flamboyance of #Flamingos.
