Are you tired of people selling you courses on making money and then you end up losing money because it doesn't work?
Well, congratulations. You have trust issues now.
But that's okay, because I will show you a way to make money online realistically, but not too fast, or the IRS will hunt you down.
They're very good at hunting, by the way. Like wolves, but with calculators.
But first, let's talk about why everyone else is lying to you.
Making $10,000 in 10 days is basically mathematically possible, but so is getting struck by lightning while eating a sandwich.
And most of the people selling these courses make money by selling courses about making money.
It's like a pyramid, but actually it's like an inverted funnel, which is kind of like a pyramid, a pyramid scheme.
Now, most of these gurus probably learned everything they know from a different guru who learned it from another guru,
and eventually you trace it back to some guy in 2003 who sold one e-book.
And it's kind of like the telephone game, but with more questionable business practices.
Now, here's the thing about money. It likes to move slowly, like a very lazy river.
If you try to make it move fast, it gets suspicious and it calls its friend the government.
Now, generally speaking, when it comes to making your first dollar outside of a job,
if you can make even a single dollar in the first month, that's great.
In fact, many businesses out there lose money for years before they're profitable.
However, if you're able to make $500 to $2,000 in your first month, that is off the charts good.
Unreasonable expectations.
Buying a Lamborghini with cryptocurrency that you mined on your mom's laptop.
Although that would be a pretty cool story.
The secret is that making money online is actually just regular business, but on a computer,
which means it follows the same boring rules as regular business, like consistently providing value
and not scamming your customers.
Revolutionary concept. I know.
All right, quick break. This Tuesday at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time,
I'm doing a one-time-only workshop where I talk about a new billion-dollar-a-day industry
that's suddenly unlocked by AI.
And you can check it out down in the description and the pinned comment below.
At this workshop, I'm going to be giving away my Niche Finder GPT.
This is a GPT powered by a piece of software that I've been working on for a long time now,
and it's been trained on thousands of hours of my teaching, coaching sessions, and more,
so you don't have to spend years to pick a profitable niche.
You can do it in a matter of minutes.
Heck, it's even possible to do it in seconds sometimes.
And I'm going to be giving this away for one time only at the workshop.
So make sure you click the link in the description and then show up to the workshop.
And the best way to do that is to make sure you add it to your calendar once you've signed up for it.
So you basically just click add this to your calendar
once you're on the thank you page after you've registered.
And it'll show up as either Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar, whatever calendar you have,
so you can make sure you won't miss the chance to grab the Niche Finder GPT.
And you'll also be able to ask me questions live.
So I look forward to meeting you. Can't wait to see you there.
See you Tuesday 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
I'm going to be showing you this new opportunity.
It's completely free and it's amazing whether you basically want to use it to get a better job,
use it to network, use it to make some passive income,
start a side hustle, make a full-time income, or even start a full-on business.
It works incredibly well with all of those and it's completely free.
And now back to your regularly scheduled content.
All right, so method one for making money is becoming a YouTuber
and the best way to do this is with a personal brand.
And a personal brand means people get to know your actual face and personality,
which is terrifying but also profitable.
So pick something you genuinely know about or can learn faster than most people,
also known as a niche.
And you can pick this inside of productivity, finance, cooking,
literally anything where you can add your own perspective
because the algorithm rewards originality,
which means you need to be different than everyone else.
And it also rewards consistency more than perfection.
So you can make mediocre content where you're just being yourself three times a week
and that's going to beat making one video every three months that you think is perfect.
Now, let's talk about how long it's going to take you to get monetized,
aka get a thousand subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time.
So the expected timeline here is 6 to 12 months to make your first hundred dollars,
but then it compounds like interest.
And once you have an audience, they'll follow you anywhere,
which is both wonderful and slightly concerning.
That being said, there's a bunch more ways to make money with YouTube
because if you just relied on the money that Google gives you from ads,
you're going to be broke unless you're getting millions and millions of views.
But my friend Sean Dolowit, he does Amazon KDP
and he teaches people how to do Amazon KDP on YouTube,
which he makes a load of money with.
Okay, so method two for making money online is Amazon KDP
and this is publishing books.
Now, everyone thinks that AI killed book writing,
but here's the secret.
AI is terrible at sharing personal experiences.
So write about things that you've actually done or learned the hard way.
This is relatable to other people
and it's going to get them to actually learn the lesson.
It's going to get them to remember the lesson
and it's going to get them to emotionally invest in your book.
And it's really good if you write about things you've actually done or learned the hard way.
So if you can't just Google and feed a chat GPT like how I actually fix my anxiety
or what really works for productivity when you have ADHD.
Now, AI can write generic advice,
but it can't write your story in your specific solutions
and people will pay a premium for information that comes from real experience,
not Wikipedia.
Also, make sure you make a cover that doesn't look like it was designed by AI either.
Now, with that being said, you can use AI to make the writing process easier
and then you would upload to Kindle Direct Publishing
and watch people buy your thoughts for 99 cents.
Now, the barrier to entry to making books is insanely low right now
because of AI and because of the fact
that Amazon allows you to publish directly on their platform
and then markets for you.
With that being said, I do prefer making videos
just because I think the barrier to entry is a little higher
and it's a little harder for people to do.
So therefore you have way less competition.
But realistically every book you write can make anywhere between
five and five hundred dollars per month per book
if you stick to topics that AI can't replicate,
which is basically anything that requires being a human who has lived through stuff.
And also make sure you write more than one book
unless you want to be the literary equivalent of a one-hit wonder
because that almost never works.
Quick break.
This video is sponsored by me.
Most of you don't know that I actually have my own coaching program
on personal branding and then growing and making money on YouTube.
And this is good for complete beginners,
maybe even people who just want to get a job by growing their personal brand,
all the way up to people who are very advanced on YouTube
and they get to work directly with myself and my team
to help them reach their goals.
Now, we are opening up three to five spots and this is pretty rare.
We usually don't have these open.
We usually only limit them to select people,
but we're opening up three to five spots
and you can check those out down the description and the pinned comment below.
And in this program, you'll get to work directly with myself
and other people who are highly successful on YouTube.
Just as an example, Sean was able to go all the way from being stuck,
not making very much money on his channel to making over $500,000 a month.
Now, that's an example of one of my more advanced students,
but there's lots of examples of people who started off from scratch
and they got to 5k a month, 10k a month, etc.
So, check that out down the description and the pinned comment below.
All right, method three is affiliate marketing
and this is where you recommend products that you actually use
and get paid when people buy them.
And it's kind of like being a salesperson,
but without the crushing existential dread.
So, a really easy way to get started with this
is to join the Amazon Associates program,
but you can also join Impact, Rakuten,
or literally any company with an affiliate program,
which you can usually find at the bottom of their website.
Now, you can promote these affiliate links through your YouTube channel,
blog, or overly aggressive Instagram posts,
but don't be that person who promotes anything and everything,
including questionable cryptocurrency.
Now, realistic earnings, $100,000 to $2,000 per month,
depending on how good you are at convincing people they need things.
And also how ethical you want to be about it,
which is entirely up to your conscience.
The key is only promoting stuff that you would actually recommend to your mom,
unless your mom has terrible taste,
in which case you can just use your own judgment.
Now, by the way, after you've done any of these for a long period of time,
you can obviously make more than a few thousand dollars a month,
but I want to give you realistic expectations
for goals to go for in your first year in business.
All right, method number four is selling expensive stuff on YouTube.
Now, remember method number one?
Now, do that, but expensive.
Create courses, coaching programs, agencies, services, or consulting services,
and charge $500 to $5,000 for your expertise
in whatever you've been talking about for six months.
And people will pay premium prices if you find the right people
and you solve the right problems for them.
For instance, Nicole helps women get high-paying cybersecurity jobs.
And remember my friend Sean from earlier?
He solves the expensive problem of how to make money with Amazon KDP.
And you can also do things like how to not fail at business
or productivity for people who make six figures.
But some of these things require actual expertise
unlike most of the things on the internet.
And they also require the confidence to charge money without apologizing,
which is harder than it sounds
because you'll want to be like,
sorry, this costs money.
Please don't hate me.
Now, earnings here realistically is $2,000 to $20,000 per month
if you don't have imposter syndrome.
And I know this is higher than a lot of the other ones on the list,
but it's also one of the harder ones to pull off as well
because you do have to actually get people on the phone
and then sell them stuff,
which means you'll have to interact with other human beings.
And that's kind of scary.
Now, the trick is to solve problems that cost people more than what you're charging.
So with Nicole, for instance,
she helps people get into high-paying cybersecurity jobs.
These are jobs that oftentimes pay six figures a year,
sometimes even multiple six figures.
And so if she charges thousands of dollars for a coaching program
helping people get into these jobs,
it makes complete sense
because in many cases they're doubling their salary.
Basic math.
So there you go.
Four ways to make money that won't land you in federal prison.
Will you get rich?
Maybe if you tried hard enough.
Will you make enough money to afford brand name cereal?
Potentially.
Remember, slow and steady wins the race
unless it's a race against the IRS,
in which case you're probably screwed already.
Good luck out there.
Try not to get audited
and subscribe if you want more financial advice
from someone who is definitely not a financial advisor.
Also, like this video if you want the algorithm to think I'm useful.
The algorithm is very judgmental and I need its approval.
Okay, so that was hard trying to be super monotone.
Did I do a good job?
Hopefully I did.
With that being said,
make sure you hire a good accountant and all that stuff.
And also good luck.
And on a serious note,
when I first started on YouTube,
I had the expectation in my head
that it was going to take me at least 10 years
to make it to a full-time income.
Now, I did make it there in less than a year,
but it's a good thing that I had the right expectation
because if you think you're going to be making money overnight,
you are going to be seriously disappointed.
And also, if you want to check out exactly how we helped Sean
grow all the way to over $500,000 a month on YouTube,
then you can check that out by clicking right here.
