Yum, yum, yum. What a time to be alive
for Philly sports fans. From the Eagles
to the Phillies, everywhere you turn, it
is game on. And we have the perfect game
day dish for you. Two words, cheese
steak dip. Warm, bubbling, and bursting
with Philly's iconic flavors. We head to
Lucy Sports Bar in Center City for the
dish that will make you the star of your
watch party.
Thing about a cheese steak is we can't
quit it. It's who we are. It's in our
veins. Everybody loves dips, so uh
thought we'd put a cheese steak in a
dip.
The Philly cheese steak dip is a brand
new game day addition to the menu at
Lucy's, a sports bar on Chestnut Street
in Center City. We're defending our
championship. Well, did you bring that
kind of energy into this game day?
That's all we were thinking about
actually. How can we bring our game day
energy here every day? So, we have a lot
of fun new options, a lot of new wing
flavors.
There's the Philly Philly platter. This
is like Philly on a plate, right? We
got fried cheese curds, some onion
rings, and our Philly pretzel
and wings. Lots and lots of wings. And
whether you're grabbing a seat at this
bar or on your couch, you can be digging
into Lucy's Cheese Steak Dip. It all
starts with the steak, the good stuff.
We've got our shaved ribeye here that
we're going to start just, you know,
nicely cooking up on our flat top. Going
to add some onions and fry those up as
well.
Once they're good to go, it's time to
build. And because it's a dip, we know
you're about to add the good stuff.
Yes. I've got my room temperature cream
cheese and about equal parts uh
shredded. This is Cooper Sharp American
cheese.
Of course it is.
I love the way it's we can shred it. And
it's going to melt again when we heat it
up. We're going to bake it and then
we're going to put it in the broiler to
get the top a little bit crispy.
Just fold it all in.
Got a big batch. You could use probably
a mixer, but I'm just doing this by
hand. I'm just going to add a little bit
of more salt. And then this next part's
completely up to us. How many cherry
peppers do we want in this? Do we want
it spicy? Do we want it just a little
bit? It's like the Eagles this season.
You're going all in.
All in. We'll throw a couple more in
for good luck.
Yeah, I love them. And then I spread it
into this little cast iron dish. And I'm
going to bake it in the oven
for just about 5 to 10 minutes. If
you're using a big casserole dish for a
larger group,
probably like 30 to 40 minutes at 350.
Waiting till how melted, how crispy you
like it.
Melty, bubbling.
Serve with some tortilla chips and start
scooping.
It might still be hot from the oven.
It is. So, look at this. We got our
onions in here. We gave it a little
extra kick because why shouldn't we? Go
birds.
Yeah, that's really good.
You show up with this at somebody's
party or you serve this at your house,
they're going to ask you to bring it
every time. So, be careful.
MVP.
