Guyana in South America is the world of giant otters, jaguars and the majestic harpy eagle, as well as many other impressive animals. About 80% of Guyana is covered by pristine rainforest. Here lies one of the oldest protected areas in the country. The people are attached to their traditions and values. While the jaguar searches for its prey in the undergrowth, the spider monkeys are constantly on guard against the harpy. Black caimans nest on the riverbanks, sharing their habitat with giant otters.
