【Classical music and nature 古典音樂小站】Johann Sebastian Bach: Concerto for 2 Harpsichords in C minor, BWV 1060. This beautiful piece was played by Collegium Musicum Paris. It has common licence (Public Domain Mark 1.0 Universal) and is provided through musopen.org.
While the surviving 18th century manuscripts present the concerto in a version for two harpsichords and strings, the idea that it originated as a concerto for violin and oboe has been widely accepted since the late 19 century. While the exact date of this earlier concerto is unknown, it is believed to have existed from the early 1720s. The version for two harpsichords probably dates from around 1736. A broader estimate for the time of origin of this version is 1735–1740.
