On the night of September 7, 2025, a protest broke out in the men's dormitory of Jiang-Nan Polytechnic Vocational School in Guangdong Province, with thousands of students shouting for the school to "refund the money."

On the evening of September 7th, after a day of military training, students discovered that their dormitories had no hot water. At that time, the weather was scorching in Guangzhou, and students were unable to shower at night. At 9:15 PM, the school forced the students to go to bed, immediately cut off power, and turned off the air conditioning.
