Top Plays - Shaw/Cheng 🇺🇸 | 2025 BPT Elite 16 João Pessoa - Road to Gold | Beach Volleyball

Back to Shaw, better pass. There's the option taken from Kelly Chang. That is perfect. Line to line on Shaw. Shaw, one of her first swings here, goes deep to the middle, catches the end line. That is perfect. Good jump serve to the middle. Chang's gonna pull. Chance for Chang with nobody up. Five serving six. Good pass. Catch Shaw. That's gonna catch the line. Nice touch from Shaw. And that is the skill set of Molly Shaw. She and Michelle from Paraguay in two straight sets. And then AP and Duda taking care of Molly Phillips and her forward in two straight sets as well to find themselves here. Three apiece over the shoulder. Duda is there. Duda in transition. Duda cross court. Chang is there diving into that angle. Nice move. Good little serve. Tight pass. And a patricia down the line. There's Kelly Chang with another block. Kelly Chang, she wants this one. Right back to AP. Putting her to work. Another touch from Chang as AP tries to sneak it down the line. And it is USA with a monster run here. 6-4 United States. Hold on to a two-point lead. Kelly Chang gets a huge block there on the cross court swing from Patricia. And a three-point lead for this event. Signing out at a crisp 74 percent. It is a healthy number for this team. Overhead. Tight ball as Kelly Chang poking it to the deep part of the court. Nobody home there for Brazil. Just a couple of hours away. Big tourist town here in Joao Pessoa. There's the first option. Hi-ya from Kelly Chang straight down. Chang, she's got some variety in her serve. That one in the middle high at the end line. Tomlin trying to roll Victoria up. Victoria off speed to the cut. Right back to the option. What control from Molly Shaw to put that dig up perfectly for Kelly. And again, a team like Tomlin and Victoria, the form they're on as well as maybe have the impact if it continues. Good float. Tomlin on the line on Shaw. Perfect. Shaw facing angle and chipping to that high line. So they know how to do it, especially against AP and Duda. Victoria getting a little bit of movement here and surprise. Here comes Chang diving back in to get that stuff. And Kelly Chang is just a game changer when she gets that. That set is a little slippery and Osvaldo waving his finger at Kelly and Molly saying that's fine. Brazil to side out first. We get underway. Brazil in the green tops. USA in those black tops. Inside set for Garol. Good pokey cover from Rebecca. Rebecca overhead and Kelly Chang getting that block on that first swing from Rebecca. Kelly super lively at the net. Back to back blocks. Really dialed into the offense. So Kelly has done a good job on the homework. Really understanding how they're coming in. Another soft touch from Chang. Her handwork right now. Good patience from Shaw. United States to the cut shot goes Molly Shaw. And it's a quick 2-0 start for the squad from USA. Wow. Kelly Chang three touches on every single possible. Nothing's got through her yet except butt. Heavy grip from Rebecca. Shaw out of the middle looking to go deep jumbo. There's that pull defense we talked about. This set will be a little bit tight from Rebecca and Kelly Chang cleans it up. The trajectory looked like it was up. Denise agreed. Agreed. Back to action. How does USA respond? Shaw comes in aggressive. A nice healthy cut for Shaw. Another heavy rip but handled well. The set over is pure magic from Molly. 18-16 here. Still two-point lead for the United States. Rebecca goes to crank it across court and there is Chang collecting her second block of this match. A chance to get that ball anyways. Across court trying to go in with some anger on that swing but finding the block of Kelly. To the middle. Carole gonna work out of the middle. She's trying to go back to the line. Excellent handwork from Kelly Chang. Block number four. Beautiful work. It's serving through the middle. Making that transition with Jackie Silver from that indoor to the beach game in a hurry. Sure. Back to action. Kelly Chang. She says I don't care about your medical. I'm coming out. I'm getting another block. And that is really good focus. Kelly Chang had the bit between her teeth and now she has... Right back to Rebecca. Rebecca gonna go overhead. Going across court and that is shut down from Chang. Unbelievable. The first the first finals for Kelly Chang and Molly Shaw this season. Three a piece. The chest of Shaw. Shaw gonna wrap it to the high line. That one is good. She loves that shot. Good containment. It's interesting. For your partner right in the lap of Chang. Chang taking a little bit off and a little snappy to the cross court. Nicely done. 19-15. And Cannon wants to let that one go but it lands in on the back line. Again another tight ball and Kelly Chang there again for the stuff. Yeah no question. Challenge that block. We talked about that a lot. Use that block. Tight ball option. Craft in the perfect spot for the option dig. To trim the lead to one. Not yet says Shaw. A little bit tight and Cannon throws it back down. No way. It's really tough. That's not the angle for us to be the best judge on that. But goodness gracious. What a big moment. How do they respond? Chang gets the stuff. Gotta get the feet ready now. Shake it off. On the shoulder. Craft trying to roll Cannon up. It's a little bit tight. Into the block of Chang and they do it. Brilliant finish by Molly Shaw and Kelly Chang. Kelly Chang in the second half of that set absolutely inserting her dominance over the net and there was no answer for Therese Cannon and Megan Craft.
