Thrifty Shopping Haul

Hello, hello, how is everybody today? I am doing good. The weather is beautiful. I'm gonna go do some painting and maybe hang out outside later. Yeah, very excited. I am here for a Thrifty Thursday video and I've got quite a bit of stuff because I believe, well I missed it last week. I ended up being in town all day so I was too tired to do the video and then the week before I think like I did the video early. That's what it was. I did it a couple days early and then I ended up going to the thrift store again. So I've kind of been accumulating stuff for a couple weeks, good solid couple weeks. Not that I do a lot of thrift shopping but I have gone a couple times. Yeah and then I have some other things too. First I'm gonna start with these. So I collect the Starbucks You Are Here mugs or there's different ones. This is the You Are Here collection. There's also Where I've Been I think it's called or Where You've Been or something. Anyway they released like the whole collection again kind of in a different style. Yeah so I got this from my sister or she brought it to me and it was from my sister's friend Brittany. Thank you Brittany. She lives in Alberta so I was like oh and my sister went out to visit her and I was like oh if you happen to go buy a Starbucks can you get me one of their mugs and I wasn't even thinking that Edmonton would have its own because some places have the cities have their own their own separate mug kind of thing. Yeah I wasn't even thinking that I was going to be an Alberta mug but yeah there's a and then my lovely husband got me so that one was free yay. My lovely husband got me there was a lot of mugs I think it was four mugs and there was I think it was a Superman mug that he wanted and so yeah there was these other two mugs they were five dollars each which is really really a great price. Niagara Falls I don't think I have Niagara Falls. I've never been but a friend may have given it to me but I don't think so I'll have to check but yeah. New York I definitely have New York already I think this is like my third maybe maybe fourth New York mug the same one. I have like all the different versions of New York too the different sets but yeah that's great because I mean I can use them too. This one's a little weird too I noticed it's kind of like it's like the wait I see that right maybe not okay I was gonna say I thought I saw like some like little like kind of like bubbles or something in the glaze but or was that this one I was looking no okay all right I was gonna say there might be a defect maybe it'll uh something I shouldn't use and wash and put in hot water you know. All right so the next thing um is not a thrifty find uh they're kind of expensive but when I saw that they existed I lost my mind. So I'm a child of the 80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are very were very much a big thing for me love Ninja Turtles um yeah and I also love Hello Kitty she was kind of my midlife crisis I joked but um yeah so McDonald's released Hello Kitty um Ninja Turtles mashup. So there are 12 total so as you can see I've got eight I'm missing four and really honestly these ones Cinnamon Roll My Melody um oh what's her name it starts with a k kiromi that's it um I don't really care about them the set I wanted most was this one the green Hello Kitty in each of the four turtles uh but yeah they're the last ones to be released so I've got this one I need the other three so that means out of these ones I'm only missing one so I may as well get the whole set yeah right so yeah my lovely husband Saturday we had gone in town and he drove around we went to like I think like five McDonald's because he is bound and determined to get me all of those thank you thank you Rob I love you oh and he also got me this didn't know it existed he saw it at one McDonald's so he grabbed it for me look at that a little crayon isn't that awesome I love that it's green so yeah I've just kind of I stuck that up I have some cork boards on my wall for inspiration I just kind of stuck it up there on top of the cork board and it looks right cute um my husband ordered these for me from T-Moon so if you weren't aware um our cats were named after Sailor Moon's cats these are Sailor Moon's cats this is Artemis this is Luna but it's Luna with a little tiny Artemis and Artemis a little tiny Luna so yeah so remember our babies isn't that really cute I was like those are so stinking cute so yeah he got me those what else do I got oh okay this is stuff from Dollarama we had stopped in Dollarama for a couple things so um um look at these I don't know I don't need storage in my craft room but seriously like look at those oh my god I was like okay I can't leave those because like first of all they're like you know they're very tactile they're they're they're not crocheted they're um like braided rug type thing like sewn I guess coiled and sewn um yeah and then they have these little like plushy bits on them they're just so cute so yeah I'll probably I'll put them I'll find a surface to put them on first and then I'll put like you know a few little things in them not sure what because like I said I don't really need storage but oh and some garbage bags these I used to use in all the waste paper baskets in my house but um Hercules oh that's new yeah I'll see if that claim is right um since COVID and the whole shrink-flation thing they've gotten a lot thinner so they tear way easier so I only use them now in my bathroom garbage everything else I've upgraded to regular garbage bags my bathroom garbage is really small so I don't want to use like a regular garbage bag oh and I got these these are so cute place cards Deb Kim Emily let me know if you want any of these isn't that cute so for little you know autumn or Halloween journals not that I'm gonna get to make any of those this year I'm too busy and got things still kind of I haven't organized my holiday stuff um got this for my bedroom um I had gotten a couple of these before but I'd never seen the green and that's kind of similar to the the green that's in my kitchen and hallway um mine's a little more blue this is a little more sagey but it does kind of it'll tie the rooms together kind of thing like I'll put it where you can see out the door so you can see the wall and it kind of you know looks like the same color oh um Deb if you want one of these let me know I grabbed you one I totally forgot I grabbed you um yeah because I figured your uh your watercolor cat journal if you don't want it that's fine I mean I can definitely use all of it myself I can use two paper pads so there's 30 sheets okay marble yellow ink that's pretty yeah all right so yeah Deb let me know I grabbed one for you but oh that's perfect for your journal um yeah if you already have it don't want it let me know that's no problem oh Barbie I've been collecting Barbie things here and there when I find them little things um I forgot to open this um because I am doing a Barbie journal at some point oh I should have cut the back of this that's what Rob does when I have something I want to keep he's so smart like that he cuts the back of the package he's like here I know you want to keep the front of the package good it's like ah so yeah I just got this it was just uh I hope it wasn't five dollars I don't think it was five dollars I think it was a couple bucks oh okay she doesn't even really look like a Barbie but okay so yeah I figured I could make a little um like a little charm for the Barbie journal I don't know when that Barbie journal is happening it's going to be a while because yeah I've got other journals on the go these v journals are kind of all over the place oh I don't buy paper napkins too often especially ones that I know I won't use a like a bunch of but my god look at these I had to get these aren't those so cool again Deb Kim Emily if you want someone you know there's only 12 in there so it's not like I you know I have a package of 40 or something ridiculous oh and I got these because I'm doing an 80s 90s journal aren't these perfect everything the color like the patterns just perfect perfection for 80s journals what else did I get oh and I got this oh Deb let me know if you want some of this too to tuck into your journal it is like very watercolor-y it's very pretty again I don't buy a whole lot of paper pads because I have so many but that one was really nice oh and last but not least toothpicks because I couldn't find any toothpicks I was looking for toothpicks in the house and I couldn't find any so yeah toothpicks and actually I'm gonna keep one here in my craft room for like mixing in things there we go perfect all right next um oh my lovely husband got me this I'm just gonna pick this bag up okay again on marketplace my lovely husband got me this hoodie it's like a team hoodie I'm sure it doesn't feel like great quality but it's brand new never worn you can feel it so and it was five bucks so isn't that great isn't that awesome isn't it hilarious it's got dust on it so yeah I'm losing stuff out of this bag almost here okay hang on but I shouldn't I must pull my chair over I would have made sense okay sorry for the loud crinkling so this I got for you Deb well like for you know for your your baby journals because I'm like God look at that or your baby journal so Deb's got a cute little baby granddaughter Darla so that's for Deb I'm sure she's got a million baby stickers but yeah speaking of Deb so this Deb gave me these told me to take what I wanted out of them I was over her place a couple weeks ago helping um helping her harvest some books so yeah Prince Edward Island and Prince Edward Island oh sorry you know what I'm gonna pull this out a bit there we go um I'm doing an Anna Green Gables journal at some point I've started gathering for it so yeah thank you Deb I will be putting um yeah some of those in that journal um and I also while I was cutting images for Deb I stole a few for myself I asked her of course um yeah I took a couple like really cool space pictures not that I need any more pictures of anything but yeah so look at that isn't that creepy so yeah I got a little bit of bits and pieces there um uh and this is Value Village no Salvation Army so I did find another Barbie I've been looking for a Barbie um I'm looking for a Barbie like vintagey Barbie little golden book because Diane Hebert made a couple Barbie journals that's what got me going on those Barbie journals out of like a vintage Barbie little golden book and so far I haven't found one but that one's actually pretty cool this it's Red Riding Hood this probably had a picture although it doesn't look like something anything came off it so it's really oh yeah wait right there okay yeah it did have a picture at some point but yeah um this is like from Japan and look it's like little puppets isn't that cute I don't quite know what I'm gonna do with that but yeah it's super cute this one I like anything that's lengthwise makes it interesting but yeah aren't these cool very cool so yeah those will be cool in you know maybe Halloween journals or something oh and this when I was harvesting books for Deb she bought this book at Aya Village and like like I harvested all the pictures for her and I was like are you gonna use that cover and she said no so I'm gonna think I think I'm gonna kind of cut it out maybe make some sort of like I don't know but anyway it's Plague Doctrine it looks really cool oh and speaking of Deb Deb I bought you this if you want it it's like all the handmade paper you just got a little elephant and then some handmade papers inside you can repurpose it or use it or whatever I thought you'd like a little elephant oh and Anna Green Gables I've been collecting Anna Green Gables books for the journals Deb gave me this she bought it to use as a craft iron but she said it doesn't get hot enough I think and I told her to just return it because it cost her I think like 15 bucks and she's like no just give it to you display on your mini shelf because I don't need a little iron but yeah isn't that adorable and it's even got a little smiley face yes I did those where are you going with them so thank you Deb for the iron I won't use that you should have returned I think she gave me this too a little book let me know I'm not quite sure where that little book came from it must have been from you because I think this is all stuff pretty well that came from you yeah she gave me these elastics because I've been using them to uh when I make strips to uh make um make ruffles out of I've been using that um this I got at Value Village $2.99 all four corners it's crocheted um trim around the edge and then all four corners are hand embroidered looks like cruel yeah very pretty hey Deb did you give me this I saw this in here and I think it came from you and honestly I think I already have this pattern I might be mistaken but oh wait did she say something about my bedroom because I'm doing my bedroom in bees but I'm going to use a lot of vintage florals um vintage floral like sheets and things so yeah I've been kind of collecting those maybe that's what it's for thank you Deb uh $3.99 again I don't normally buy too many you know tablecloths or anything like that but this was a this was a nice big hand crocheted one so yeah I thought that was pretty interesting but that's okay I'll just dye it oh Deb got me this and she thought it was hilarious I think it's one of the ugliest things I've ever seen I don't know if she thinks I'm gonna use it and I mean I love neon I might you know what I might take that J off there um yeah but I was like no no no maybe I'll save the fringe for my 80s journal actually because I was like why why why why is that a thing and then some trim or fun fibers eyelash yarn um this look at this isn't that gorgeous love that color um she also gave me this which is like uh it's like weird feeling this is what minky was before it was minky it's like old school a little bit fuzzy I think they make kids pajamas out of that in the 80s you know the ones that were like oh it's flammable so don't get it near a flame it's like couldn't you make your kids pajamas you know out of anything else I mean I know they shouldn't be near a flame but oh my little pony Deb gave me oh and this was I'm curious to see how this is gonna come up on my camera because Kim got a piece of this too and she showed it and it looked like like turquoise blue but it's actually like hunter green it's like a forest green so yeah it's so funny because we buy these fabrics and I'm like oh god I would never wear that fabric but then to make stuff for journals ruffles and flowers and things it's like oh my goodness that's awesome oh and this the taffeta I love love love the taffeta there's like two colors so this is like a gold and a pink or well I guess it's like a greeny greeny gold and then like a purple pink love that something unique to put in my stash oh I got some little scraps in here um this was bits and pieces I believe of yeah something she had taken apart I guess maybe I think why did I get this was this meant for me Deb those look like Kim's colors let me know oh more my little pony fabric yay oh and Deb found we found these at Bayou Village um they're like I don't know if they're supposed to be a crochet cotton or what but they're like shiny and they're thick they're like a cord yeah so we're gonna try those for binding and should be uh should be good for binding so she gave me a couple rolls thank you Deb and last but not least Deb took a bunch out of this um oh not last but not least sorry no I had I have another bin I meant out of that bag yeah uh Deb gave me the this roll of um washi tape because I needed more washi tape like a punch in the face but yeah she'd taken a bunch out of these and I believe like you know passed them on to people that you know wanted them or whatever so I'm gonna take a look and see what I want Deb you already give some to Thelma because uh yeah I can just put this whole book after I'm done taking things out I can put it in Thelma's um in Thelma's bag that I've been accumulating stuff for her let me know okay all right my bin okay I felt like I hauled these but I don't think I have I went back and looked and I couldn't find them anywhere so but I think it's because I had them a long time this is yeah this was the night that I had made my video and then I made my Thirsty Thursday video and then went to Value Village that night so yeah um this little apron or I guess it's not little it's it's it's a full apron um yeah Emily if you want this it's uh for you for some reason I don't know why but I always associate goth with rockabilly so I mean if you want it it's all good if not then whatever I guess I'll just hang it in my kitchen for you know add it to my apron collection oh and this is for Kim I had sent Kim a picture and asked her if she was still doing um embroidery she was doing some hand embroidery in these colors like the corals and the yellows and stuff and I asked her she's still doing it and she didn't really say anything so I think she just liked the picture so it was $2.99 so I bought it um I might take a little motif off it or something but yeah Kim let me know if you know you if you want it oh this fabric I love this fabric only I would love this fabric look at this fabric so it's like it's kind of heavy duty it's like it's a bit heavier than a twill it's almost a canvas and it's this crazy green with this purple embroidery isn't that amazing I'm not quite sure what you'd use it for because it's it's it's not very wide it's only like half it'd be like probably 22 inches and it's both uh finished edges so yeah I I think maybe it was something like um Indian like for like saris and things like that I know a lot of people like handmade saris and stuff so yeah it was only four dollars for the great big great big piece of it oh these oh I've never been excited about chargers before I've always thought chargers were like kind of kind of pointless but these I'm doing my kitchen and living room my whole upstairs and pastels so I think what I'm going to do is put something in the middle and use these as frames aren't those cool I mean for now I might just prop them up on my uh on my uh my bookshelf that's in my dining room that I have all of my blu-ray pastel dishes on all of my pastel bits and pieces oh yeah I got some books in here too oh I got these I have bought these this was value village I have bought some of these um years ago at a dollar store it was the buck or two guys remember that place um in Canada and they sold them by the sheet and I think they were like a quarter a sheet or something but yeah I these are like a bunch of them okay so there's two designs six sheets okay so it's going to be three of each so paper dolls I thought first of all my you know and a green gables and probably barbie yeah so very neat they're old old old like memory makers that's like probably the 90s like early early scrapbooking yeah it doesn't say but those are neat move this stuff around here all right so I don't think I opened any of this so this was $3.99 why did I buy this oh because of the stationery usually I don't buy I hate when value village yeah oh no I didn't have this one I thought I had this one it was unicorns this one's horses that's pretty it's really really thin stationery but it is really pretty so I do like to tuck it into journals like when I make them um oh and this one yes I feel like I had this at one point yeah when I was a kid maybe but isn't that beautiful again it's really thin like paper but it is really pretty and then address book I don't need the address book yeah I find though like when value village prices stuff I like that they put pens in with the journals and stuff but usually they're like $7.99 you get like one journal and a couple pens yeah oh that's a mechanical pencil that looks kind of like a nice mechanical pencil I'll have to check that out I wonder if this pen writes purple oh no it's a pencil too oh they're both pencils oh yay bonus I'll definitely use mechanical pencils oh yeah I did find some more stationery too and again it was only $3.99 so I was kind of impressed with that it's like okay yeah yeah okay I'll pay four dollars for this right here oh isn't that beautiful look at that that is so pretty I love the box and then I assume these are little note cards oh pretty envelopes look at those it's cream other berry oh I wonder if there's a strawberry because I am oh I've got an overabundance of things for the strawberry journal so Rob's got blackberries on his little tiny blackberry trees oh is it all blackberries what a pain um yeah and they're red we're waiting for them to turn to turn black a couple of them have but they're uh they're not very fast and ripening this is like this is like a surprise for me too because I bought this stuff like two weeks ago I don't remember what what's here and like I said yeah I haven't even opened it so oh I got more stationery what an exciting stationery day for me $3.99 this I love oh roman flower oh that's beautiful I wonder I want to see if the inside pad is like completely colored oh no oh okay hang on oh this is the sheet what you used to do is put the sheet behind the paper so you had lines you could you could make your writing for all of you that you know haven't been exposed to snail mail so yeah you could see to write straight but oh my goodness those are beautiful oh Deb let me know if you want a couple sheets of that for your watercolor journal because that would look really nice in your watercolor journal in my opinion and then this one too I didn't even know that one was in there that's beautiful wait I'm gonna look at it too yeah because I'm nosy like that that's lovely oh lovely lovely lovely and then this one I've had this one before pretty I have not had this one I like this one yeah the all the yellows that's pretty okay move this container back now that's my little recycling bin I keep under my desk to put stuff in that I buy to do thrifty thursday videos yeah it was it was a little full uh $1.99 again I don't buy a whole lot of trim and ribbon and things like that because I have so much but I love this orange the orange hem tape and this look at that I mean even that's really cool that'd look cool in my 80s journal but yeah that's a really really nice colors of rick rack and even this is really cute little pink whatever I don't know what this is I don't know if this is like actual you know do you use it as like twill tape kind of thing I think it's for something it's got like those stripes down it so like I don't know I think it's some sort of maybe hem tape or something I don't know and last but not least I think a barbie stuff five dollars I was like you know what I think this is gonna give me a lot of stuff to put into a barbie journal so and I am gonna try to keep it like vintagey but I do know I'm gonna have to put some modern stuff so barbie pencils I mean I don't really need those but they're kind of cool they look like they're brand new never opened yeah brand new never open I mean I guess if I decide to sell a barbie journal it would be good to include that sticker land 120 stickers let's see hopefully there's a mix new and vintage oh yeah look at that kind of like mod kind of thing okay it is newer barbie but yeah there's some uh oh are they all the same all six pages are the same oh I can kind of see this a little bit I was like okay there's something colorful in there look at that that's beautiful that's not barbie but oh my god it's beautiful look at that that's gorgeous now later to do maybe I could probably use those actually I'm not much of a planner person but I do make to-do lists and then more barbie oh I love the little logo cute I have some uh cabs or some little resin yeah things of that logo okay so there's some missing but I mean there's still lots there nice yay so yeah I'm happy with that I think that was worth it all right so that is everything that is my haul and my table is now completely covered in a huge pile of stuff all right so thanks for watching and uh yeah I do speaking of hauls I do still have a haul from Kim to do and not only do I have a that's not going back in there not only do I have a um a haul from Kim herself a bag of stuff that was for me um I also have a bag that was Kim will sometimes if she's not sure which one of us will like it me or Deb she'll just put it in a bag and tell us to fight over it kind of thing I mean she says we can decide but you know you know she means fight over it so yeah I've got that bag too to go through yeah and um yeah other than that I've got some uh I've got some videos coming up I have been working away at the bee journals I'm not going to bore you with that every single day like okay I'm you know whatever but once I get like to milestones in them kind of thing or certain points like once I have it bound I'll show you um kind of thing um yeah maybe maybe here and there I'll do a couple videos like I did the other day like you know I'll be like oh today I'm gonna do some uh sampling on pages or something and I feel like doing a video yeah so do that and I also have not forgotten about my journal giveaway I'm very sorry I haven't done that yet um I've just been so crazy busy but yeah I will get on that I have the video taped I just have to edit it all right so keep an eye for that that's for the journal giveaway for one of these bad boys my trashy junk journals since I made so many I made 10 I'll never use 10 for as long as I live all right although saying that you know makes me want to do a trashy junk journal page maybe I will do that actually instead of working on the bee journals I think I'll uh clean my table up a little bit maybe do a uh a page in my trashy junk journal so I may post that tomorrow if I uh if I do it today I'll make sure it's posted for tomorrow if not then you guys
