Hey! Come on in!
I am just about ready to get started.
I was wondering if there were going to be any people here still coming around.
Like I said, I'm just about ready to get started, but...
Okay. Not as it goes along.
So far!
Traffic, and I hope that everyone can...
Can everyone over there hear me?
Yeah!
Thank you, ma'am.
Can everybody else hear me?
They're really mellow.
Mardin, I have come to you directly stood and told a little bit about themselves.
Energy flowing.
Hi! How's everybody doing?
Good!
I feel the energy now.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, my name is Mardin.
I have come to you directly from Baltimore, Maryland.
It's perfect.
There are a lot of you sitting here, but I prefer to start off...
With at least 500 people standing around me.
Very good solution for that.
Since you guys are just like hanging out anyway...
Here's what I'm going to do.
We all are going to work together, okay?
We're going to work together.
I'm going to take all of these balls.
I'm going to bounce them on the ground.
And when they hit the ground, I want you guys to scream, clap, yell, go wild with applause.
Hit the person next to you.
Make sure they're making noise.
That way, everybody over there and everybody over there will come out really good.
Explorvay!
That was great for starters.
So bear with me if it doesn't work.
Remember, the noise, the shout.
Thank you very much. Thank you.
Here we go.
It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.
Thank you. Thank you.
Didn't it bring more people over here? Check it out.
All right, folks.
I know.
We're out there wandering.
Just how many balls is she bouncing?
Five.
It's ten.
It's a lie, but it sounds good.
That's right. I heard some young one yell it out.
I am bouncing five balls continuously.
I'd like to let you know that what you are seeing is me bouncing five balls.
But also, there are thousands upon thousands of variations of five balls bouncing.
In other words, there are many, many different types of, I could be doing.
This is the only one that I know.
It's not a joke.
But what I will do with this one five ball bouncing pattern is I will attempt to take it down.
That's not what I'm going to do.
Here we go.
I will attempt to take it as close to the ground as I possibly can.
At that point in time, I want you guys to go wild with the second round of applause.
Are you all still with me?
Yeah!
You guys are grooving. All right.
All right, here we go.
Somebody's over there doing it.
Check it out, folks. Check it out.
All five balls up into the air.
Yeah!
Later!
Once again, folks, my name is Mardeen.
I'm playing at the Hyatt.
They are sponsoring me and putting me up.
They brought me into town.
Also, the Hong Kong Bank of Canada is one of our sponsors as well.
I'd like to bring their name up.
Let's give them a hand, folks.
It's a very big pleasure for me to be here in Vancouver.
Is there anybody out there from Vancouver?
Yes.
Cool.
Anybody from out of town?
Thank you, sir. Thank you.
Abbott.
Abbott Ford.
Abbott Ford. Very good.
And what is your name, sir?
Bill.
Bill?
Abbott Ford.
Hi there.
Hi.
Let's give Bill a hand.
Since you're from, like, Abbott Ford,
I'd like to dedicate the first routine especially for you.
Okay.
Okay, cool.
Now, I truly believe that with juggling,
you need to involve a little bit of danger, folks.
And that's why I dedicated this one to Bill.
Aren't you happy about this, sir?
Yep.
All right, now, Bill, what I need you to do for me, sir, it's no big deal.
I would like you to please examine these and make sure they're real.
Bill, thank you very much.
Machete juggling in your face.
These machetes under my right leg.
But first, Bill, the man from Abbott Ford,
I want you to do me a big favor, baby.
What's that?
Come right over here and lay your body right underneath my juggling pad.
Come on, dude, what's wrong?
Bill, it's a joke.
Sit down, Bill.
Trust in me.
I love it.
You Canadians are weird, man.
All right.
No problem.
All right, here we go.
I want you guys to give me a really loud, ooh.
All right, here we go.
Check it out, folks.
Under the right leg.
Did you see it?
Yeah.
I'm going for it this time.
Don't forget the oohs.
Ooh.
Sounds like we're having a party.
That's why you're a woman.
All right.
Machetes under my left leg.
I want you guys to give me a really loud, ah.
All right, here we go.
Now wait, wait.
Really, baby.
Hush, hush, hush.
Bill.
Honey pie.
What I'm going to do, Bill, I'm going to throw the machete under my left leg,
and I want you, all by your lonesome, to give me a really loud, ah.
Okay.
Oh, good.
He's good to go.
All right, here we go, folks.
Everybody else.
Sit.
Here we go.
Here we go, Bill.
Just for you, sweetheart.
Ah.
End this off.
I will throw one of them, or two of them.
What am I trying to say?
I will throw them at almost exactly the same time, under the right leg, under the left leg,
and I want you guys to go really, really loud.
Ooh, ah, chicky, chicky time.
Here we go, folks.
That means you too, Billy, all right?
Here we go.
Ah.
The next part of my show, I need someone, just me.
They might have a little bit of technical ability, and that's preferably a woman.
Come right this way, sweetheart.
Come right this way.
Don't step on any little feet.
Come right down here.
If you could stand directly behind the box.
Stand directly behind this box, because I have to give you.
The cue will be energy.
At that point in time, you'll press the cover over here, pick up three clubs, do all kinds of wild tricks,
throw them behind my back, under the leg, all that kind of stuff.
And, with a trick that looks like this, get behind the back, and you press stop.
You got that covered?
I thought so.
She doesn't have a clue as to what's going on.
A lot of juggling.
A little bit of fire eating.
And some more juggling.
Please bear with me in the wind.
Ready for this?
I call this one pure energy.
Wow.
Is everybody having fun yet?
Yeah!
Good job.
All right, folks, let me see.
Not too tall, and not too small.
Kind of in between.
I think it might come right down this way.
Take your time, hurry up.
Stand right over there.
Hi.
What is your name, please?
That's correct.
It's Sarah.
Let's hear it for Sarah!
Yep.
And final question and answer to this routine.
Sweetheart, I need to know.
Do you, my good friend and neighbor, know how to...
I'm going to place this in your hand.
Hold on to the clean side, don't touch the dirty side.
I'm going to get up on my six-foot unicycle.
I'll get up there.
I need you to send me these three objects one at a time.
Can you handle doing that?
I thought so.
Now, Sarah.
What I would like for you to do is stand there.
Beautiful!
Just a wee bit more.
Here's Kennedy's.
Oh, my God!
Yes, Katie.
Sarah.
You're her father?
You bet.
Oh, my God!
Sarah?
Is it too big?
Billy baby?
He's had too much caffeine tonight.
All right, wait a minute. Here we go.
Now, Sarah.
Like I said, you're standing in front of a lot of people.
We need to take this hand way up in the air.
Break this leg out a wee little bit.
Go back.
Sarah.
What I'd love for you to do is just stand there and be patient for me for just a few moments
while I get one more person to assist me.
Can you handle doing that?
Help me out.
Who's very strong.
Very willing.
Someone who looks like they're really having a fun time.
That's you, baby.
Like a family show, folks.
All right.
Hi, there.
Hi.
Can everybody say, hey, Bill!
Hey!
What's up?
Hey, what's up?
See, you all have a big idea.
Is to get up and ride.
He hasn't even rode a two-wheeler bike yet.
In a long time.
Okay, okay.
You don't look too enthused about this.
It's okay.
I'll take matters into my own hands.
Now, Bill, I did get you up here because I need a strong man to help me out.
Sweetheart, what I want you to do for me.
Is to mount me up on a six-foot u-turn.
Sounds like a very simple procedure, wouldn't you say, sir?
Say?
All right, now.
You are here with your wife today?
Yep.
Janice.
Instructions along relatively well?
As well as most men do.
Maybe you better sit down.
That's kid existence.
All right, now.
Now, Bill.
What I need you to do for me, sir.
I need you to place your left foot in front of the tire of the unicycle.
And then, have your right hand placed on the bottom part of the body of the unicycle.
And have your left hand placed on the top part of the body of the unicycle.
Now, Billy, are you obtaining all this information?
I hope so.
I hope so, too, sweetheart.
Come and take the picture.
At least he's an honest man by luck.
Very good, very good.
Now, Bill.
You feel comfortable like that?
Yeah, okay.
All right, Bill.
The next procedure is, this hand goes up here.
Okay, I have to press this forward.
And you would go forward.
Don't fight me, don't fight me.
All right, Bill.
The next procedure is this.
I'll place my left foot here, my right foot here, and my left foot here.
And, Bill, my butt is going to land right up there.
Okay.
And if it doesn't, Billy, I feel sorry for you.
Okay.
All right.
You doing okay, Sarah?
Dad's helping me.
I'm doing a very, very good job, Sarah.
I'll be back to you in just a moment.
Okay.
Now, Bill, once I do get my butt situated up there, okay,
I will then tell you to move your foot immediately, okay?
Please do so immediately, but do not let go of the body of the unicycle.
You promise me, honey?
Yeah, I promise.
I know so, I know so.
All right, now.
Now, Bill, once I get up there, like I said, I'll tell you to move your foot,
but do not let go until I tell you exactly what to do with your hands, okay?
That's very important.
Now, Bill, we still don't know anything.
This goes forward.
Bill, Bill.
Oh, I'm too weak.
Exactly what to do.
All right, I am safe in this guy's arms.
You better not cry.
All right, all right.
Now, wait a minute.
Wait, wait, wait.
I saw a video.
Sir, sir, did you get any good video footage so far?
You've gotten good stuff already?
Well, wait a minute.
Let me give you, let me give you a little bit more of some really good stuff, okay?
Now, now, just zoom in on me for a minute, okay?
Now, turn it off.
Turn it off.
Thank you very much.
That's usually a gas, you guys.
Thank you, sir.
Thank you.
Remember, hold on very tight.
All right.
Next part could be tricky.
We're going to make it very simple.
Holy child.
Bro, what's this?
Calm down, babe.
Moves over.
All right, give her a massage, okay?
Babe, I'll stand right in front of that.
It's not a joke.
So if you did enjoy the show, even if you didn't, please stop by one of my two huts
and let me know just by phoning up and dropping in a little dough.
And if you should have any comments, maybe a couple criticisms or two,
just jot it down on a $50 bill.
Thank you for that moment of silence.
I promise you, I'll read it.
I promise.
But seriously, folks, this is what I do for a living.
I train very hard and I work out all the time.
And I try to bring you the best entertainment that I possibly can.
And I hope you guys enjoyed the show.
Please don't forget about my hats.
If there's someone who has a lighter that I could please borrow.
Someone who I could please borrow a lighter.
Do you have a lighter? I need a lighter.
If no one has a lighter for me to borrow.
Bill, could you do me a favor?
There's a lighter sitting right on my box.
Oh, you have one. Thank you very much.
Nice hair, sir. Really.
I'm so sorry.
All right, here we go. Here we go.
Wow, you're really funny.
Very cool. Okay, I got it.
Sir, I'll throw it right back to you.
Thank you for the use of your lighter.
A little something for helping me out.
Here we go, folks.
See the juggling, the unicycling you've seen here tonight.
If you have seen me from start to finish.
You know that I have done some extremely dangerous and difficult stunts.
I'm warning you right now.
Please don't ever try it yourselves.
You can get hurt very badly.
New products?
Hello?
You want to see under the leg and behind it?
Excuse me?
Yeah!
Boom.
Look at that, folks.
This is what you call hot, toasted buns.
And to finish it off.
I will throw these fire torches with a lot of hair.
One wrong move, goes bald.
Thank you, Billy. Thank you.
Now for the full effect.
You can turn around so you can see.
Here we go, folks. Check it out.
Yeah!
