The government is allocating an additional 3.5 billion kronor for healthcare in this year's budget
The main focus is on reducing waiting lists through national care
coordination and a lot of money is going to eating disorder care
Something that has been deprioritized in many parts of the country
It's about creating economic incentives to actually provide care
Today there are economic incentives that make it profitable to put patients on hold
Oh well then we can't have that We need to counter with incentives and money to actually provide care
The government is allocating one billion kronor for women's health in the budget
The goal is for women regardless of where they live in the country to receive timely care
More research is definitely needed on the diseases that mainly affect wome
and conditions that may be natural but affect women throughout their lives
This is not just a matter of research This is very much about something else
Knowledge is available in one region or at a health center
one side of a county border but not on the other side
But that's where we can make a big difference quite quickly by having the regions actually take responsibility
To say that if a woman suffers from migraines or lipid disorders or endometriosis or pelvic floor issues during her life
Then she will get her care and it will not be worse because she lives on the wrong side of the county boundary
Even significant investments are made in mental health care in the budget with particular emphasis on eating disorder treatment
One hundred million kronor is allocated to ensure more people receive earlier interventions and timely care
This is indeed a continued development of the government's work on eating disorder care
Oh it's meant to be an important addition now for children and young people
People with eating disorders should receive timely care
Health care queues will also be reduced by 2.2 billion kronor in the budget
A part of the initiative goes to the national nursing agency which will make it possible for patients
To receive care in another region when the queues are long at home
Well it's partly because we assign tasks to the regions to carry out certain specific operations
That is where you get paid especially for it
Then we have the national care agency that we work with
So Sweden must start thinking as a team the regions must start thinking as a team
Where we collaborate to provide assistance for operations and the care that is requested
It hasn't worked for many many years in Sweden
And that's a big problem
