There was an election in Norway and the left bloc emerged victorious
What can be said about this election
The first thing that can be said is that there are indeed two possibilities
If one runs as a coalition that has the right country for four years
There is then the possibility of losing the voters' trust
That is probably quite likely
It is possible to continue
If one can continue it may have to do with having done the right things
e questions or else they have been handled in such a way that voters desire a
continuation and in this case Jönskar Störe has been very
Popular prime minister and he got a slight
decline of 3.8 percent as many ruling parties
The Medan Center Party which he ruled with got the worst election result
A sedan from 1920 with a decline of about 9 percent
What does this mean for the composition of the new government in Norway
It actually means two things
If he is striving for a majority government
Blocket became so large if we include all the left-wing parties on the fringes
They could have up to 91 seats out of 169 said the Green Party
Assessors do not believe that is the case today
Probably without them thinking that a minority government with support from one party would be possible
The number of parties is such that the Center Party is somehow
also part of this equation even though it has lost a lot
It is probably likely that one would continue
One raises the same questions while if were to have all these 91 mandates then
We would have major ideological differences in such a government
So it's considered quite unlikely in this context
The party compositions and partial alliances look a bit different in Norway
Left-wing parties that came below the parliamentary threshold
but still get seats belong to the right-wing block in Norway
You can certainly explain that
It's actually a historical explanation that goes back to the time when
Liberalism took root alongside the increased democratization and that era
The city was to distance itself from the conservative and bourgeois
parties It was then a liberal party but did not call itself that
The liberal party which called itself the left and the name remains
If we are to go to the opposing socialist
left then this is a pure socialist party
On the right the right wing has also made a very
poor choice while the Left Party has more than doubled
What is it due to
I would say that it is actually the same phenomenon as the AfD in Germany now
as made a fantastic effort in the traditionally strongly social democratic
marked state districts of Norrstrand in Westphalia which made this possible
The region has always been traditionally social democratic
For some reason they seem to be winning not only in Italy
Risks of the same happening in France and both in Sweden and Finland
There has been strong support for these extreme parties
How similar is the Norwegian Progress Party to the Swedish Sweden Democrats
There are similarities
One could almost say that
both parties are in a way strongly right-wing
People are concerned about individual civil rights
People are against immigration and they
They are trying to stand up for traditional values both in Norway and in Sweden
So they are quite similar
It is well known that the Social Democrats in Finland are a party that is certainly
How very different it is when compared to
Norway's Progress Party and the Swedish one
Yes exactly
There has been a lot of Swedish gang violence in Norway
There has been talk about Swedish gang criminals beginning to be deported from Norway
Did the success of the Far-Right Party have
any impact Do you know anything about it
They know it they know it because all these populist parties always try to
bring up the issue of law and order and that you shouldn't be allowed to be
Afterward One must be cautious with this type of grid
Gang violence especially that imported which in many cases comes from Sweden
It is actually similar in AfD
So that one is critical of immigration
One can see a clear link between immigration and imported crime
The right performed historically poorly
The Progressive Party performed historically well
In Sweden we see that the Moderate Party is losing ground
in opinion polls while the Sweden Democrats are doing well
Do you see any parallels here and are there any conclusions that can be drawn
There is no doubt about it
It is indeed a quite strong high wind that is blowing through many of the EU countries
We have countries like Poland
We have countries like Hungary that have long had a strong foundation
It has a lot to do with the natural liberation from the Soviet Union
The pressure that actually only lies three decades back in time
So it can explain their choice
Today there is an increased polarization in all these countries
But one cannot say that in Norway
The left in Norway would have made a very strong advance
On the contrary one could say that red has gained 3.1
The left-wing socialists have lost equally or 2.8
So we have not seen it leading to any kind of polarization
It seems the Social Democratic Party has taken quite a strong position and if they have
Additionally a good prime minister who has pushed the right issues
That was also a strong support for Ukraine in this case
There is every chance that one will be able to continue
Men who say that one must continue with a good political program
It is not enough to simply list a number of campaign promises and state them
That we have fulfilled all these promises that we have made
Without a man there must also be a strong foundation for problems and important areas in the future
Here we have quite a lot regarding oil policy that one has to get hold of
It is well known that Norway should not overvalue its oil production
Because that's something the Green Party if it is to be a supporting party cannot accept
The climate policies that have been pursued but not to the extent that the Green Party and the Left Party have
The party is therefore Red as they would like the environmental policy that has been pursued in Norway
And then there is the relationship with the EU which is referred to as the EC in this case
The European Community since one is not a member
And that is also a distinguishing factor
So what have the Norwegian Social Democrats the Employers' Party done right
How much might they be forced to change their policy considering the election results
I don't think they will change it that much
The question is whether the Center Party dares to go forward despite such a big election loss
It is often the non-dominant party that absorbs the election losses
For somewhere voters are still not always 100 percent satisfied
It could be said that Norway is relatively problem-free It has
a large oil fund It has very few problems with crime so far
There is relatively strong growth in a situation where no European country actually has strong growth
So the problem is few and it's just a matter of sitting still in the boat more or less to get a bigger one
It's election year in Sweden What do you think and what do you believe Swedish parties should learn from the Norwegian election
It's exactly what we started with It's not enough to meet a few elections
It is about grasping the problems that exist and must be addressed more urgently if renewed trust is to be achieved
It is in this case a civilian government A lot has been done correctly
The problem in Sweden is that everything you do all the results that are presented
So Magdalena Andersson always goes in and says that this is exactly our line
So that this thing about stealing the other side's issues it's something people are very sensitive about on the left in Sweden
One might also think that it is inherent to the nature of the matter that elections should reflect public opinion
It's often like the business cycle First there's a recession and then it eventually turns into a boom that passes
So it's a kind of wave and it's also a sign of a functioning democracy
People vote differently when they think about things
Men Sweden has far more problems than Norway does and at the same time there is an election in Finland
We also have a government there but in this case the Finns are part of the government
which the Sweden Democrats do not do in an early agreement
One isn't even clear on whether one should sit in the same government if one is to run as a block in the election
So you can see that there has been a big discussion especially within the Liberal Party
Should they be allowed to sit in the government or shouldn't they
In Finland one could say that the social democrats have been in power and there have been major ideological debates
They are in different positions on various issues
It seems like this block would hold together even with liberal parties such as the Swedish People's Party
So it's very hard to say which way the wind is blowing
I would think that against expectations one might make some progress in resolving the Gaza conflict
Would it be possible to go a bit further regarding a potential peace treaty in Ukraine
It would probably be up to the victory I think for these two bourgeois coalitions in Sweden and Finland
If this situation continues I think the polarization in Sweden will deepen further
Then one might ask we have not seen the alternative that Magdalena Andersson wants to go to the election with
Even if the Center Party might be inclined to join
The Green Party has been part of many governments and there's no reason to think they wouldn't be part of this one
The big issue is obviously the Left Party which says in advance that if they don't get into the governme
So they will not support such a government even if it is socialist
This is how we have a problem with how to be able to get a common government program
I think it's pretty much the same in Finland that it's about agreeing on the program
We can also say that Germany France Italy and Denmark have managed to have large coalitions
There are coalition governments or non-party governments during times of great international unrest
That is why they try to form governments that in some way have a very strong majority
I have seen speculation in some places that for the first time ever they are considering
Social Democrats and Moderates would form a government
Because there are many issues they agree on
Then maybe one could avoid this link to the Left Party where there are major internal problems
And there you can't be completely sure you're pulling in the same direction
That makes it perhaps difficult for the Green Party to enter such a government
I think in this case anything is possible
I don't think people might yet see the time as ripe for a
so-called grand coalition like that of Germany and Denmark
The Left Party has said that it wants to be in the government otherwise it will be in opposition
The Sweden Democrats have said the same thing
What are the chances that the Social Democrats and the Moderates will come closer to each other at this point
I think this opportunity is greater than for a long time
I base this simply on the rhetoric they use among themselves
It's quite polite to say the least when they greet each other
They attack other parties but not each other to the extent that people have become accustomed to them doing
Critics of the government are criticizing the government's approach
It's not so much that it's a bloody attack on Kristersson
Well that could mean someone has something in their back pocket
Same goes for Kristersson He is very polite towards Magdalena Andersson
Men what is said is other people's and my speculations It doesn't have to be like that
It could be a way to avoid the Left Party and the Sweden Democrats
