Adapter Up! SpaceX Ready for Starship Flight 11 Final Test in A Few Days, But Launch Schedule…
SpaceX is truly stepping up its pace after the success of Flight 10. Following the booster test, the company now appears ready to move forward with the Ship test, which will serve as the final milestone before Flight 11.
However, despite this impressive speed, Flight 11 is not expected to launch this month, even though many had hoped it would.
So, how exactly is SpaceX preparing for the Ship test and the upcoming mission? And why will Flight 11 be delayed beyond this month?
Let us find out on today’s episode of Great SpaceX.

Now that we are about two to three weeks past the milestone of Flight 10, SpaceX has already moved into its next phase of preparations. The company has successfully completed the Super Heavy test, and the next major step in the process is the Ship test.
Preparations for this began immediately after Booster 15 was returned to the Production Site. On the afternoon of September 8, the Ship Quick Disconnect framework, which supports the connection of the fuel line from the launch pad to the vehicle, was transported from Sanchez to the Launch Pad. By that evening, it had already been installed on the Orbital Launch Mount’s Booster QD, which had been tested with Ship 37 during Flight 10.
The following day, September 9, SpaceX removed the hold-down clamp arm from the OLM. Then, on September 10, the ringwall stand, also known as the testing adapter, was delivered and quickly lifted into place on the OLM. With these steps complete, everything is now in position for the next Ship test. Although the official road closure schedule has not yet been released, it will likely be announced soon, depending on when Ship 38 is ready to roll to the pad.

These rapid preparations clearly demonstrate an acceleration in SpaceX’s work. In just two weeks after Flight 10, major steps have already been accomplished. Several factors have made this possible. First, Flight 10 was a major success, with minimal damage to the launch pad and supporting systems. Second, the hardware for Flight 11 has long been in preparation. Ship 38 has already completed cryogenic testing, and Booster 15 is being reused. Third, SpaceX had pre-installed the hardware needed for the Ship test pad, so the process has been far smoother. And finally, the booster test itself was successful, causing no significant issues. All of these elements combined have allowed SpaceX to move forward at a much faster pace than in previous campaigns.
