Because it's Friday and it's time for another edition of Friday's Finds. All you background watchers are going, "Hey, what's that?" That's like a damn. It is because we're on location. We have traveled four hours five hours west. We're at the kind of in the center of Texas, Coleman County, about four miles from Coleman, Texas. We are on Horses Creek Lake. We're here for a week hanging out. This coming Saturday is Buzzard Days. D- A Ze that's that's one of my that's that's my annual middle of the hot part of summer gathering. So we're here for the week and we're going to be doing it's Friday and it's time for another edition of Friday's finds have five products that are they are well suited to this location. I've actually been holding on to these for several weeks because I wanted to shoot a Friday's finds while I'm here. Ain't this just beautiful? Beautiful live oak trees. We're going to do an unboxing here, and then we're going to play with some stuff. Let's open some boxes. We'll just start opening. This is on top. Don't know this the vendor. Uh, it was probably in It's a fishing tool kit. I can tell you that much. I don't know where my little gift my little tag is. Of course, all these items all of these items are available on Amazon. So, that's like really handy for the kayak. All of this will be really handy for the kayak. And for the other stuff, I like that we can although that won't that won't fit my belt, but I can attach that to the to my gear. Okay, fishing kit to be deployed. Next, let's open another box. This is a smart army surge protector. When this when they reached out to me about this, I'm like, "Yeah, man. I worked on with so many RV surge protectors." Is if if you're camping, if you have an RV, hold on. So, if you own an RV of any kind, I own a super sink, Trudy Thunder. You have lots of equipment inside. Yeah. Battery maintainers, chargers, air conditioners, refrigerators, hot water heaters, and all of those things now have microchips in them. Lots of chips. They are expensive. For example, if you have a two-way or a three-way propane refrigerator, the the replacement board, the control board cost almost as much as a whole new refrigerator. And those evaporative refrigerators cost twice as much as a residential. So, you're almost $2,000 thereabouts. Don't quote me on that. But they're expensive. Save yourself some headache. And always always always make sure you're plugging in with a surge protector because one little spike from a lightning or something like that and and you've got you've got problems that got to be fixed and they're expensive to fix. So spend a spend a 100 bucks and get a surge protector and protect your investment. Now what makes me excited about this one? Hold on. I got let me let me deploy my my my stand here. So, what makes this one truly unique? Number one, it's smart. So, you can be dumb and this is going to protect you. But when you plug it in, it's got a circuit detection system. So, it'll tell you if it's good. You have all three lights. If there's an issue, then you start decoding what the problem is. The simple thing is if you're in the public campground or a private campground, any place other than your own house, you need to plug this in before you plug your RV in. And if there's an issue, don't plug your RV in. And what excites me about this one, what excites me about the VIP 2 VIP 2 surge protector is if you have a spike and this actually has to do its job, you don't have to buy a whole new system. You can replace the surge module. First time I've seen that. That's revolutionary. That's a game changer. So, I'm currently running with a surge protector and it and I and and I discovered after the last rainstorm that I have water getting in it. That's not a good thing. So, I'm going to replace it right here and right now. When you're up plugging in your coach, don't just plug it in. Make sure you test the circuit first and then power off the pedestal. Power off. Always power off before you do anything. It's better on your equipment and it's better on their equipment. So, now we're going to test it. And we are all green. So we have power on. That's a good thing. Now, so we're going to we're going to power that off now. And then we can plug in the coach. And now we turn it back on. And I I like that this one's a little bit short because sometimes some of these pedestals are like right on the ground and I think that's how the other one got water in it cuz it was on a pedestal that was like right there. Uh I like that these include that this includes a way to lock it. That way you don't have to worry about anybody walking off with your your surge protector. I think it's time to open another box. Oh, that's a nice compact little setup there. Antenna rotation limitation. Okay. And then we have a solar panel to power it. We have straps and we have mounting hardware for the solar panel and for the camera comes with a screwdriver and with the SIM card is built in. Not a Yep. The SIM card is already built in, but we can put a a micro SD card in there. Also, I'm going to have to go get some some feed of some kind to attract some animals. So, let me get these all set up, get the app in place, and we will I'll see if I can capture some animal footage. The app is is very simple to use. Now, these are cellular cameras, so you'll need to purchase cellular data. Not sure how much it it includes. I've got both cameras setup. I'm really liking this is very simple to work with. So, you you have to name each camera. So, I went with Billy and Wall-E. I don't know. Seemed like a good idea at that time. Maybe Billy doesn't have connection. All right, let me try putting Billy in a different place. Let's open another box. This one's going to be fun. If you're if you like fishing, this is this is this is interesting.
