Peter Ebertz chair of ISHR Welcome
Thank you for that
What is ISHR What do you do
ISHR stands for the International Society for Human Rights
We are the Swedish part of a large organization that has different groups around the world
Most people probably deal with their own problems at home
An example is Cuba where they have it tough
We focus on what is happening in China
Human rights are what this is about
We have been working on this for a long time
At first we mainly tried to focus on helping those in China to get a voice that people outside of China can also hear
We have also noticed recently that we need to inform about what China or rather the Chinese Communist Party is doing outside of China
It affects human rights around the world
The job has increased one could say
The Chinese Communist Party has been criticized for a long time for not upholding human rights
The top meeting in China this week heard that one can live up to 150 years old
Understand the risks of organ transplantation and today's transplantation techniques
Where do these organs come from in China
We have long known that forced organ theft is taking place what we call societal prisoners
So people who are arrested without actually breaking any law
It includes a variety of different groups such as Uyghurs house Christians Tibetans and Falun Gong
Studies show that Falun Gong practitioners are most severely affected in cases of organ theft
So this statement becomes a bit exciting in this context
This has long been criticized Many people have claimed that organ theft does not occur
What evidence is there that it's like this
Many pieces of evidence have emerged One might be talking about looking for a smoking gun
It's a bit hard for someone who is dead to testify about what has happened
But even if one ignores the very evidence itself there is irrefutable evidence that this is happening on a large scale
I can mention something that happened not too long ago It was about a few months
It was a medical student who wanted to talk about organ trafficking and he accidentally fell out of a window
How little the people in dictatorships realize what is happening around them when they become slightly uncomfortable
Han had gathered a lot of data that he wanted to reveal and it's possible that this data will come to light eventually
This is an indication that this is happening right now and on a large scale
This is what we heard the statement For us who are familiar with organ trafficking it's nothing new at all
What's a bit interesting is that this faceless recording is confirmation that organ thefts are still happening
As a confirmation of high level actually When President Xi himself uses the words one can reach 150 years of age
Now you immediately understand that this is nothing you do with a simple transplant
This is something that is ongoing in an attempt to keep someone alive for a long time
This indicates that there is unlimited access to organs to make something like this work
We all know that around the world people have to wait for organs for maybe years
An independent group of investigators found out in 2019 that this is happening
He also addressed the UN Human Rights Council
The USA has enacted legislation to protect conscientious objectors from China and those who have fallen into the practice of torture
How does the international community view this and how are they reacting globally
We have talked about this for 20 years and as we see now in America they have made some progress
There's a law being drafted with teeth
This law makes it possible to reach the criminals
One can punish them if they leave China
One can seize their assets deny them visas and so on
We hope something similar will happen all around the world
Some countries have enacted laws that ensure people from that country are not allowed to enter
They can go to China as a tourist and get a transplant
But it's a bit slow
I EU we came up with a proposal called the Santiago Convention
We received it and prepared it as early as 2018 in Sweden
It's a European law one could say
It's up to each country to adopt it or not
There are a few different points that can be assumed not entirely but partially
Men in 2018 they started preparing for this in Sweden to see how we would handle this law
They made preparations to adopt it
It turned out that there wasn't much in our
team that we needed to change So that was good
Then one thinks it should be simple
What also became clear was that someone needed to handle it
Then partly because of this what I believe is called the National Donation Center was created
It is part of the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare
They would then be responsible for informing the public about what is happening
I have spoken with them and asked why it takes so long to come up with this and ratify it
It's been a long time since 2018
At first the answer was that it was covid that came in between and it has slowed everything down
It has now ended up on another official's desk to be prepared so it can be ratified
She says that this person has a lot to do
I haven't checked what's happened during the vacation but I don't think much has occurred
He is close to him
It's actually more of a technicality that we need to carry it out
It's strange that it's moving so slowly
Especially in such an important matter
We are actually responsible for the fact that Swedes don't go there and commit this crime
Perhaps partially unconscious
So it is up to us to inform the public about what is happening
We absolutely also have a moral obligation to make sure it is stopped in China
I hope we can create a team that is stronger with more teeth and resembles this one we call the Falun Gong Protection Act
Some have recently gone through the Senate in America
You talk about Christians you talk about idolaters you talk about Tibetans you talk about fallen Gongfu practitioners
Do you have any idea how widespread this is
Yes many studies have been done and it's also the case that you can partially see what hospitals themselves do for advertising on the web
Many hours have been spent on investigations
It has been determined that the number is in the range of 60 000 to 100 000 transplants per year of trapped organs
Then one can simply conclude that those who the organs come from have to give up their lives entirely
She was forced into this
So it's on a large scale and it's a fantastic amount of money in circulation
We know that many hospitals have since the beginning of the gong cases in 1999 expanded their capabilities for organ transplantation
I think in 1999 there may have been around 20 hospitals doing it and now there are hundreds over 500 at least
I recently heard that they are also looking into building new hospitals for this purpose
To handle the oddities in the Tjimjaman and so on
We are currently doing it and we are somewhat aware of it but we just don't really get involved
I can actually say something I read yesterday
The Swedish Institute actually has a unit called the National Center for Knowledge on China
They came out with a text they call a knowledge support for China for Swedish actors
Oh there's quite interesting something in the text that highlights what they call ethical dumping
They are pointing to research collaborations with China
The risks are indeed significant there and it's because China has different ethical guidelines than Sweden
For example medical research and biotechnology
The research can be conducted in China by companies
So it's something that is being highlighted right now
So some are aware but not much is happening
This is the Institute for Foreign Affairs
Man appreciates that there are about a million imprisoned Uyghurs in China
The Communist Party acts this way towards very many ethnic groups
What does this device look like What is it used for
Yes it's people they can control
They are usually recorded somewhere
Then they medically test them and keep their data in a database
So that you can make a match to see if their organs fit anywhere
In recent times we have also received reports where authorities have entered
The predecessor's home and taken medical tests
So it seems to be expanding in some way Absolutely
How common is it foreigners to come to China to get organs due to social issues
It's a great question which is obviously very hard to answer
I've already spoken with doctors here in Sweden and also with those who handle these issues
Oh it's just that if you've received an organ for example in China and come back
There is a high chance that one will have to come in for tests and follow-up care
Doctors have a duty of confidentiality so it cannot be reported
We don't know for sure Doctors can report a bruise if they say that
I'm thinking of going to China and getting an organ That's a different matter
That is why it is very hard to know the extent of it
Men we've heard from doctors unofficially of course since they can'
She said today that it is ongoing We also know that it is but we can't say if it's directly in Sweden
we have heard about other places in Europe where people get their insurance to cover
These organs can be sent to China and have them done and transplanted
You can also make it look like the costs are coming from a European country
We don't know much about the spread of Europeans We have indications that there are many
From the Arab world that retrieves organs and perhaps it could also be more urge
Some people suffer due to other circumstances in their religion
Why do hospitals in China do that
It's actually like this you have to look at it we know that for a long time the party leadership has been
It has been renewed in every possible way with organs and blood transfusions It has been ongoing for more than 20 years
We have our own studies and data on organ trafficking dating back 20 years
It became clear when the persecution of the Falun Gong began in 1999 leading to a significant increase
With the development of organ transplantation hospitals built new wings intended for this purpose
Why exactly Then you might want to look into why the persecution was initiated during the fall round
Short a fallacy is something non-political and they work with such leading terms as
Truth goodness patience and it's only beneficial for society
They actually realized in China before it became persecuted that this was good for society
It was actually visible that hospital costs had dropped so much that they even encouraged it on television
It was good for society to go out and train for the fall
Since 1999 things took a different turn and at that time Jiang Zemin was the leader
He simply thought he was afraid of the large number of people who were doing the obstacle course
But it threatened his position of power We are talking here about maybe 60 to 80 or 100 million people who exerted that
I also think they were after him because he wasn't a charismatic or popular person himself
But the one who founded the fall-through was really a charismatic leader
Han issued an order to erase the false trail as soon as possible
That's how you would do it by destroying their reputation economically destroying them and physically destroying them
This is done by killing them and taking their organs
I think this has continued on its own in a way because it is a significant economic asset
Some in the Chinese leadership the Communist Party are very afraid of not controlling their people
Fallomgång is something that has roots in ancient Chinese culture
As we have seen we naturally follow these old principles which are high morality truth goodness and patience
It doesn't work at all with the Chinese Communist Party's way of handling the population
They will suddenly eliminate the old culture because that is a way to control them and brainwash them which we can see now
I've been thinking about this for a long time how can a doctor or medical staff do this commit murder and take the organ
People think it seems completely inhuman but some of them are so brainwashed that they see it as doing a good deed in some strange way
It's unimaginable but it's precisely this brainwashing and the total control that the Communist Party has over its people that makes it possible
Therefore one could also say that a fallacy is a big thorn in the side of the Communist Party
It stands for old traditional values that are directly opposite to the Chinese Communist Party which in my eyes is the world's largest mafia
It has been Chinese doctors who have come forward and spoken about this what are they saying and what response do they get
Yes there have been some who have done it for the sake of their conscience absolutely that's the case
They are just confirming what has happened so it is evidence and those who have come forward also indicate that there are incredible amounts involved
This makes sense it's basically a distribution chain with many links that make money from this one could say
The military is obviously involved in order for this to succeed so it is spread throughout many parts of Chinese society
What are the amounts we're talking about Many people make money from this how much do organs cost in China
I don't have the latest price list but it's in the range of a bit over a million maybe a million and a half for a heart and then maybe it goes down a bit
But if people want it extra fast maybe they have to pay a bit more and hospitals can just give guarantees that it will work so it might mean that more organs are needed
If they get knocked off the next ones are taken and killed on the assembly line
There is something that is incomprehensible to our way of thinking but I still believe that part of the medical establishment around the world is aware that something like this is happening
If you look at medical publications coming from China and so on there are some experiments and things that one can draw conclusions from which were conducted in a totally unethical way that we wouldn't do
Then I refer to this as well which we said that the National Center for Knowledge on China will point out that they have completely different ethical rules in China
You say there is a bill from 2018 there are laws in the US What would you like to see happen here in Sweden in Europe and globally
We are trying together with others who work here to come up with a bill that is similar to the one the Senate has passed in America
This puts pressure on the criminals when they go abroad and also prevents people from going on organ tourism
We need a bit more courage and of course we all need to gain confidence and do this even if it might be uncomfortable when thinking about other relations with China
Morally speaking we don't have any other choice we just have to do it We can't all be accomplices to what's happening
Here in Sweden it is the National Board of Health and Welfare that is responsible for the procurement of organs and how they are handled in Sweden
I want them to go out and explain to everyone what is happening and what the risks are of receiving organs from China It's a good starting point
