Are you tired of feeling defeated by the enemy or overwhelmed by sickness? In this teaching, you’ll discover 5 powerful biblical keys to walk in the authority Christ has already given you. Learn how to resist Satan, stand strong in faith, and experience the healing and victory God intends for you!
As believers in Christ, we are not victims. We are actually masters over Satan and over sickness.
But sadly, so few Christians really realize that they're masters over Satan. Instead of ruling over
sickness and Satan, Satan is ruling over them. You know, this ought not to be for a believer in
Christ. We need to know this, that when Satan looks at a child of God, he actually sees Jesus himself.
And I'm convinced of this, that he also sees what you see about yourself.
You know, he can see what we believe about ourselves through our words and through our
actions. And so what he notices about you is either going to give him an open door to attack
your life, or he's going to see a no entrance here sign. You know, to walk in victory, we really have
to first know who we really are. And if you don't know your identity, the devil is going to create
an identity for you. I want to look at Ephesians chapter two in verse six, and it says this,
that God has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Now, this is not a metaphor, as so many have thought. This is actually our spiritual position
in Christ. Now let's look at another scripture from Ephesians. In Ephesians chapter one,
it says we are seated with Christ far above all principality and power and might and dominion
and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.
And that includes Satan and sickness. Aren't you glad we've been made to sit far above him?
Glory to God. We are masters of Satan. Now in Colossians chapter one in verse 13, it says this,
the father has delivered and drawn us to himself out of the control in the dominion of darkness,
and he's transferred us into the kingdom of the son of his love. So we see from this verse that
we are already transferred. We're not trying to get free from Satan's rule and hold on our lives.
We've already been made free. Now it's time to walk in it. We also see this, the words of Jesus
in Luke chapter 10 in verse 19. And I love this scripture. He said, I have given you authority
to trample on snakes. One translation says serpents and scorpions and to overcome all
the power of the enemy. I love that word all because that means everything's included.
So we've been given authority to overcome all the power of the enemy and nothing will harm you.
You know, just meditating on that one verse alone can put you over in life. This means Satan doesn't
have the power over the believer any longer unless we surrender that to him. And it can
be surrendered through fear, through sin, or just flat ignorance, not knowing what belongs to us.
You know, think about a police officer for a moment. They don't look all that powerful,
really in the natural, but because they have a badge of authority that they wear,
people respect their authority. That badge gives them the right to act on behalf of their government.
Well, we as believers also carry a spiritual badge and that badge is the name of Jesus.
And when you hold up that badge and you say, stop in the name of Jesus,
Satan has to recognize that authority and he has to bow the knee to that.
Now in Philippians chapter 2 and verse 10, it tells us that the name of Jesus,
every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth. So we see the power of that name
in this verse alone. That includes everything Satan represents. It has to bow its knee to the
name of Jesus. And that especially includes sickness and disease if that's what you're
facing today. You know, when we speak the name of Jesus, that authority causes all of hell to
stand up and take notice. Now that phrase, all the power of the enemy, sickness is included in that.
You have to know that today, if you're suffering from a disease, a pain, a terminal diagnosis,
that it's not too difficult for the name and the authority of Jesus Christ.
You know, Jesus didn't just die for our sins. He also bore all of our sicknesses and diseases.
In Matthew 8, 17, it says he himself took our infirmities and he bore our sicknesses. Now,
because Jesus already paid the price for our healing, we can boldly claim that we are healed
in his name. Another scripture that shows us our authority is Mark chapter 16 and verses 17 and 18.
I'll tell you what, you have to be a believer. You have to believe in these signs. He says they
will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. You know, not only can you lay hands on other
people, but you could even lay hands on yourself because you're a believer, you have hands,
and according to the scripture, you will recover. So we have authority to speak healing in the name
of Jesus, not only over our own bodies, but over our children. We have authority to speak the name
of Jesus over negative circumstances. Sickness is an intruder. It's not a blessing. It's not a
punishment. It's not even a teacher. Some people think, oh, God's just trying to teach me something
through this sickness and disease. You have the right to evict sickness because you've been given
the badge of authority through the name of Jesus. And I would encourage you to use that authority
today. Now you might be thinking this, if I have all of this authority, why am I still struggling
with sickness and disease or just any type of attack from Satan for that matter? Well, that's a
great question. And here's the truth. Exercise your authority. If you don't exercise your authority,
the devil will just plop all over you with all of the things he has to offer. You know, just like a
police officer, if he doesn't have his badge on that day, he's not backed by authority. A criminal may not
pay any respect or any attention to an officer who's not in uniform or who's not wearing a badge.
In the same way, if you're not using your authority, if you're not using the name of Jesus,
if you're not boldly declaring who you are in Christ and that you have all authority over him,
the devil is going to try to take advantage of you. Now, another thing we see in James chapter
four and verse seven, it says, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Now, many believers like the part that says he's going to flee, but they forget about the submission
and the resistance part of that verse. You know, we have to stand our ground while we're on this
planet. Satan doesn't give anybody a free pass. You've heard me say that so many times. And we
can't fight spiritual battles with natural weapons. We overcome Satan and sickness by speaking
God's word, by standing in faith, by walking in holiness, and by refusing to bow the knee to fear
or anything that Satan threatens you with. And remember this, nobody's been promised a life
without resistance on earth. There is resistance, but we are promised victory over all of it.
So how do we walk in mastery over Satan on a daily basis? I have five points I want to give you.
First of all, know the word of God. Hosea chapter four and verse six says, my people are destroyed
for a lack of knowledge. That tells us don't wait for Sunday to get to church to learn about God.
We have to know the promises of God and we find those by spending time every day studying and
meditating in God's word. Number two, speak the word of God. Proverbs 18.21 says, death and life
are in the power of the tongue. So start speaking healing and not defeat. Start speaking victory
and not failure and watch and see if that doesn't start to change. Number three, we have to live in
obedience. You know, authority always flows through submission. A police officer only has authority
because he's submitted to a higher authority. In the same way, our authority works when we're
fully submitted to God. And the best way that I know how to submit to God is just obey his word.
Obey what he says. Number four, pray with boldness. Don't beg God for things. You're not a beggar.
You're a victor. You're more than a conqueror. When God looks at you, he sees Jesus. He sees you
seated with Christ in heavenly places. You're not pathetic. You're victorious. You're a son. You're a
daughter. You need to learn to speak with faith and pray with expectation. And number five, stand your
ground. Ephesians chapter six says that after you've done all you know to do, stand therefore.
That's sometimes a tall order for people, but when you've done everything you know to do,
refuse to quit. Continue to stand. That means even when things get hard, you don't give up.
And I have a secret for you. It's when things get hard and you refuse to quit that your authority
really kicks in. You know, anybody can stand their ground when it's easy and there's not much
opposition. But it's when the trial becomes difficult and when sometimes things are delayed,
the devil is going to test you to see what you really believe about it. But when you stand your
ground and you refuse to cave in, you're going to see the power of God come in and rescue you in
that situation. So I challenge you today. Stop accepting what Jesus has already defeated for you.
Stop accepting sickness. Stop accepting failure. Stop accepting lack in your life. Don't tolerate
what you're meant to trample on. No, rise up in faith. Speak to your mountain. Rebuke that sickness.
Rebuke that negative circumstance in the name of Jesus, and you will see things turn around.
Remember, you're not a victim. You're a master of Satan, and God wants us to start acting like we
are today. Now I thank you today for joining me. If you were blessed by this message, please remember
