A Relaxing Day in Jiaoxi and Wai’ao Beach in Yilan County 🇹🇼 / Nishi V

We spent two nights in the non-touristy town of Jiaoxi, bathed in the hot springs it is famed for and visited Wai'ao Beach, also known as Touchang Beach. This is one of the few swimmable beaches on the east coast of Taiwan. This black sand has picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean and Turtle Island in the distance, and although it was busy when we visited, it was very clean and didn't feel crowded at all.
