Motorcycle Road Trip Over the Snowy Mountains to Bend, Oregon to Visit ‪@GiantLoopMoto‬

It's finally spring and the snow has melted in the mountains enough to allow for some awesome motorcycle travel up and over the Santiam Pass to Bend, Oregon. On this trip, my buddy and I pack up our Honda Africa Twins (his first real trip on his new Adventure Sports model) and head up to visit the Giant Loop world headquarters for their annual garage sale! This long motorcycle trip is the farthest I've ever ridden from home on my bike. Not the world-spanning motorcycle road trip some others have gone on, but I'm happy to keep expanding my horizons and get in my first real adventure motorcycle touring experience. Everything went fantastically and I can't wait to get out and do it again and go even farther and longer next time. On our way over, we stopped off at Boneyard Beer in Bend for some "crowlers" filled with delicious local microbrew, then we headed back to the hotel room to enjoy them with some pizza. When we arrived at Giant Loop in Bend, we got to visit with the whole crew and get a behind the scenes tour before spending some time talking to Harold, the owner of Giant Loop, about the sale and the upcoming Giant Loop Ride in June! Afterward, we got some tacos at a local spot and set out to find a backroad to get in some Africa Twin off road riding. All in all, it was a fantastic adventure motorcycle tour of Central Oregon and I can't wait to get back over there again.
