Domestic Critical Minerals and Materials Supply Chains Workshop

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) convened stakeholders from industry, national labs, and academia for a Domestic Critical Minerals and Materials Supply Chains Workshop. This discussion underscored the role of critical minerals and materials to achieving energy dominance and elucidated DOE’s strategies and programming to secure critical minerals and materials supply chains for America’s energy, national, and economic security. The workshop featured speakers from DOE leadership as well as several DOE offices funding critical minerals and materials programs and highlighted exemplary projects that are advancing domestic industry. The meeting concluded with an opportunity to provide input on a series of questions to help DOE understand the needs, challenges, and opportunities facing the critical minerals and materials sector.
