Hey guys, welcome back!
So today I'm going to be doing a full face of first impressions from the drugstore or
affordable products.
I think there's only one product in here that is affordable and not at the drugstore.
Also, this look is going to be inspired by some looks that I've seen on the Fenty Beauty
social media and I have been loving them.
So if you guys want to see how to create this look and see how some new products perform,
then just keep watching.
Okay guys, so we are going to get started.
Starting off with a primer water.
So this is the new Wet n Wild Photo Focus Primer Water Spray.
If you guys watch my videos, you know that I love the Smashbox primer water and other
primer water sprays.
So this is called Paradise Potion and the packaging is really cute and tropical.
The only thing I did notice is that in the ingredients it says there's alcohol in there,
which I don't know how that's going to be for a primer water, but let's just try it
out.
The sprayer, like, doesn't spray very well.
Like, it kind of just like, I feel like there's like a gap and it definitely kind of smells
a little bit alcohol-y, so I don't know about all of that.
So next up, I've been wanting to try this foundation.
You guys have been asking me to try this out and I finally saw it at a store near me.
So this is the Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Foundation SPF 15.
I picked it up in the shade Honey Beige, which is medium tan.
I noticed that there is not a lot of shades of this.
Same goes for one of my favorite foundations, the Maybelline Dream Cushion.
There isn't really an extensive shade range.
Maybe they'll be expanding it, but I wanted to try this out because I love the lightweight
feeling of the Maybelline Dream Cushion.
It's just one of my favorites for, like, every day and you can also build it up.
So I definitely wanted to try this out.
It says luminous, lightweight, and buildable.
Liquid foundation in a cushion compact.
Oh, it doesn't have a mirror!
I thought that was a mirror.
That is not a mirror, Wet n Wild!
It's supposed to be travel-friendly and then you took away my mirror.
I don't know about that, Wet n Wild.
I don't use the little applicator that comes with it.
I'm just going to use my regular foundation brush.
Yes.
I just...
Hm.
It smells nice.
It's kind of, like, a little summer-y.
Maybe it's, like, the sunscreen in it, but...
Okay, so this reminds me a lot...
of the Maybelline one, in terms of the finish of applying it, which I do really like.
The color seems to be a good match for my body.
I'm pretty tan right now.
This is cheaper than the Maybelline one, by the way.
The Maybelline one, I think, is, like, almost, like, $15 and I think this one was, like,
$8 or so.
I need to bring it down because my neck is so pale.
Ugh.
I just love a cushion foundation.
I just feel like they look so natural and skin-like.
Let me show you.
Like, how good does that look?
I haven't used my Maybelline Dream Cushion in forever, so I kind of forgot how much I
love, like, a cushion foundation, but I feel like it just looks so natural.
I'm loving it.
Okay.
I also do like that there's SPF 15 in there.
I am impressed upon initial application, besides the lack of the mirror, but I could forget
you.
I could look past it.
So then I'm going to go in with concealer.
I'm going to be using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser.
They recently launched a bunch of new shades of this, which I was intrigued to try because
I remember feeling like some of the shades were either, like, too white or just not really
a match for me.
So I have two shades here, but I'm definitely thinking that this one is going to be too
light.
This is sand, and that I don't really like a super white look.
So I'm going to try out Golden.
And I used to use this all the time, like, a long time ago, like, back in, like, the
beginning of my YouTube days.
So I have not used this in forever.
Okay.
Don't do what I'm doing right now.
My brand new, clean beauty blender that I just cleaned is in the bathroom, and I really
don't feel like going and getting it, so I'm using one that is not clean.
So don't judge me.
Don't judge me.
We've all been there.
If I get up and leave now, my lighting will change, and it will be the death of me.
Oh yeah, this shade looks like it'll be a good match.
I'm usually, um, like, medium in concealer is what I like.
I don't like a too white of a look.
I always liked how this applied, though.
Like, with a sponge, you can just put it exactly where you want it, so I always liked that.
So I'm gonna go in with my dirty SBD butter, because I don't feel like getting up.
Sorry.
So that looks good.
I'm happy with the base.
So the next, I have a new setting powder to try.
I saw this at Walmart the other day, and it said new on it, so I picked it up.
So here it is.
It is the Milani Make It Last Translucent Banana Setting Powder.
It says, ultra-fine, translucent loose powder, locks in makeup, non-chalky, advanced formula,
smooths the look of fine lines and imperfections, designed to work on most skin tones.
As you can see, it definitely is, like, a yellow color, which...
We'll see how it goes.
Banana.
It doesn't look chalky or cakey at all.
Very smooth.
I like that it doesn't give me an overall white cast.
The banana is nice.
It's not, like, too white of a banana, you know?
It's a nice and ripe banana.
The next up for the eyes, I'm going to be using this new palette from Maybelline.
It is the Lemonade Craze palette.
It has a lot of fun summery colors, hot pink, yellow, kind of corally colors.
I'm going to start off with the color Sherbert, which is a nice, like, very light nude shade.
So I usually like to take a color like that and put it all over, from the lid to the brow bone, just to add a nice base.
Then I'm going to take a little bit of Sunny's, which is that white color.
I think it's always a struggle to find good drugstore eyeshadow palettes, but I feel like Maybelline is one of the better brands for that, so...
Alright, so then I'm going to go in with Sweet Tea.
And that's going to be our Craze color.
I want to do something a little bit fun, but I'm going to start off with the basics, you know?
So it's blending really nice.
Then I'm going to go in with Coral Punch, which is obviously a coral shade, to add a little bit of pinkiness to the crease.
There is quite a bit of fallout on my palette as I'm working with it, but I feel like that's pretty common with a lot of eyeshadows, not just drugstores.
So that's not something that really bothers me.
As long as I don't have tons of fallout underneath my eyes, I don't really see it as a problem.
I saw this picture of Rihanna on Instagram lately, and I wanted to kind of recreate it.
She has that hot pink in her crease, so I'm going to do a hot pink in my crease.
I'm going in with Ice Pop, just to add a little bit of that hot pink to the outer portion.
So then I'm going to take a little bit of Sugar Coated, which is kind of like a bronzy color, and I'm going to put that on the lid.
Oh, it's kind of like a coppery color, more like it actually.
Very pretty though.
It's pretty, I like that.
Just going back in with Coral Punch to blend it.
For the lower lash, I'm going to do the Coral Punch and the Ice Pop.
This is really blown out, but that's okay.
Then I'm going to do my brows.
I'm going to be trying out this new Tattoo Studio Brow Tint Pen from Maybelline.
It just looks like this, and then the brush looks kind of like those microblading strokes that they do.
So it has this really interesting brush.
I have no idea how to even do this, so I'm just going to wing it because I don't know what I'm doing.
Let's give it a try.
I think the color is good. I'm just going back in with a spoolie.
I feel like if you have thick brows, it's just taking longer.
I felt like my brow hair was getting caught.
I don't think I would really use it again. It just took way too long.
I don't have a new drugstore mascara to try, but I do love this one.
This is the L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara.
I'm just going to go ahead and apply this.
It's very similar to the Too Faced Better Than Sex, which I don't personally like because that one flakes on me so bad.
I don't know why, but this one has a really similar kind of brush, and it's obviously way cheaper.
Now after staring at my face very closely, I feel like that powder does look a little bit dry.
It's either the powder or the concealer making me look a little dry.
I feel like it might be the concealer because I do kind of remember that being a little bit drying.
I don't know. We'll see.
Now I am going to go on to bronzer.
For that, I'm going to be trying out this new bronzer from L'Oreal.
While new to me, I haven't seen it at my store before.
It is the True Match Lumi Bronzet, and I have it in the shade Deep.
There's a little bit of shimmer in there.
I don't know if it's all the way through or just on the top, but I'm going to be trying this out.
The other colors seem like they wouldn't be dark enough, so we'll see.
I'm just hoping this doesn't look too red or muddy.
Okay, that maybe looks a little bit too much.
Now that I'm looking at my forehead, it's like, okay, brown town up there, so we're going to have to make it work.
We will have to make it work.
Yeah, this is definitely a little bit dark, and it's definitely shimmery, so I don't think I really like it.
It's legit. I can see gold shimmer everywhere.
I mean, if you're into that, then cool, but not really into that.
Rosie O'Donnell. Stop barking.
Now moving on to blush, I got these blushes in the mail, and I was super excited to get them.
They're both from Wet n' Wild.
They are the colors Dare to Soar and Hummingbird Hype.
So when I saw these, they instantly reminded me of the new Rihanna highlighters.
I think they're called Sangria Sunset or Mango something.
So I am going to try to recreate that Fenty look with these.
This is going to be really heavy on the blush and kind of where it goes really out into the temples and actually into the eyeshadow a little bit.
So I'm just going to be trying it out.
So if you hate it and think that I should go into the 1980s, I totally get it, and it won't be for everyone.
So I'm going to take Dare to Soar first, and I'm going to bring this back.
Ooh, wow. I like that.
Okay, that's really pretty.
Okay, so I'm going to go pretty heavy with that and bring it all the way back into the temples.
This looks really pretty. I love that it has that magenta fuchsia-y tone to it.
I'm into it.
I kind of did a similar look in my festival makeup when it goes really extreme, but I'm not mad at it.
I'm going to take a little bit of the Hummingbird Hype one, which is more of a coral-y peach.
I'm just going to add that mainly on the temple and then drag that back.
Hmm.
Fenty Look for Less.
So obviously this is not going to be for everyone, but I've been wanting to try this look on myself, so now is the time.
Oh my god, these wet n' wilds are wildin' out.
Tommy watches that show, like, religiously.
I just can't believe that Nick Cannon is still on television. No offense.
I was going to add a highlighter on top of that, but I feel like I don't really need it.
So I'm just going to go back in with that Lemonade palette.
I'm going to take the shade Citrus and I'm going to put that in my inner corner to brighten it up.
It's really pretty. Really pretty.
Just put a little bit of that on the tip of my nose and my upper lip, too.
Then I'm going to do a gloss, but first I'm going to line with this lip liner from Maybelline. It's called Nude.
I'm going to go in with this gloss from e.l.f. It is one of their plumping lip glosses, I believe.
Yeah, a lip plumping gloss in the shade Mocha Twist.
It's like minty.
It's not like tangling or hurting me, though, so that's kind of a downfall in my book because I like the pain.
But I'm going to put this ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip Color over it.
This is called Meat Freak and it's from the Shayla collaboration.
So I'm just going to put this over top.
Oh, that's really pretty.
It's like gold and pink shimmer in there.
Okay, so here is the finished look.
Let me just take a closer look to evaluate it all.
Overall, everything pulled together very well.
I did finish it off with Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray because that's just my holy grail of life.
But I think everything looks really good.
I think the things that I am a little bit skeptical about were the concealer.
I feel like it's just a little bit too drying.
I prefer more of a creamy formulation.
I'll definitely have to play around with the Milani Banana Setting Powder, but it seems like I like it, but I don't think it played well with that concealer in particular.
So I'll have to play with that more.
I'm obsessed with these Wet n Wild blushes.
I think that they are so good.
The pigmentation and everything is just so good.
They don't look chalky.
They just look so, so good.
The primer water from Wet n Wild, I didn't love.
The sprayer, I don't know if I got a defective one, but the sprayer kind of sucked.
And it has alcohol in it and you can kind of smell it.
And alcohol can be drying on the skin also.
So I didn't really like that.
The two lip glosses are very good.
Very glossy and not sticky at all, which is important because you want a glossy gloss, but you don't want a sticky gloss.
The eyeshadows I think performed really well.
I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a drugstore palette that has those kind of colors.
I feel like they perform pretty well for the price point.
The foundation, I really like that.
I'll definitely be using that more in the future.
I love a cushion foundation.
The brow pen from Maybelline, I probably wouldn't use again.
I just feel like it was a lot of work and I didn't really love the end result.
I had to go back in with my regular brow pencil.
So if you have thick brows, I might just skip on it.
Overall, I'm pretty happy.
So thank you guys so much for watching.
I hope you guys enjoyed this Fenty Inspired First Impressions video.
Let me know what you guys think in the comments below.
And yeah, I will see you guys in my next video.
I'm just like such a frickin' Pomeranian.
Like a frickin' sort of doodly dog with this hairstyle.
I can do it.
Like I just feel like, boom.
My queen one.
I'll be out and roll to the depths of the center of the universe.
I swear to you because now I can't find it.
