Henri Regnault was one of the brightest stars of the 19th century. His meteoric rise from a youth was recognized by the Parisian society of the day. His stunning work was easily the talk of the city at its debut in the Salon. General Prim on his rearing Horse and the great Salome were and are stunners as works of art.
