Two Left Party legislators Lorena Delgado-Varas and Daniel Riasat may be expelled from the Left Party
Is this appropriate
Yes I must say based on the Left Party's strategy to try to become part of the red-green government and get a position in the government
They wouldn't have a chance with these two people still in the party
In addition the party is generally quite accused of pro-Palestinian sympathies
Additionally they are banned from the Jewish Central Council
They are no longer allowed to participate in celebrations or remember the Holocaust remembrance day
It's quite serious for a party in the Swedish parliament I think
Lorena Delgado-Varas was expelled for spreading antisemitic images especially antisemitic image on social media
She has also gone through liked comments that are hate speech against Jews and Israel
How big of a problem is this within the left-wing party regarding antisemitism
It's a problem an obvious problem
There are indeed pro-Palestinian demonstrations all over the party as well
There you only see one side and cannot see that Hamas also has a role apart from the massacre
Without also having a role where they use the people as shields and shoot demonstrators protesting against Hamas
Oh there they are shooting people who are getting food
This is indeed a problem within the party and to some extent in Sweden as we have brought the conflict here and one can no longer see both sides
These people are part of a faction within the left-wing party that is very far to the left
What is happening in the left party right now
It's currently an identity crisis
They made an incredible choice and have greatly increased the number of members
There are over 31 000 members which is a lot for a party in Sweden so to speak
Men allt eftersom denna konflikt har pågått och allt eftersom vänsterpartiet inte har tagit tag i dessa
The pro-Palestinian uprising and the hatred towards Jews have made the problem worse
So now they are most popular in the opinion polls and if they want to be part of the government they absolutely have to do something about this
It's unthinkable that they would be chosen to join a red-green government
The Left Party has never been part of a government Why is that
No they have always been a supporting party to the Social Democrats
They were a kind of doormat and have never been big enough for almost anything
The share has been around 4-6% Gudrun Schyman had 12 at her time
They have always been the doormat one could say that has always been trampled by a social democratic government
They have had conflicts but they have never once considered not supporting a social democratic government
It was first with the refugee policy and Löfven when they took a stand and said this could not be done
It's fair to say that otherwise one has been completely loyal
How socially responsible is the Left Party today
I wouldn't rate them very highly in terms of government competence
I don't really know what they could contribute to a red-green government
Because Magdalena Andersson is so incredibly dependent on the Center Party
Centerpartiet doesn't want anything to do with the Left Party
The Green Party and the Left Party are getting closer to each other
They have very different opinions about climate and such things in another way
I don't know about the Center Party and the Left Party
I would think that Magdalena Andersson is forced to make a choice
I doubt that the Green Party can enter the government next year
In the early 2000s the Left Party itself warned
They saw what they thought was a new communism entering the party
What is the Social Democrats' relationship with the Left Party
And to those who are most to the left within the Left Party
The relationship with the Left Party is that they depend on them
She is extremely dependent even though they would have great difficulty putting them in a government
I haven't heard anything particularly sharp from Magdalena Andersson
What's happening in the Left Party She has pretty much the same problem herself
She has a picture of herself sitting in the Riksdag so to speak
Also from the Palestine and Gaza conflict
The red-green opposition is a bit vague on these issues
The Social Democrats also have criticism directed at them
It has been very impactful Margot Wallström the
foreign minister was also detained in Israel
What do you think might happen within the Left Party in the near future and up to the election
The party leadership is about to get exactly hell
The anger over what they have done to these two members
The verdict has very strong support
There is every chance that it will be tough
There may even be a risk of splitting but I dare not comment on that
Men whoever is part of the party is divided and there is a big argument
I don't know how this will end but it's going to be tough
How likely is it that one could see a left-wing government without the Left Party
She's probably quite big It depends on the election results of course it depends on the election results
They are wondering what Anna-Karin Hatt is taking for the election
She brings along that one absolutely should not cooperate with SD but she also brings along
You absolutely should not cooperate with the left
It is there that they stand diametrically opposite to each other the center and the left
It's just the left wing and SD going in the opposite direction
At the same time it depends on the election results
On the civil side it's pretty much that they have to almos
I would think that if the Sweden Democrats maintain their strong positio
Then it almost becomes natural to include them in a government that's what they want
It will also be something that comes up in the election campaign of course
It depends on the currency exchange rate The red-green opposition can't
manage without the Left Party so they are definitely not in the government
The Left Party those excluded now Delgado Varas and Daniel Riasat
He has openly shown his support for many demonstrations that others have seen as problematic
We had the events in Brussels where a member
of the Left Party attacked Aleksandr Eskomov
We also had a case where a leftist attacked journalist Joakim Lamott
How do you view this happening within the Left Party and why is it happening to the Left Party
We have different parts of extremism
This part of the Left Party can be called a form of left-wing extremism
They are policies that the Left Party does not actually support but that they still have within the party
You have right-wing extremism left-wing extremism and Islamist extremism
All of this is something we are dealing with in society today
That's why we have a quite difficult social and political situation
Additionally it's a political debate that is completely meaningless
There they just yell and hate and threaten each other and give us voters nothing
I think the entire democracy is being undermined because of this
How important is it that this is happening within the Left Party right now
The front part and democracy in general
The Left Party this has been going on for
a long time What can be criticized about the leadership is that it has taken so long
Additionally regarding Varja she was acquitted
It was decided that the image was not antisemitic
She might be a bit uncertain about why she is out now
But of course she has always protested
She has indeed been elected to the Palestinian parliament even though it is forbidden
I agree with these comments that have been sound-deficient etc
It's just unsustainable in the long run
They have postponed it until now
Now comes the explosion and then it will be seen if they can gather again
and one of them was an attempt at a government partner
