If you’re believing God for healing but haven’t seen results, there may be a roadblock in the way. In this video, I reveal 4 common issues that can hinder your faith. Let’s clear the confusion and align with God’s Word so you can receive the healing Jesus paid for!
I've opened up many of my videos with this statement,
it's always God's will to heal every person, everywhere, every time. Now that's a pretty
bold statement and some people have not agreed with it, but it's always God's will to heal every
person, everywhere, every time. And in the same way, it's always God's will that nobody should
perish and not receive eternal life in heaven. There's not one person on this planet that God
intended to go to hell for eternity. God is a good God. However, we all have known people that
have suffered from sickness and disease and have not received the healing that God's provided.
And so as a result of that, many doctrines, many explanations have arisen to try to explain
why people have not received their healing. And unfortunately, too many of these explanations
are not founded in the scriptures. You know, do yourself a favor, don't just accept somebody
giving you an explanation if you can't find it in the scriptures. You have to learn to become a
student of the word for yourself or you're just going to believe anything anybody tells you.
And many people have been raised in denominational churches or perhaps non-denominational churches
with well-meaning pastors, well-meaning members that have believed something a certain way their
whole lives and so they'll repeat it to you. You'll hear it repeated from the pulpit and you
just accept it as doctrine when in fact you may not even be able to find a scripture to back it up.
For example, I remember many years ago I was ministering to a woman in a hardware store and
I remember her telling me that she believed the reason why she didn't always get her prayers
answered is because sometimes God has the answer yes, sometimes he says no, and sometimes he says
wait. And that was a head-scratcher for me because I have been studying the New Testament
for over 40 years and the problem with that statement is you can't find that scripture
anywhere in the Bible. There's not one scripture but yet that's a very common statement that you'll
hear in a lot of churches. Well, sometimes God says yes, sometimes he says no, and sometimes
he says wait. I hate to refute something that you may believe but I challenge you to find that
scripture somewhere in the New Testament and I don't think you'll find it anywhere in the Bible.
And yet multiplied thousands of people believe things simply because someone said it and maybe
it seems rational at the time you hear it but if it can't be substantiated with scripture we are not
to believe it. Now, because we've received so many comments and so many questions along the lines of
why some are not healed, I thought it would be good to take some time today to go over some of
the most common objections. And really a short video is not going to be able to thoroughly cover
the subject. Please understand when we bring these videos to you we feel that our instructions from
the Lord are to make these fairly short and so there's no way we can possibly cover every issue.
But I would encourage you go back and listen to other videos that we've already produced because
the more you listen the more information you will receive and you'll start to receive some answers
to some of your questions. So for today we're just going to look at four common roadblocks,
I call it roadblocks, to divine healing. We're not talking about medical healing we're talking
about divine healing. And the first one is this, this is a statement that we've heard repeatedly,
my healing may not be God's will. Now as long as you believe that it may not be God's will for you
to be healed, I guarantee you will not be healed. Because healing is something that's received by
faith and it's impossible to believe that you're going to be healed if you're questioning whether
it's God's will or not. Now I see this as a tactic or a strategy of Satan because as long as he can
keep well-meaning people thinking it might not be God's will, he can keep them sick and diseased.
And I guarantee that's the will of Satan but not the will of God. And so many people when they pray
for healing they'll pray if it be thy will. Now if it be thy will is not bad as long as you're
praying that regarding consecration. In other words, Lord I'm willing to go to Africa as a
missionary if it be thy will. But once you know the will of God to pray if it be thy will is nothing
but a statement of doubt and unbelief. And so you've got to be careful about that. This prayer,
if it be thy will, is completely unnecessary when it comes to divine healing because we already know
the will of God regarding divine healing. Now a sinner, let me just give you another side of this,
if a sinner were to pray, Lord save me if it be thy will, we all know that that would be
not a good prayer. Because we all know the scriptures teach that it's positively the will
of God to save everybody. As a matter of fact in 2nd Peter chapter 3 and verse 9 it says the Lord
is not slack concerning his promise as some men count slackness but he is long-suffering to usward
not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. So because of that
scripture we have clarity on the will of God that everybody be saved. But in the same way
the Bible gives us clarity that it's always the will of God for everybody to be healed.
And really I'm just going to give you one scripture today for this but I have many videos
that cover this subject. But for today Matthew chapter 8 verses 16 through 18 it says when
evening had come they brought to him many who were demon-possessed and he cast out the spirits with
a word and healed all who were sick. Notice that word all. That it might be fulfilled which was
spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.
Now you and I are included in that word our. This verse can't simply it just can't possibly
be talking about the past I should say because if it was talking about people in the past it would
say their sicknesses their infirmities. Not only that this verse was written after Jesus rose from
the dead. So it's talking about now is talking about you and I. And this verse cannot at all
apply to the future because we know that in the millennium there won't be any sickness or disease
present. So we won't need this scripture for the millennium. So we know this that God's will
is that we receive our healing now today. Now some have asked well didn't the Lord teach us to pray
father thy will be done. Well that's a half truth and we're going to look at Matthew chapter 6 in
verse 9. Jesus said in this manner therefore pray our father in heaven hallowed be your name
your kingdom come your will be done. But notice this next part on earth as it is in heaven. Now
there is no sickness or disease in heaven. So we know from this passage that it's not the will of
God that there be sickness on earth. And I also challenge people that actually believe that Jesus
might not want to heal everybody. You search the gospels and you find just one example where Jesus
told somebody I'm sorry it's not my will to heal you today. You're not going to find it. Jesus never
once turned one person away that came to him for healing. And that alone should convince us that
it's always the will of God to heal. Now let's look at a second roadblock to divine healing.
And this is another statement that people have made pretty commonly and that is that Paul had
a thorn in the flesh. Well let's look closely at the passage where this comes from. In second
Corinthians chapter 12 in verse 7 it says and lest I should be exalted above measure by the
abundance of the revelations a thorn in the flesh was given to me a messenger of Satan to buffet me
lest I be exalted above measure concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times
that it might depart from me and he said to me my grace is sufficient for you for my strength is
made perfect in weakness therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power
of Christ may rest upon me now there is a widely held belief that Paul had sickness that God
refused to heal well this has led many to believe that God's will for some is to stay sick and not
get better but this passage makes it very clear what the thorn in the flesh was it was a messenger
of Satan to buffet him in other words it was persecution do you know there's a difference
between persecution and sickness and disease it's true that God allowed that messenger to come but
God did not send that messenger to Paul really Satan was trying to stop Paul because everywhere
he went he was preaching the gospel he was healing the sick and he was setting people free from
demonic power and the devil was getting rattled by this ministry and so Paul was continually buffeted
by beatings by imprisonments by persecution and you know we don't have time to get into it but
he told some of the things he went through for the sake of the gospel and none of the things he
talked about included sickness or disease it was all a form of persecution it was a suffering indeed
but a suffering because of being beaten and being persecuted everywhere he went and so this
revelation that Paul carried was transforming people's lives and if you and I ever get to the
place where we're preaching the gospel if we're preaching Paul's revelation and we're having the
kind of results he had we too will suffer the same amount of persecution that he suffered
but thank God his grace gives us power to overcome every bit of it you know the Bible says many are
the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all so this thorn was
really just a buffeting spirit sent from Satan now the third roadblock we've heard people say this
I'm suffering for the glory of God well people who support this belief usually point to John
chapter 9 when Jesus passed by a man who had been born blind so he was blind from birth
and the disciples asked him Jesus who sinned this man or his parents that he was born blind
so there was a common misunderstanding right there in their day and in John chapter 9 verse 3 Jesus
answered and said neither this man nor his parents sinned but that the works of God should be revealed
in him now some people have reasoned that this man was born blind so that God could get the glory
from it but the works of God that Jesus is referring to in this passage was healing not
the blindness you know blindness is not a work and it's certainly not a work from God but there
was no possible good that could really come out of this but so often people will say well I'm sick
for the glory of God because think of all I've learned from it or think of all the people I've
been able to minister to them about Jesus because of this sickness well there's no doubt that good
should be coming out of your life if you belong to God that's going to come with the territory
whether you're sick or not but the good that Jesus is talking about here the works of God that he's
talking about is the work of healing and in verse 4 Jesus said this I must work the works of him who
sent me while it is day the night is coming when no one can work and then Jesus healed the man
he didn't keep him in that condition so God did not receive glory through blindness he received
glory through healing and deliverance and it's the same way today God will be glorified far more if
you receive your healing and quit allowing the devil to lie to you and steal from you what belongs
to you and then the fourth roadblock that I want to bring up is people have said this that sickness
is God's chastening and this comes from a verse in Hebrews Hebrews chapter 12 and verse 6 which says
whom the Lord loves he chastens now I want you to notice something from this verse this is so easy
to pick apart and refute it does not say whom the Lord loves he makes sick or puts disease on them
it's always a mistake to take a small portion of scripture and create a big doctrine out of it
you cannot take a scripture like this and say it means sickness because there's no mention of
sickness in that text and there's no implication of sickness or disease in the original Greek of
that word chasten as a matter of fact W.E. Vine states that chasten literally means to child train
to educate or to teach well I just want to present this thought to you today do you know of any
normal parent that would try to teach their child in life by putting cancer on them by putting
sickness or disease or pain on them no now certainly you may have to chasten them with a
paddle or put them in a time out but nobody who is normal would try to teach their child through
a sickness or a disease and certainly God our Heavenly Father is not that way you know the
Bible says we've been made in his likeness in his image yet yes but also in his likeness
we become like God even more so when his spirit comes to live in us and the nature of God is not
to hurt or harm or destroy just like we would never want to harm or destroy our own child and
so certainly we're capable of learning lessons when we suffer things in life but God does not
have to teach us through sickness and disease he can teach us through his word which is his highest
and his best and the reason we suffer in this life is because we don't always have a good handle on
what the word says or we're not always obedient to what the word says and when we disobey the word
we have a wide open door to the devil and he's just waiting to hit us with disaster and so there
is no way really in one short video that I can possibly convey to you all of the reasons why
God wants you well and that I could possibly refute every argument but my prayer today is that you
receive some help through this message and again I want to encourage you to go back and listen to
other messages for greater clarity on this subject so we hope you were blessed today we hope you were
helped and until next time please remember to like share and subscribe to our channel and I
want to remind you that God has a great purpose for your life and it's so much bigger than you know
God bless you
