This is the story of Cinderella.
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, lived a kind and beautiful young girl named Cinderella.
Her mother had passed away when she was very young, leaving her father to raise her alone.
They shared a peaceful, loving life, until the day her father remarried a cold-hearted
woman named Cruella, who had two equally unpleasant daughters.
Even though Cinderella welcomed them, Cruella and daughters were cruel and jealous of her easy life.
Gentle spirit and natural beauty.
A few years went by, and her father passed on, and soon after, things took a turn for the worse.
Cruella wasted no time in showing her true colors.
She threw Cinderella out of the main house, and forced her to live in the barn,
and burdened her with endless chores, making her their maid.
From dawn to dusk, Cinderella scrubbed floors, washed laundry, and waited on her stepsisters.
Despite the harsh treatment, she remained kind, finding solace in her animal friends,
the birds and mice who kept her company, and understood her loneliness.
She secretly warmed herself by the fireplace each night,
whispering her dreams into the embers, hoping life might change.
One day, the king of the land was hosting a grand ball,
and every young woman in the kingdom was invited, for the prince would choose a bride.
Excitement buzzed through the air, and Cinderella's stepsisters jumped with joy,
each saying, I must have him!
Their mother declared that one of them must win the prince's heart,
and ordered a flurry of shopping for gowns and jewels at once.
As Cinderella helped them get ready for the ball, brushing their hair,
lacing corsets, pinning ribbons, her heart ached with the hope that she too might attend.
With courage, Cinderella asked her stepmother,
Can I go too?
The woman laughed scornfully.
You? Go to the ball in those rags?
The prince seeks a bride, not a servant.
You must stay here and continue cleaning the dishes.
And just like that, they swept off into the night, leaving Cinderella behind in tears.
But as she cried in despair, a glowing light filled the room.
A gentle, radiant figure appeared, her fairy godmother.
My sweet Cinderella, she said,
You shall go to the ball.
With a swish of her wand, she turned a pumpkin into a sparkling carriage,
mice into elegant white horses, and Cinderella's tattered dress into a breathtaking gown.
On her feet shimmered two glass slippers like crystallized moonlight.
But remember, the fairy warned,
When the clock strikes twelve, all will return to how it was.
Hence, you must be back before then.
She excitedly agreed.
When Cinderella entered the ballroom, all eyes turned to her in wonder,
including the prince, who felt drawn to her at once.
He asked for a dance, and the two floated across the floor as if no one else existed.
Her laughter, her grace enchanted everyone, but time flew unnoticed.
Suddenly, it was almost midnight.
Cinderella hurriedly fled from the prince's arms,
her gown unraveling into rags as she raced down the palace steps,
losing one glass slipper in her hurry.
Determined to find her,
the prince ordered that every maiden in the land try on the slipper.
One by one, they came, but none could wear it.
When the prince and his guards reached Cinderella's home,
her stepmother locked her away in the barn,
hoping the prince would choose one of her daughters instead.
The stepsisters tried the slipper, but their feet were too big,
no matter how hard they tried.
With the help of her loyal mice, Cinderella escaped just in time.
The prince saw her on his way out and asked her to try on the slipper.
Alas, it fit perfectly.
Stepmother and stepsisters were so furious to see this
that they could not do anything about it.
The prince rejoiced, recognizing her by the shoe,
her kindness, and the light in her eyes.
He asked her to marry him, and she accepted with joy.
They were wed in a celebration where even the birds sang beautifully,
and they lived happily ever after,
turning a life of hardship into a future filled with love and magic,
proving that grace and goodness will always find a way.
