Building a Cabin by a Remote Lake #1
Floor and Frame Preparation.
Fourteen months ago, while paddling my canoe with my dogs, I discovered this hidden corner of the lake and dreamed of building my own off-grid cabin here. The only access is through tough off-road trails, where I’ve often gotten stuck and relied on my winch to escape. On the far side of the lake, there’s a small road that lets me bring in reclaimed wood, an old door, and other discarded materials to give them new life.
In this first episode, I begin the floor and frame preparation for my handcrafted lakeside cabin. We explore the muddy path, gather wood along the peaceful lakeshore, and enjoy the calm atmosphere surrounded by nature. This is the start of a long journey in self-sufficient living, bushcraft skills, and building from scratch—with my loyal dogs always by my side.
Join me in the wilderness as I turn this fairytale vision into a real rustic cabin by the lake.re water sound", and enjoy the "calm" atmosphere. It's a great day to be out in nature.
