About the AD Mougin Brand
Adolphe Mougin was a famous French watchmaker, active from the mid to late 19th century. He had his main factory in Héricourt (Doubs department) and a branch in Paris, notable for his “Deux Médailles” (two gold medals) watches to mark his achievements at the World Exhibitions of 1878 and 1889
The chronometer was highly regarded by watchmakers and collectors for its reliability and ability to produce on a large scale — Mougin produced the movements and supplied them to many other watchmakers in Montbéliard and Paris
