My name is Jimmy. His name is Jake. And
this is the Weekly Dumb. Jake, have you
ever heard of Dave Plaxco? You mean our
most recent substack? No. James Zack,
that wasn't to you. That was to the man.
It is to the man cuz Jimmy Baseball has
their first female umpire. Jen Powell,
welcome to the league. Snaps and
congrats. Uh, you did miss your first
call, but so have so many male umps.
>> Um, I just don't know. I don't know how
a woman could do this job. When you see
85year-old Joe West in peak physical
condition,
>> right?
>> Stamina out the butt, making great
calls. It just seems like a man's job.
>> Stamina out the butt.
>> Pretty crazy. I was thinking of all the
sports NFL has had uh female officials.
NBA has had those are a lot more
physically demanding than baseball. The
least demanding sport,
>> almost undemanding. You need really good
eyesight
>> helps.
>> And then critical thinking and knowing
the rules and all that, but like we have
like 70-year-old umpires, but like
there's never been female. It just makes
no sense to me. But I'm glad. The other
thing, Jake, did you hear her talk?
>> I don't think so.
>> Umpire.
>> Well, yeah.
>> It was like, oh,
>> this is it. Like, this is what we worked
for.
>> So, that's cool.
>> Seeing is believing.
>> You can't be what you don't see. And now
little girls can grow up to be umpires
>> and then get yelled at on the internet.
I got a picture of you doing that.
>> My only It's my most popular.
>> It was from this weekend.
>> Yeah.
>> Maybe I'll send you that. Zach, are you
still Zach Espazito? Oh,
>> and it's a full doxing
>> at 123 fart lane.
>> That is where I live. Kim, that's
important, but not as important as this
almost broke down.
>> Speaking of rules, here's one that was
broken and correctly called by the
officials. Manny Machado and Wie
Peralta. Two just rowdy fellas. Tried
the hidden ball trick on Jiren Duran.
Right before Manny applies the tag, Wii
steps on the rubber, which you cannot
do.
>> Illegal.
>> I saw I saw like one comment being like,
"Oh, everyone pretending like you know
this rule." And then everyone was like,
"Dude, if you've ever played baseball at
any level, you know this rule." Want to
know why? Because every little league
team wants to pull off the hidden ball
trick. Yeah. So then your coach tells
you, "Okay, well, the pitcher just has
to circle the mound or go to the back of
the mound and clean your feet or do the
rosin bag."
>> It's kind of the only
>> the tying run. I forgot they had that.
>> It's kind of the only trick play in
baseball. I think coaches are like,
"Shoot, the kids heard about it and now
we have to now we have to explain the
rule to them. to try.
>> And you have to try and it's worked. But
this was the worst execution. Wie,
>> I think this is on Wii. Zack, do a
whistle noise for me so people think I
can actually do it.
>> Thanks.
>> I'll do it.
>> Yeah, I'll do it.
>> Make it like a dog bark.

Hey, hey, hey, let's uh stick with
sports. More sports. Ooh, so this is
more sports. It's a cricket spectator. I
assumed it was the sport, not the
animal. A one-handed catch while holding
two beaces in the other one.
>> And then the Yankees fan with a
one-handed catch of his own. Both
catching with their left hand.
>> Yeah, I guess I'm just out on anything
Yanks. I mean, if this was a
competition, the guy's got two bruises
in his hand.
>> Yeah, but it's a it's a lowline drive.
The other one is high guy to move his
feet like
>> Australian guy's almost more protecting
everyone, too. He's a savior. That cool.
So, we'll let the people decide which
bare-handed catch was better.
>> It's a competition of not competition,
>> but two one-handed catches.
>> No argument.
>> Hey, let's stay in Australia for the not
sports. We've got a fake seizure guy in
Melbourne. So this guy is faking
seizures in public to get strangers to
restrain him, kneel on him, sit on him,
and then as soon as they do that, he
stands up and walks away. You have to
watch this one video where they say,
"Uh, why aren't you flinching?
>> Why aren't you flinching anymore?"
>> I'm kind of mad at the public, I think,
about this one.
>> I consider this deplorable. Zach said
this man's his idol.
>> No,
>> you consider this deplorable.
>> He's turning other people away cuz he
wants specific men to sit on him. So, he
has a specific person that he wants to
sit on him. I didn't read that part.
>> Oh, it gets super creepy at surface
level. Guy faking seizures and then
running away.
>> So, he's got a type.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> What is it?
>> Uh, dudes.
>> Heavy dudes. He turns away women.
>> Yeah.
>> No, I think I see like title.
>> Not to get graphic, wasn't there a guy
who put out a sign that said, "Sit on my
face." to like women and he went viral
cuz they would just like walk past and
sit on his face. Yeah, this guy could do
this openly and like actually have a Tik
Tok account and like get a following off
it. Sit on my sit on me big guy. That
could be his name.
>> Zach's just slowly clapping off screen.
>> In New York City, Roman Shusterman asked
women in Union Square to sit on his face
in the name of achieing achieving world
peace at Union Square. It's just nothing
but women just fully like on his face
like they're closed. They're in on the
joke. So this dude in Melbourne like you
can do this. This is proof that our guy
doesn't need to be faking this. No, we
don't need to fake seizures.
>> Just put a sign out that says, "I like
when big men sit on me."
>> Don't clip that.
>> Clip it backwards. I'm not a sn
I watched Spy Kids for the first time in
my life.

Up. A 24year-old college student was
sentenced to 120 days in prison after
waving a samurai sword above his head,
threatening college staff and causing
one faculty member to hide under a desk.
>> I'm not laughing at that. I'm laughing
at the sixth grade field trip we went on
uh when we went to Sturbridge Village.
What trouble could you get in there? One
of the kids in our class, they they sold
a sword there and he bought the sword.
Oh man, you can't bring that sword on
the bus.
>> Is that a kid who broke the back of the
bus window with a wrench? Later on,
>> this little Pomeranian chased a black
bear out of a Vancouver home.
>> A 75year-old man in China found new love
online and asked his wife for divorce.
It was revealed that the woman he fell
in love with was in fact AI.
>> 75.
>> Let him love AI. Who cares? What do you
care? 75.
>> Search and rescue was called on a camper
in the woods of British Columbia. His
repeated cries were actually just him
singing his heart out to the trees. The
rescue team said he wasn't in trouble
unless you count his singing.
Our final segment responding to a
comment from the last episode. This
comes from the Whizzle 1688. I got stung
by a wasp on my ankle and that sucked.
Then I saw a movie with my girlfriend
then came home and watched Weekly Dumb.
So, my day got better. I haven't got
stung by a bee in a while. Kind of want
to. I saw one flying around my foot the
other day and I was kind of like, what's
it feel like? I I forget.
>> Yeah.
>> So, congrats, Whizzle. I think your day
has been great.
>> That was a weekly dumb
[Music]
>> cuz it stings. But
>> I haven't been stung since I was a
little kid. And the last time I remember
it hurting, right?
>> So, I want kind of want to get stung.
For one, just be like,
>> "Your old man is kicked in enough that
maybe it doesn't even hurt."
>> Yeah. Or does it still hurt? I don't
know. I'd be so curious.
>> Your voice went to a different area
there for a second.
>> I haven't had a voice in a while.
>> Beasting Jim is a problem. Sting me. Hit
me.
>> You never seen Spy Kids before? I guess
that wasn't your generation.
>> It just missed.
>> Yeah.
>> 2001 I was watching Brink.
>> It's weird. It is really weird.
