The singer is the 29-year-old Alfina Fresta from Italy. She has spastic dystonic tetraparesis, a form of cerebral palsy. Alfina Fresta performs with the Neon Cultural Association which helps people with disabilities taking part in artistic activities such as theatre and opera alongside people who don't have a disability. Stefania Licciardello, president of the Association, is seen holding Alfina in most of her performances.
She became popular online after her performance at the Sicilian Family Festival in Etna, Italy.
