You Are the Universe - Continued - A Conversation with Menas Kafatos and Deepak Chopra.

Menas C. Kafatos is the Fletcher Jones Endowed Professor of Computational Physics at Chapman University (CU) and the Director of the CU Institute for Earth, Computing, Human and Observing (ECHO), in Orange, CA.

Kafatos is an author, physicist and philosopher. He completed his graduate work in astrophysics at M.I.T. He works in many focused, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary areas, including quantum mechanics, cosmology, the environment, climate change, remote sensing, agro-ecosystems, and natural hazards, to name a few and extensively on philosophical issues of consciousness, connecting science to metaphysical traditions. He leads collaborations of his research teams with a number of universities and international institutions, including NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the California Institute of Integral Studies, Loyola Marymount University, the National Observatory of Athens and the Institute of Geodynamics, Academia Sinica, several universities in Korea, including Korea University, Chungnam, Kyungpook, and Kongju National Universities, Kyung Hee Univ., Ewha Womans Univ Korea University, and Seoul National University, Chiba University in Japan, University of Basilicata in Italy.

As dean and vice chancellor at Chapman, he promoted interdisciplinary educational and research projects, leading many science grants. He has authored more than 345 articles, is author or editor of 22 books, and co-author with Deepak Chopra of the NY Times Bestseller You are the Universe.

He holds seminars and workshops for individuals, groups and corporations on the universal principles of well-being and human potential. He has worked with more than 40 scientists worldwide in the past 10 years; 130 invited lectures in science & related areas in the past 15 years. As Dean at CU, he raised $25M in private funds, supporting its educational mission.
