Healing is Yours TODAY if You Can Believe!

God is such a good God and in part of his goodness, there's so much of it, but part of his goodness has delivered healing and health to all men. Now, I know it doesn't seem as though all men are living healed, but he is so good that his plan is that all be healed. And he actually made that plan available to us through what Jesus Christ provided for us. You know, Jesus, the Bible says that he took our sicknesses, he took our diseases, he carried our pains away to a distance. So the sacrifice was made, the debt was paid, you don't have to be sick anymore. But we know this, that not everybody enjoys health because there are some qualifications. And the greatest one of all is that we must believe. We have to believe the word of God. So healing doesn't just drop on people automatically, it comes as a direct result of what you believe. And of course, we know this, that we can't believe anything if we haven't heard about it. And so we have had in previous episodes discussed a little bit more about hearing and being healed, but Jesus knew the importance of people hearing. And so everywhere he went, the Bible says that he went about preaching and teaching, and then he was healing. But healing didn't just happen without the teaching. As a matter of fact, we have a story about the woman with the issue of blood, and she had that for 12 long years. And the only reason that she came out from her home in the condition she was in, and many believe literally crawled to Jesus because she grabbed the hem of his garment, which is on the ground. So the only way that she would have come out is if she would have heard something. And so she had to hear, hey, this man, Jesus is here and he's healing people. People are being healed. And so I want you to know, the beginning point for you is what you're hearing today. You're hearing that God is good. Jesus paid the price for you, and you can believe this and receive it just like anyone else who's received their healing in days gone by. So we're going to look at a story today that really demonstrates the mind of God in this area. Jesus validated what I'm saying in Mark chapter 9. This is a story of a man who had a mute son, and he was often afflicted with epileptic seizures. Now in verse 22 of Mark 9, it says, and often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water. Now, let me go back and say something about that, because we're kind of coming in the middle here. This man is saying the spirit, this evil spirit has thrown his son into the fire and the water. You know, in Jesus's day, they did not have a lot of psychology and medical assistance, and they literally believed in the works of Satan. And I want you to know that just because we live in a modern society doesn't mean that Satan has disappeared. There is still a devil. He still has demons working under him, and they still afflict people. But that's important for us to understand, because in order to get free from the works of the devil, you have to know that he's behind it. And so this father said, these demons are throwing my son into the fire and into the water to destroy him. You know, Satan's job description, according to John 10.10, is that he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He's a destroyer. But this man went on to say to Jesus, but if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us. He's beseeching him. He's pleading with him. This man is desperate. And Jesus said to him, you know, I get it. You're in a desperate place. No, that's not what he said. But I know a lot of people think, well, because I'm desperate, that means Jesus should do something about this right away. I wish it worked that way, because most of the world would get their help. But desperation is not what causes God to move. Jesus said to him, if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. That's a great word, folks. You know, if you just stop and meditate on that for a while, all things are possible if you can believe. So if we want all things to be possible to us, we have to understand what believing is. Believing is simply this, have faith, have faith in God. And then immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief. So this man we see was desperate. I'm sure that all of us have felt like we've had desperate situations in our life at one time or another. Some people cry out on God, and that's a good thing because he'll meet you where you're at. Other people never consider bringing God into their desperate situation. I believe you're watching today because you want God involved in your situation. And God wants to work in your situation. And that's why you're hearing this teaching today. God in his goodness brings the right message at the right time into your home or into your phone or whatever it is you're watching me from. So he begged Jesus for help, but we see he didn't have a full understanding of how healing and deliverance worked. And so he said, Lord, if you can do anything. You know, some people today really don't know if God can do something or not. They haven't been taught. They haven't heard. But Jesus settled the issue very quickly. He said, it's not a matter of what I can do, because, you know, let me just tell you today, those of you that are watching, Jesus can do all things, but it's always contingent on what you can believe. And of course, let's take it a step further. It's also contingent on what he said in his word. And you can't believe beyond what the word says. It's impossible because faith comes by hearing and hearing what the word of God says. So Jesus is saying, hey, it's not a question of what I can do. The question is, what can you believe? And if you can believe it, all things are possible. In other words, if you can believe it, your son can be free today. I want you to know if you can believe it, you can be free today. You can be free from mental affliction. You can be free from emotional affliction. You can be free from every sickness, disease, and pain. You know, sometimes we just get so used to living with pains and diseases that we just think we have to live with it. And we get so used to it that we assume we're going to live with it the rest of our lives. But I want you to know you don't have to live beyond today with what's been afflicting you, because the price has already been paid, if you'll just believe. So we can cry out, oh God, do something, do something. And God's always saying, if you'll believe, I'll move in your behalf. It's human nature, you know, let me just say this, it's human nature to always want to put the responsibility on someone else. You know, this started back in the Garden of Eden. Adam, when he was caught in his sin, and God came to him and said, what is this you've done? And Adam said, that woman he pointed the finger at her. And then she said, well, that serpent, he beguiled me. Neither of them wanted to take responsibility for themselves. And you know, that is the nature of sin. We call it the sin nature is to want to blame someone else for our problems or our struggles. Now, listen, I'm not denying that other people can do things that bring trouble into your life. But the good news is, no matter what other people do, God always has a way out. He always has victory for you. And so Jesus said, hey, you're trying to put that responsibility on me right now, but I'm going to teach you something. The responsibility doesn't lie with me. This is so important to understand if you want to receive healing from heaven. The responsibility lies within our hearts and our mouths. What are we going to believe and what are we going to say about it? And I'll tell you, when you get that revelation, you can change anything in your life. Amen. Because God will do whatever his word says he'll do. Now, you know, Jesus spent a good deal of his time on earth teaching people the word of God. And he did that because he had to give them something to believe. But according to Jesus, his own words, if you study the parable of the sower, for instance, approximately 70 percent of the people that were healed under his ministry were healed by their own faith. Time and time again, when someone received healing or deliverance, Jesus would say, your faith has made you whole. Your faith has healed you. And a lot of times when people read the New Testament or even well-meaning teachers of the Bible, they want to go ahead and showcase what Jesus did, his power, his ability, his healing. But they overlook one small thing that's so important for us today to see. And that is Jesus often said, it's your faith. He didn't say, hey, my power is what healed you. He says, your faith has made you whole. And so people that say, well, healing's been done away with. I have a question for you. Have you ever read anywhere where it says in the Bible that faith's been done away with? No, faith has not been done away with. And as long as we still can get faith through the word, we can still receive healing. Aren't you glad to know that today? You know, the Bible says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. So what he did before, he's going to do today. And what he'll do today, he'll do tomorrow and next week and next year. He can always be dependent on to be there for us and do for us what's needed. But it's by our faith, by our faith, all things are possible for us. So here's something I want you to see. When this man came to Jesus for help and he heard Jesus's response, he did not get discouraged. You know, sometimes you hear a message like this and it's easy to get discouraged. I heard one preacher recently say this about the gospel that we preach. And people like me and those that I hang out with, we call it a responsibility gospel. In other words, it's not a gospel that just gives you a free pass to do whatever you want and then whatever will be, will be. But a lot of people would like that kind of a gospel because most people don't want to be responsible. I don't know. I can't identify with that thinking because I'm so thrilled to know that I can actually make decisions and speak words and release faith and have something to do with the outcome of my life. If my life was always in the control of circumstances, it would be chaos and the same with you. And if you are having chaos, it's because maybe you haven't heard this message. This is good news. You taking responsibility is good news for your life because you can control the outcome by simply believing what God says and acting on what he says. And so this man didn't get discouraged, but his response to Jesus was this. He said, all right, Lord, I believe. But then he said, help my unbelief. Well, what does that mean exactly? Well, what he was saying was, I believe in my heart. I believe what you're saying is true. I believe you can help my son, but my head's giving me trouble right now. You know, all of us have been in situations like that where we see what the word says, but our circumstances are shouting at us. That's not what the word's giving you right now. So what are we to do with that? You know, as long as we're on this planet, Satan lives here in this planet with us. And he is an expert at throwing doubts at us. He'll speak words into our ears in the realm of the spirit that contradict what God is saying. And of course, if you have symptoms in your body, your body's telling you, you don't have it. So we have to learn to become skillful at believing God's word, regardless of what the devil says, regardless of what our body says. And that can be done. This is possible. Jesus said it is. So if you're facing a situation and doubts are trying to overcome your mind, you can't just sit silent and let the devil dump this in your lap. You know, you could say it this way. Birds can fly over your head, but they don't have to land and create a nest on top of your head. And the devil can be wandering around speaking things in the atmosphere at you, but you don't have to accept it. You don't have to let it land in you and take it. And so, of course, this requires being skillful. And this man was asking Jesus, please help my unbelief. What am I going to do about this? Well, let me read to you. Second Corinthians chapter four and verse 18. It says, But we look at the things which are not seen for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. In other words, I know there's a problem there, but I'm not going to be disturbed by that because I have a higher authority telling me by his stripes I am healed. And so we trust God over what we're seeing or experiencing. And this man was able to finally do that. Lord, I believe you. I trust you. I want you to know today you can actually be in faith, trusting God and still have some doubts in your head. But don't ever confuse those doubts in your head with what's going on in your heart. You can still see things come to pass in your life, even though thoughts will come that contradict the word. And so today I just want to encourage you. God is not a man that he should lie. He's faithful. He can be dependent upon if his word says you're healed. If Jesus said all things are possible to them that believe, then all things are possible. Then you are healed by his stripes. And so I encourage you today, make the decision. You're going to walk by the word. You're going to walk by faith and not by sight or what you feel. And all those things will become a reality in your life as well. Now, today, if you're watching and you have been afflicted with a sickness or a disease, maybe it's terminal, maybe it's chronic, something you've had for a long time or even a short time, God wants to heal that disease. So if you'll agree with me and believe me, believe with me right now as I pray for you, that can be a reality in your life. Father, I pray for those who are watching. I speak life and health to their minds and their bodies. Help them, Lord, to overcome the doubts of the enemy and to allow your word to penetrate deeply within their hearts where they can truly trust you and believe you. And right now, we thank you that your healing power is being released into them because of their faith, because they're believing and trusting you, Jesus, from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet in the mighty name of Jesus. And this word of knowledge has been coming to me today as I've been speaking that there's someone watching, that you have a diseased pancreas. It could be diabetes. It could be something else. Whatever it is, we just say to you that pancreas is being healed now by the power of God. Thank you, Lord. Now you need to just continue to lift your hands and thank him that that power is working in you and you're being completely restored. Hallelujah.
