Loggerhead Sea Turtle Encounter on Sanibel Island. INCREDIBLE daytime experience on the beach.

We were shelling like we do every weekend and came upon a nesting loggerhead turtle! We got to witness this mama turtle covering up her nest as well as making her way back into the ocean. We were accompanied by two employees of SCCF (http://www.sccf.org/) and learned a lot about this particular turtle and what the employees do to protect these loggerhead turtles and their nests.
