Lover's Key State Park; Beach Walk + Shelling and Sneak Peek at Discovery and Welcome Center!

Lover's Key State Park has one of the more beautiful beaches down here in SWFL, and it's a great backdrop for exploring. I was invited to tour the brand new Welcome and Discovery center so I jumped at the chance to see this for myself and share with my viewers. I had no idea the center was even being built!

I've been to Lover's Key State Park quite a few times, but I normally park at the North Entrance and walk the beach of the entire island. Little did I know how much more this State Park has to offer! Just a quick trolley ride or walk to the parking area will put you in the center of the action! You can rent kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, bikes and at the beach you can rent chairs and umbrellas to really enjoy the perfect day here.

The new Lover's Key State Park Welcome and Discovery Center is going to be awesome! I personally was pretty excited about the touch tanks - I love critters! I also like the idea of entertaining the little ones for a bit in an educational environment in case anyone needed a quick break from the heat. The new center will have a Ranger Station and an educational gift shop and I can't wait to see the new manatee statue! It's going to be a really exciting addition and I'm so glad I could give my viewers a sneak peek.

If you like the beach as much as I do, I would recommend a trip over to Lover's Key State Park.
