The weather forecast said sunny with a chance of showers. The reality turned out to be a little different. Riding a Honda Africa Twin in the driving rain is one thing, but when the rain turns to stinging hail nailing you right in the face as you cruise through the woods at 40 MPH, it's something else entirely. Join us on this very eventful motorcycle adventure on our Honda Africa Twins! We set out to explore the forest and find a motocamping campsite or two to plan on coming back to on a future motorcycle camping trip. We loaded up our Honda Africa Twin ADV bikes with all the gear we'd need to clear brush, harvest wood, and maybe even make a campfire and hang out for a bit. After a brief stop at a gravel pit, the light rain suddenly turned to driving hail, which continued on and off throughout the rest of our logging road explorations on our adventure motorcycles. Riding over sketchy forest roads in the driving hail was fun, and eventually we reached our destination: a very secluded motocamping campsite at the end of a very long, semi-overgrown forest service road. After poking around a bit, we decided to head back to a campsite we had previously passed and hang out there for a bit. Along the way, I wanted to test out my new adventure motorcycle soft luggage: the Tusk Pilot Pannier Bags.
