Somerset: from Wimbleball Lake to Haddon Hill

Wimbleball Lake, located in the heart of South West Exmoor, Somerset, UK, is one of the region’s most beautiful and scenic spots. The 161-foot-high dam, built using concrete buttress construction, impounds the River Haddeo and provides a water storage capacity of around 21,000 megalitres across 374 acres.

I teamed up with Trail Adventures – Drone & Boat Views for a hike to nearby Haddon Hill, where we enjoyed flying drones together. The day was misty and cloudy, creating stunning views of clouds drifting across the landscape.

This aerial footage aims to capture the true beauty of Wimbleball Lake and its dam. It is also the first time I filmed using the DJI Air 2S in D-Log mode, which allowed for extensive colour grading during editing. I am pleased with the results and plan to continue using D-Log in the future, though there is always room to improve.
