Motorcycle Camping on a Sky Island | Riding Solo in New Mexico Episode 1

I spent two weeks traveling around New Mexico in my van with my motorcycle, and I went on six different motorcycle rides into the backcountry. This, is the first video in the series. In this episode I'll get the journey started in Cloudcroft, New Mexico which is known for its high elevation and cooler temperatures. I'll visit Haynes Canyon Vista and the Sunspot Solar Observatory on my way to the breathtaking West Side Road. This road is a major connection road for many trails within the Lincoln National Forest. The road is cut along the middle of a mountain slope at about 7500 feet in elevation.
After motorcycle camping on a mountain I'll return to Cloudcroft and drive across New Mexico to the San Lorenzo Slot Canyon for a relaxing night of van camping in the Chihuahuan Desert.
