You can also sand the frame surface where the plastic film is going to lay on to increase overall adhesion. Normally this is not a necessary step if you’re sealing/doming on a piece that hasn’t reached its full cured state (which takes about 3 to 7 days). If your resin has way past the soft cured stage and is fully cured, then I recommend the sanding.

****Many commercial shaker resin molds have a slit or a notch for the needle for filling the shaker liquid. I hate this because I can never seal it properly using that. So I normally fill it in with resin.
