I started my journey in Colombo with a drinking tour, sampling everything from the alcoholic toddy by the sea to a random bevy of funky beverages that Sri Lankans call their own! Then, I explored the bounty of amazing ingredients the island nation is known for: Ceylon cinnamon, high elevation Ceylon Tea, and of course, GIANT mud crabs at the world-famous Ministry of Crab.
