1:54 Now We Are Going To Fly To Several Different Countries To Check Out Their Holiday Celebrations!

2:03 Let’s Visit Ireland First

The Irish leave a tall red candle in a front window overnight. In Ireland, they leave Santy a pint of Guinness and some mince pies.

2:32 Special Irish Traditions

There Is A Christmas Swim - Some of them meet to swim in the freezing Irish sea on Christmas afternoon – How Chilling!

Wren Day – December 26 - The people dress like wrens (often just straw suits).

Little Christmas - On January 6, traditionally, the men of the house take over for the day, preparing meals and allowing the women to have a rest.

3:12 Next, We Will Head to Norway!

In Norway, the Christmas season, called Julebord, begins on Dec. 3. People go to bars and restaurants for the whole month of December. The real Christmas celebrations begin with the Saint Lucia celebration on December 13. The youngest daughter from each family wears a white robe with a sash, a crown with evergreens, and tall-lighted candles. The boys dress up in long white shirts and pointed hats. The children wake their parents and serve them coffee and Lucia buns. Christmas trees are decorated with candles or white lights. Inside they decorate with lovely flowers such as red tulips. Plus, they create gingerbread houses and enjoy eating hot rice pudding!

At five p.m. on December 24, church bells ring to announce the beginning of Christmas. Christmas is known as "Jul." Everyone is wished God Jul! (Merry Christmas).

4:28 The Island City Of Tromsø, Norway, Although Completely Dark In The Winter, Comes Alive In December!

One can smell clementines and gingerbread. People can hear Christmas carols being sung. Even though there is total darkness, one may see the gorgeous Northern Lights or the Aurora Borealis. This usually occurs between 6 pm and midnight. They go dogsledding, cross country skiing and they enjoy old fashioned snowball fights.

The Yule Log was also born in Norway. The ancient Norse used the Yule log in their celebration of the return of the sun at the winter solstice. “Yule” came from the Norse word hweol, meaning wheel. The Norse believed that the sun was a great wheel of fire that rolled towards and then away from the earth. This is why the family fireplace is such an important part of Christmas.

5:39 So, You Would Like Christmas In Paradise, Then Let’s Go To Hawaii!

5:58 This month will be filled with fireworks, parades, and Christmas caroling done with ukulele accompaniment. Here you will find Santa dressed in a red sarong, flip flops, and an Aloha Shirt! Plus, he comes in a canoe pulled by dolphins – how exotic!

6:19 Next, Let's Head For Alaska, USA!

Their favorite songs include “Christ is born and Silent Night.” The host provides carolers with maple-frosted doughnuts, cookies, candy, piruk or fish pie, and sometimes smoked salmon.

6:20 Let’s Check Out The “Igloo,” Or The Alaskan House And See How They Stay Warm In A House Built Of Ice And Snow!!

There are three main types of igloos.

The igloo is dome-shaped and is usually made from blocks of snow that must be cut and stacked correctly. Check out the building of an Igloo in the video! Merry Christmas From The Aurora Borealis!
