It's the pup's dad, Bailey, who they're meeting for the first time.
Pup-on-the-go Axel is dazzled by his big dashing dad, so it's time to show off.
With the help of his new friend, Romeo,
Axel shows his pup how he can give the farm's biggest beasts a run for their money.
Littlest pup, Lars, is a bit less bold with meeting his dad and he goes for a softer approach.
But at the end of the day, no one needs to win this dad over.
All five pups are farm dog heroes in his eyes.
Retriever dad, Mozart, is showing his mixed breed pups a skill set from his side of the family.
Retrieving. Lively little Cooper is eager to try to keep up with dad.
But when that proves tricky, Cooper falls back on plan B to impress his sporty pup.
A wrestling move or two. Rebel dad, Major, isn't sold on the need for neatness.
And his little boy, Bandit's eyes. This is a hero indeed.
The pup's ready to get this hot shot's attention.
But it seems dad has more pressing matters to attend to.
Until Bandit spots the perfect object to really make an impression.
Bandit's sister, Pearl, can't believe her eyes and sets off to report her brother's mess.
Bandit can run, but he's not so good at hiding.
Better hope that's not mom coming.
But it's his dad, Major, and he thinks his pups made a fine mess.
Almost as good as he could make himself.
And Bandit's finally got his dad's full attention.
Bandit's out the door first, eager to take in his rugged pups every move.
Bandit can't wait to get down and dirty himself.
Until he gets so down that he can't get out.
Lucky dad's there to dig him out of a hole.
But some situations, even a hero dad can't solve.
Time for these soggy Samoyeds to run for cover and head home.
Like most modern couples, Gizmo and Q-Tip share their responsibilities.
Mom takes care of the meals.
And when dinner is over, dad handles the cleanup.
It will be a few more weeks before the Cotons get their signature cockney coats.
So for now, they stick together to keep warm.
At seven weeks old, the pups can keep busy without mom's supervision.
Brave Freddy is set on conquering every toy in the house.
Ivan, as usual, prefers to take it easy.
And Susie, well, she's looking for something to do.
Lucky for her, dad shows up just at the right time.
It's kind of hard to get his attention.
Susie's persistence pays off and she finally gets his full attention.
Susie may not be as tough as Freddy or as laid back as Ivan,
but she is dad's only little girl.
This afternoon, guard dog veteran Barney's on pup-sitting duty.
When dad's not paying attention, ringleader Rocco leads his gang on a covert mission.
A game of hide and seek.
Taking cover from dad, who's trained in the art of detecting, isn't going to be easy.
Rocco is doing well, but odd man out blue is struggling to find a hideout.
So when he spots Rocco's hiding place,
he tries to join him.
Looks like this pup needs to work on his camouflage skills.
And when the gang really blows its cover,
blue, worn out from all that hiding, doesn't even notice that dad spotted their safe house.
Today, a very special guest is coming over to watch the pups.
It's their dad, Swagger, who they're meeting for the first time.
So far, dad's got it under control.
It's not hard when the pups amuse themselves, but everyone here is so low maintenance.
Little lookalike Finn wants dad's attention, and he's not taking no for an answer.
Sometimes it takes a son to remind dad how to play.
Everyone's tuckered out from a fun day with dad.
Especially dad.
With mom on a walk, it's safer for the twins to be where dad can keep an eye on them.
Though he's not always the best role model.
And adventurous Coco doesn't miss a thing.
It looks like daddy's little girl is a chip off the old block.
The Shih Tzu triplets are home from the hospital,
and will be separated from the other animals in the house until their immune systems develop.
But try explaining that to their proud and curious papa, Oreo.
Mom's in charge around here, and she isn't afraid to let dad know it.
The triplets are vet checked, fluffed, and prepped, and ready to meet their dad.
When the pups arrived, Oreo seemed eager to meet them.
But now, coming nose to nose with his daughters for the first time, he's not so sure.
Time for the girls to turn on the charm.
In just seven weeks, the Shih Tzu triplets have gone from squirming newborns,
to playful bouncing beauties even Oreo can't resist.
