Hello. It is June 2025, and it's been a long time since I've come out with a YouTube video.
But life goes on, as usual. I filmed and attempted three vlogs before this,
but none of them felt right, I guess. However, life has been good these past two years.
And I know that's a grossly oversimplified summary, but anyways.
I suppose I got too caught up on catching up when it comes to this channel, so this time I'm just
going to say, hi, welcome back, and thanks for being here. So I spent a lot of time in Big Sur
last month, but now I'm here in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. I love this place.
It's quiet, there's not a lot of people, but there's a whole lot to look at.
After Big Sur, I ventured to Yosemite National Park. It's one of my favorite places ever,
and in the spring, might just be the best place on earth. Met up with a lot of friends here,
went on a lot of adventures, did a whole lot of nothing too, which was nice.
One of my favorite adventures here was a backpacking trip with my friends Quinn, Jess, and Isaac.
I was in the valley back in February and spotted a ledge
up on a rim that looked like it had some potential.
Fast forward to spring, snow has melted, so we gave it a try.
It turned out to be better than any of us could have hoped really.
It's also just so amazing to still get to find new spots here,
even after all these years coming to this wonderful place.
And when it's a new spot for everyone involved, it feels a little extra special.
Honestly, I have way too much footage from Yosemite to share at all.
Even the thought of doing so is a little overwhelming. I think that's why I haven't
really posted here in the last couple of years. Too much has happened and I put too much pressure
on myself to recap it all. And then the pressure gets to me and I give up, but I miss the feeling
of putting it all together, making a video not just for you guys, but for future me as well.
Being able to watch a video full of memories is something I know I'll be so very grateful
for down the road. So yeah, that's all for my Yosemite recap I guess.
Some time spent in the world's most magical valley where the sound of water is ever present
and friends are always nearby. They were good times and I'll miss them.
After Yosemite, we headed east back to the high desert of the Sierra where I am now.
I had another backpacking trip coming up with some friends from Los Angeles
to a place that I had never personally set foot but I'd seen many photos of.
This spot felt like an alpine beach oasis. Spent a lot of time barefoot playing frisbee in the sand.
Made some monopoly deal and wound up shooting my first ever job for an unreleased camera, so
that was pretty cool.
It's always great to catch up with quality humans in beautiful places,
that's one of my favorite things ever.
And yeah, of course we had to stop and say hi to these horses after the trip.
Spent the time after here with my girlfriend, checking out some lakes around Mammoth and Bishop.
There's so much accessible beauty here, it's pretty crazy.
So many amazing places you can simply drive to.
I'm much more used to Washington where you really need to put in some legwork to get to an alpine
lake and while I do enjoy walking up steep hills, I must say this was a nice change of pace.
Anyways, I'm going to sign off here for now but I do have plans for this channel
and I just want to say again, if you made it this far and you're still here, thank you.
Thanks for watching, thanks for listening and I hope you've all been well.
I'll see you soon.
