Have you ever wondered if it's truly God's will to heal you? In this powerful teaching, you'll discover what the Bible really says about healing, and God's desire to see you whole. Don't stay in doubt—let the TRUTH set you free!
I've had so many people ask me, how can you be so sure that it's always the will of God to heal
people? Well, the answer is very simple. The Bible tells me so. You know, the Bible makes it so clear
what is a work of the devil and what is a work of God. And I'm going to read to you from John
chapter 10 and verse 10 from the Amplified Classic to begin with today. And it says this,
the thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. There is Satan's job description
right there. So I would say this, anything that steals from us, anything that kills and anything
that destroys is a work of Satan. But then it goes on to say, I came that they may have life
and enjoy life and have it in abundance to the full till it overflows. Listen, folks, I don't
know of anybody who's plagued with disease that's saying, hey, I'm having life that's
filled to overflowing today. And so we know this, that disease is not of God. Anything that steals,
kills or destroys, I'm telling you, that's the description of disease. That's a description
of sickness. But anything that gives life is from God. Let's just be frank and honest today.
Disease is cruel. Disease is always stealing from people. It's robbing from people. It robs their
health. It robs their joy. It robs them of strength. It robs loved ones of the time that
they could be spending with each other. And sometimes as a loved one, you're having to
take extra time to take care of somebody who's plagued with disease. And so it's robbing people
of their time in that aspect. Disease is a thief. You know, disease will make a slave of people.
And we're not called to be slaves of anybody. As a matter of fact, Jesus has put us in the
seat of authority, and we're to be masters of Satan. Satan is not to be a master of us.
And therefore, because disease is of Satan, we are not to allow sickness or disease to master
our lives. You know, sickness is simply not of love. Sickness really is of hate. You know,
as a mother, I have three children. They're all grown now. I've got six grandchildren.
I've never once thought, gee, I think I'm going to teach my children a lesson this week by trying
to put some kind of a disease on them. You know, it's just not rational. No human would choose to
put cancer on their child to teach them a lesson. And yet we have so many people in religious circles
today that actually believe that God would put cancer on somebody. I'm here to straighten you
today. Disease is cruel. It's of the devil. It's not of God. Healing and health is of God.
And since the Bible says God is love, we know that healing comes from love.
Now, you don't want someone to convince you that sickness is the will of the Father.
If you believe that sickness is the will of the Father, you will not have the faith you
need to receive your healing. And so I'm just trying to help you today to get things turned
around if you thought it might not be God's will to heal you. You know, to believe, to actually
believe that diseases of God is to be deceived. And believe it or not, even people that belong
to God, even born-again Christians, can be deceived in areas of their lives. But if you
would search the Gospels and you would read all of the healings of Jesus, but particularly the
individual accounts, there are actually 19 individual accounts in the four Gospels where
Jesus healed somebody. And you know something? Every person that came to him in those 19 accounts
was completely healed. He never once said to somebody, it's not my will to heal you today,
or it's not the will of the Father, or I'm sorry, you'll have to go away and come back tomorrow.
That was not something Jesus did. And if you'll study it out for yourself, you'll find out that
that's true. Jesus always healed. Now, of the accounts that we see in the New Testament,
we see this one commonality, and that is disease is cruel. And we're going to look at three
particular accounts today that brings out this point, but also brings out the point that God
is good. Now, in Mark chapter 5 and verse 25, it says, Now a certain woman had a flow of blood
for 12 years, and she had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she
had and was no better, but rather grew worse. Now, this is not a picture of abundant life.
What we're seeing from this story is that this woman went through countless remedies.
She spent so much money on so many doctors until she had no money left. So, we see in this case
that this disease robbed her of her strength. It robbed her of her health. It robbed her of her
ability to be mingling in society, because according to Jewish law, if you had an issue of
blood or a flow of blood, you could not be out in public. And then not only that, it robbed her of
her finances. So, this particular case is showing us how cruel disease really is. It stole from this
woman. But when you go on to read the rest of that account, you find that she had the faith to get
out of her house. She said, If I may only touch the hem of Jesus's garment, I shall be made whole.
And when she reached him and touched him, healing power flowed out of him into her body, and she was
made completely whole. So, we see here disease was cruel to her, but Jesus was good to her. He made
her whole. So, this story alone validates the fact that disease is cruel, but God is good.
Now, let's look at a second account. In Mark chapter 1, in verse 40, it says, Now a leper
came to him, imploring him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, If you are willing, you can
make me clean. Then Jesus moved with compassion, stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said
to him, I am willing, be cleansed. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him,
and he was cleansed. Now, again, we're looking at a disease called leprosy, which was an absolutely
horrible disease. Now, when I say was, the fact is, it's mostly curable in our day. But back in
the days of Jesus, and throughout most of history, it was a deplorable disease. There was no cure for
it, and it completely robbed from people. First of all, they had to live isolated. That meant they
would never be able to embrace their loved ones again. They would never have social opportunities
again, other than with other people who had leprosy that were living in the colony with them.
The other thing is, it would result in nerve damage. And so often, they wouldn't be able to
tell when there was a problem, or a cut, or a wound. And so they would end up with horrible
rashes and infections. And then furthermore, it would eventually lead to different body parts
being deformed or completely falling off of their bodies. So they were deformed. They were
not attractive to look at. They suffered a miserable plight when they had leprosy.
So we see, again, disease is cruel. But in this case, Jesus said, it is my will. And it's always
his will, by the way. And we saw that he healed the man. Therefore, God and healing are good.
Now, let's look at one more account in Luke 13. And there are so many, but just for sake of time,
we're only going to look at three. In verse 10, it says,
Wow, that's a long time.
Now, can you imagine being bowed over where you're basically looking down to the ground
for 18 years? This would be difficult for one week, let alone 18 years. Not only would it have
been painful, but what a degrading position to have to live your life in, to always be bowed
down solo like that. I'll tell you, Satan is a cruel taskmaster. And we see, again, that from
this particular story, this disease was cruel to this woman. But Jesus was good to her. He healed
her. Therefore, healing is good. You know, in Acts chapter 10 and verse 38, it says,
who went about doing good. He went about doing good and healing all that were sick. I'll tell
you what, God was with him. And we saw demonstrated again and again throughout the Gospels that Jesus
was being good to people, because never once did he tell somebody, it's not my will to heal you
today. It was always the will of the Father to deliver people from the cruelty of Satan.
And that included sickness and disease. You know, I love the fact that Jesus is compassionate.
He's always compassionate with people. And he'll be compassionate toward you today as well. You're
not excluded from his compassion. I'll tell you what, if you could just acknowledge today that
disease is cruel, but God is good, you can receive your healing before this video is over.
Now, let me look at one more scripture. We know from the Bible that Jesus paid the price for us
to live completely healed. In Isaiah chapter 53 and verse four in the Amplified Classic,
it says, surely he has borne our griefs. That means our sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses.
Now, if you have a King James translation or a New King James or whatever your translation is,
if it only has the word griefs, you're not getting the proper translation. And anybody can take a
concordance and do a search on this and find that the Hebrew word for griefs literally means
sicknesses. So we're not talking about an analogy here. And it says he carried our sorrows and pains
of punishment. Yet we ignorantly considered him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God as with
leprosy. Now, verse five, but he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our guilt
and iniquities. Aren't you glad our sins are forgiven? The church world believes this part
of Isaiah 53. It says the chastisement needful to obtain peace and well-being for us was upon him.
So he was our substitute for mental anguish. And with the stripes that wounded him,
we are healed and made whole. Now, Isaiah was prophesying many years in advance about the
Messiah who was to come, that one of the reasons he would come, of course, was forgiveness and for
peace, but also for the healing of our bodies. And in case you think that this is referring to
spiritual healing as many have taught, it's not. And we can prove that because when we go to Matthew
chapter eight, we find out that Jesus healed the sick over and over again. It's a great chapter
because there's so much healing taking place. So Jesus healed the leper in Matthew eight. He
healed the centurion servant. Then he healed Peter's mother-in-law. I mean, there are so many varieties
of healings that you can't say, well, that was just for this type of person or just for Peter's,
the disciples' mother-in-laws. And then it says later that evening, a multitude of people came
and he healed them all. And then in verse 17 of Matthew eight, it says he did all of that healing
that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying himself took our
infirmities and bear our sicknesses. So Matthew eight, 17 validates the fact that Isaiah 53
is indeed referring to physical healing of the body. I want you to know Jesus loves you.
God loves you. Love does not put disease on people. Satan and cruelty puts disease on people.
And although disease is cruel, Jesus is so compassionate and so wonderful, and he will
deliver you from it every time. Hebrews chapter 13 in verse eight says this, Jesus Christ is the
same yesterday, today, and forever. What he did in the gospels, he'll do today. What he'll do today,
he'll do tomorrow and throughout the rest of our time on earth. And so I just want to encourage
you today, acknowledge that disease is cruel, acknowledge that it didn't come from God,
and acknowledge that God is good and wants you well, and you're on your way to health and wholeness.
Now, I want to pray with you before we close. If you have any sickness or disease, anything that's
been lingering in your body for a period of time, today can be your day of healing and deliverance
from that. So stretch your hand toward the camera and agree with me on this prayer. Father, in the
name of Jesus, I pray for those who are watching that have been plagued with the cruelty of disease
and pain in their bodies. Lord, I know that today you're delivering this good word to them in due
season, that they don't have to put up with it another day. Lord, you want your people well.
So I command you, Satan, to take your hands off of their bodies, take your hands off of their
minds in the name of Jesus, and we loose the power of God into you now, that healing anointing to flow
from the top of your head to the soles of your feet and deliver wholeness and soundness to every
cell of your body. It is the will of God and the plan of God for you in Jesus' mighty name.
Hallelujah. Well, if you receive your healing, the manifestation of your healing, I mean a notable
difference, we want to hear about it. So please make sure you write to us and let us know. Also,
